Full Screen Flash Video In Browser - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

SOoo I often use first row sports to stream different sporting events. When I click to fullscreen in the browser window I can still hear sound but the whole screen goes black.....I have flash installed and am using Firefox.

Do you have auto rotation enabled? I modded my Firefox to automatically enable it and then after I hit the full screen button and rotate me phone the picture comes back.

Thanks for the reply. I do have Auto-rotation enabled, I just cant figure it out at all, the streams will play fine if I rotate my phone and zoom it to screen size, but not if I try to play it as a full screen video.

[Q] Swipe for screen shot

i have looked but could not find what i was looking for.i have an sgs3 from sprint, stock.the swipe for screen shot worked then stopped working.i dont know if an app or setting caused this.i have the feature checked in options, but still no luck.can anyone help.if this has been discussed, please direct me to where.thank you
Idk but as an alternative, you can just hold home+power and it'll take a screenshot. Did you debloat your rom? Maybe you removed the motion apk?

Try this, go to Settings, then Motion, then scroll to the bottom. There should be a section title "Hand Motions". Make sure "Palm swipe to capture" is checked.

yeah.i have tried a bunch of ways, but i am obviously doing something wrong.crazy how im making something thats supposed to be so simple so complicated..lol
Funny thing is I was watching a review on the SG3 the other day and the guy in the video couldn't get it to work either
The hold home+power button didn't work?

I gave up on using the Palm swipe method. Works sometimes and when it does I'm usually dragging a screen with it and taking a picture mid-animation. Home+ power works much better.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
It always works for me, but it can be clumsy and change the screen when you touch it. It is a neat idea, imo, so I wouldn't give up. Did you try doing a reset after wiping cache?

Make sure your using the side of your hand. (Like karate chop) place it firmly on the screen then pause for a sec then Swype. works for me every time.

Display turns off while watching flash!

Do you know any solutions to this annoying problem? Its impossible to watch full screen flash videos with stock browser. Screen turns off automatically. i tried turning on/off smart stay, no difference whatsoever. I even installed 3 different versions of flash player, cleaned the browser cache ,nothing. What the hell is this? I am so sick of this stupid bugs.
do you know a way to fix it? and no I don't wanna use other browsers.

Smart Stay works for me when watching on the actual device. Not sure why it doesn't work for you.

No, smart stay works when the room is lit but I like to watch videos in bed which makes it impossible because smart stay doesnt work in dark.

I just want to open browser and be able to watch damn videos. Why do I need to install screen timeout apps and click it everytime I need to wqtch something. How convenient is this?

Yeah , it's annoying.
But I guess Android Jellybean system files dont support adobe flash out of box so maybe tweaking system files for screen time to support flashplayer is needed.

Search for "Screen On" on Google Play. Free app, no ads. Tick the stock Internet browser and enable the service within the app (disable the annoying icon in the notifications bar within the settings). Voila, issue resolved.

I'm a consultant... ask me anything... I'll run away.
If your talking about the black bar below the status bar. I never noticed it on my N2 until you pointed it out now. I wonder if its just how the youtube app manages the screen real estate in portrait mode. I'll try it with my old Mytouch 4g later.

Well! I just tested my Note 2 and my old Mytouch 4g side by side running both videos at the same time on Youtube. Started playing the video on portrait mode then switching to landscape and then back to portrait. And found that the Note 2 was the only one that had that black bar after switching back to portrait. I also checked both version numbers on the phones and both were the same.

Youtube Problem, please help.

Hi, everything about the new update of the youtube app is just fine expect for this silly problem regarding full-screen (landscape) and smallscreen (portrait mode). Whenever I am in full screen mode my 'scrolling bar' (the bottom action bar) gets completely lost, so that I have to retract to portrait mode in order to see it and forward the video to my liking. But that is very impractical when it comes to long videos because the bar is quite small.
Take a look at the screen shots for better understanding
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance and sorry if this is a dumb question.

yes, I tried reinstalling, clearing cache and caring dalvik cache in different orders and to no success.

It could just be a rom issue then if anything you can try Team Black Out's inverted version of the app, as that is the one I use and I have no problems with it :fingers-crossed:
nope it didn't fix it, tomorrow I shall try a different rom and see if that's the problem. BUT I didn't know about this 'inverted apps' thing, just what I wanted! Great suggestion, thanks! I guess they work just add the original apps and only the color is changed right? no battery issues or anything?

what I did was uninstall the old youtube app then went to the play store and looked for Team Black Out as they have multiple apps inverted available, then in their app just download the youtube app in a .zip file that you have to flash in recovery. Yes they only changed the color and no my battery remained the same I think glad I could help!
so I changed ROMs and everything is working fine now, for anyone else with the same problem
Sent using Tapatalk 4
I don't think this is a ROM issue, I think it's a YouTube issue. I'm on a stock S3 and have the same problem.

Problems clicking on install

Anyone else having issues clicking install when you load a new app? The area on the screen works fine, its only when installing. I rotate the screen from portrait to landscape and back again to fix issue.
I have had this on several devices, but only if an app that overlays something on the screen is running. If you have an auto brightness app rubbing or something like that try shutting it off.
