(Q) Play store can't download...

why, when I want to download application at googleplaystore can not start ..,, always loading ... having to restart first ... if not restart the aplication can't download...??
I'am using Merruk kernel and stock rom DxLC1...
Please help me...!!!

try clearing cache and user data and then try to download it

The kernel has some bugs. Anyway, you could go to Settings>Application Settings>Memory Usage ang fing Google Play Store and wipe data. If it doesnt work, download the latest Play Store apk from the internet and make it a system app.

You can try flashing a merruk kernel supported rom like hybrid
Then check...

Does your phone deodexed? If yes, that is the problem. Deodexed rom can't download update on phones apps unless on the other market like blackmart.

Try installing BlackMart Alpha or Applanet in you Samsung Galaxy Y
They Will Definitely Work.

Install titanium backup..restore using my backup...
paste them in Titanium Backup folder of your sd card..

Those are alternative markets..pirate markets I must say..
BlackMart has a LOT of fake apps and some even detected as virus..applanet is quite good but downloader is slow and breaks up often..

Google play keeps crashing and is unusable after installing modded version

I downloaded and installed a modded version of Play from XDA and found that it made no difference. So I reinstalled the original one. Now it keeps crashing even when I don't use it. Help please

uninstall the modded version & go google (Play Store) install it & update it

How to install? Apply update from sd or install from sd?

Dual boot for gio???????!

Hi guys while browsing xda i found this post ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1155613)about dual booting for epic 4g and wondered if its possible for gio.....Cause we could make our system partition whatever size we want too!

dont flash it will brick your gio hardware is different spec are not the same again dont flash it it wil brick your gio or else you need to buy a new gio

- Need to create ext4 partitions for data and system on SD just like you would create one for a SD-EXT, but now you need 2 of them wigh around 180+-mb for system and data to what you want..
- second updaterscripts of a rom need to be modified to mount /sdcard/system and /data as ext2/4 and install on SD..
But dunno how to let it boot or "choose" wich rom, maybbe needs something modified on the internal

By checking for gpio
Eg if you want to dual boot if home is pressed then check if gpio pin for home is high during the delay

I think bootanimation in stock rom wasnt placed on media..
Try to find the original bootanimation.zip place,then replace it with bootanimation that you want..
Dont forget the permission and owner..

No, stock rom dont use bootanimation.zip, you need a custom kernel for it to work.

thats an custom rom.
you can also just install a custom kernel, on your current rom, wich can read and show bootanimation.zip, as the normal samsung kernel doesn't.

[Q]Odex CM9

In the past, when i was still using cm9 alpha ive always odexing my rom with odexme app, and its improve my phone performance. But, after cm9 going to beta then RC ive always failed to odex my rom, it always bootlooped. Sad to being like that there's any way to odex cm9 RC? Maybe the easiest way hehe

With the kitchen you can deodex an odexed rom, but not the other way around.
You may try the following script to odex your rom, but it´s not updated for a long time, so not sure this will work. http://www.modaco.com/topic/301910-odex-script-for-unodexd-roms/

Different method, same result.
Using Titanium Backup:
--> Tap "Menu", select "Integrate sys Dalvik into ROM".
--> Reboot.
To check, browse /system/app folder, see if .odex files exist.

That option just for a donate version. But, i dont have TB donate version
I have downloaded the key pro from blackmart for unlock "integrate sys dalvik into rom" and more. But its still not work, always error

It´s because the key didn´t work and you are still using the free version. (see your pic. on top its saying free and there is still the buy option) But if I remember correctly this was unlocked in earlier versions. Peoluan tried this out and it worked for him at CM9. He also reported this speeded up his ROM, so I took a look into TB while I still had it installed, but didn´t try it out. Just remember it was not locked in the free version I had installed that time.
