aww too bad

Yeah, no FM hardware. And it is too bad. I'm really disappointed that FM support has almost completely gone away in the smartphone world. I don't get a good enough signal at my work to stream radio.

[req] vizio smart TV remote app

This would make my life so much easier. And it would be great to control my TV with my phone.

Omg your really addicted that much to your phone. Sounds to me that would be one more thing to complain about in the Dev section about " my battery life is draining " dude use the remote ! :screwy:

Fortunately I have a nexus s battery from verizon in my phone. I have phenominal battery life. On the other hand my vizio remote is always taking a **** on me.. Just would like a more reliable way of controlling. It should be easy to develope due to the fact that they are both bluetooth devices..

Your tv requires an rf transmitter which the phone doesn't have. UNLESS it is networked and can be controlled over WiFi (like alot of receivers can). But of course you need an app

The newer M3Ds from Vizio have Bluetooth capabilities. I tried to pair my phone with one and it was a no go.

My Vizio TV has built in wifi also, and I am interested in this too, cuz I broke my remote. And none of the universal ones at your neighborhood electronics store have the Netflix, Amazon, or VooDoo buttons.

This is exactly the reason I requested this app. My remote just randomly stops working.. it would save a headache if a developer would do this. After all the remote is Bluetooth..
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2
I'm sure there must be some way to do it over wifi also.

I do not have a problem reading any of the numbers. You can adjust the britnes of the time display to your liking.

I picked it up at Best Buy and I'm impressed. I took offinsert because I'm not a fan of the mounting with it and I used a longer cable that is also thicker. The speakers are impressive for a clock radio. Fm works well too.

Note 3?
I was curious how this dock would work with the Note 3? Will it mount ok or do I have to just lay it to the side?
Does it have to use Bluetooth to play music through it or is it able to do so via the USB connector?
Thanks

What features that other people talk about do you NEVER use?

I've not once, ever, used NFC. I guess I never saw the point when I could just assign a widget or navkey to accomplish the same task.
Used it at McDonalds at time or two.

Nfc, air gesture, screen mirroring, WiFi connect and all the Samsung stuff... Slow motion on the camera app? Yeah twice...
Sent from my GT-I9500 using xda app-developers app
There's practically nothing on AOSP that could be considered useless. There really isn't any added features besides photosphere. I guess NFC could be considered useless but its one of those things that when the time comes you'll be glad you have it. Photosphere, I used a couple times but it doesn't work too well with the galaxy nexus average camera quality.

No, there is plenty of uses. I pair my Bluetooth speakers and headset with NFC in under 3 seconds. I also share pictures with my less than tech savvy friends using the touch to share feature. I have also seen a couple ads with a NFC tag that give you a free song.

I guess I misread what you said, I thought you meant if you don't use NFC for purchases then there is no other use for it.

Ive never used CM profiles. I also never OC or UV.
I like the idea of nfc, but haven't used it yet. MHI, or hdmi I don't think I would ever use. Maybe miracast, but it will probably be years before it is widely implemented.

The front facing camera.
Beamed from my Maguro.
My wife actually has an NFC enabled phone but we still rarely, if ever, use it. Even if we're sitting right next to each other, I still just email or text stuff to her so she can get at it on her phone. I'm sure it might be worth it in some use cases, or for some people, but I've never used it.
Bluetooth! Gotta say, I have never used it.

Man that would be cool... Is funny but 2/4 of my TVs are Samsung and with the wife receiving her lgog yesterday we have no Samsung devices...... She had a s2 was junk.... Huge upgrade for her...IMO... but back to the point. Realizing we don't have the ir is there any type of work around maybe using Bluetooth or WiFi or a hacked Samsung app?
I'm pretty sure we could connect a remote to our device.
