Hi , a lot want to use the Google play services outside the US , I wrote a little .sh script that you can run before setting a VPN (see : hotspotshield VPN) .
The pros of using a script file is that you can run it automatically at every boot ,along with HSS .

Hi
First copy the content of the paste to a text file then rename it to <name>.sh .
Open terminal emulator , type su then cd sdcard/
(assuming the sh file is on root of your sdcard )
Finally type in sh <name>.sh then start HSS .

hey nice want to see your name or your wished name under build number just follow the steps : -
1. root your sgy (rooted only)
2. install root explorer
3. open root explorer
4. mount R/W
5. go to /system
5. open build.prop in text editor
6. change value from "ro.build.display.id"
7. reboot sgy

i edited the value to my name , and i m stuck at samsung logo for like 10 minutes ,
now i hav to reinstall the whole system again

i had repencies rom so my builed no. was like
ro.build.display.id = repencies pro users v2.6
then i edited it like
ro.build.display.id = i Bring It
then saved , deleted the backupfile -_-
rebooted , and poof m into bootloops . Weird it shouldnt had happened , now i have to do scrip everything from start -_-

Requirements:
*Rooted Phone
*Root Exploler
1.Open root exploler and go to
System/
Search Build.prop
2.Open with text Editor
3.Search ur baseband and device model,custom rom
*Don't edit anything except baseband,custom rom,device model
4Edit whatever u want
5.Reboot
6.Look in setings/about/
7.Waaaaaaw...... Its change
Note:Copy ur real build.prop to sd card if u want restore to default changes before try this mod

Please Dont Play With Build Prop.
You forgot to mention to 'Mount R/W' in Root Explorer. You can't change anything when it's mounted as R/O

sometimes I edit my build.prop file just for fun. howewver build.prop is a sensitive file. in some case it will make your market didn't work but it can also ended with bootloop. have a nice fun but be carefull with it.

THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH,I will try my best to upload,because i don't have 3g plan and the rom is about 120-130 MB and it will take very much time to upload through my active plan,wait for 3-4 days maybe i get 3g plan and will upload it as fast as i can and maybe i am the first one to make a rom for this phone.

It's very funny to listen,but i tried micromax a52 custom rom,i tweaked it to my like,added init.d file,swap added and second partition done,now the ram is 150-160 MB ,Very fast,adfree as system app and added many hosts to prevent ads on free apps,replaced many application like file manager with root explorer,If u take a look at the fonts,i have also changed them and resolution also changed,now trying to change icons.And i will upload it very soon maybe tomorrow or day after tomorrow,will go to cyber cafe.But,i need money!!

Hi,happy holi.Today was holi and I everywhere the city was closed and tommorow I am gonna upload it on cybercafe.
I did modification with stock rom and build.prop changes and added init.d, replaced system apps with some other apps.
Added holo as stock launcher and is pre-rooted.Changed font style and thete are kernel tweaks as well.

I have tried almost all the tutorials over the past seven days to root my newly bought A25, but I failed. I have installed proper drivers and tried many scatter files. Even, I used MTKDroidTools to create my own scatter file and flash the boot.img or recovery.img. But no luck. All the time, two types of error occurs. If I don't disable the "DA Download", it shows "BROM Error" and if I disable the "DA Download", it shows "Partition size changed" error. Could anyone please help me rooting my A25?

I just copied the script to init.d folder by using x-plore,
Restart my phone n walla it works

You could also download the zip file, place it on sd card. Go to recovery, mount system, mount data. Flash int2extv2.zip. Wipe sd ext and dalvik cache, reboot.

Hello friends as the topic says. I require a proper guidance on this one please. So I have followed a guide and have successfully created a ported cm11 rom. The problems for which I require help are:
1. My sim is not detected always "No Service" in notification panel.
2. Internal sd is not working or detected.
3. And is there a way to port rom with different resolution? Though I have read many posts and the answers are no there must be any new tool to do so...
4. How to change kernel version? Tried it in build.prop but still no use.(I'm a newbie so have this issue..)
5. And many options regarding networking or sim card are not working.
Kindlh help me out....

Tryy applyin patches... If u ve syncd newly dn according to me patches are not necessary for cm11... Bcoz it is included.... Also try using @k2wl guide for better guidance....

I'll check the page on applying patches.. The issue is after flashing the ported rom internal sd couldn't be accessed. It shows a file with no extension with the name sdcard.. When I try opening it it says elevated permission is required even though root access is granted. And not even the status menu in about device is also not accessible... And does it have anything to do with the kernel??
