hi guys,
I have a question regarding the video in camera ICS. When the 4.0.3 ICS came out, I upgraded my phone (ARC S) to the official stock rom. I quickly find out that the video camera fps were down at 26-28 in comparison to Gingerbread, which was 29.8xx, furthermore the audio was horrible. I was forced to downgrade my phone firmware to Gingerbread 2.3.4.
My question is, is there any way to upgrade to 4.0.4 and still keep the video camera quality of 2.3.4? I have seen some work has been done by jader13254, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1742758 . I tried his work by coping his modified LIB folder to 4.0.4, but i could not see any improvement. Any other solution or suggestion??
Hi ! I have ICS 4.0.4, and my framerate is about 29.7 and had no sound problems.

There are many PC software that among other things give info about source of the video file and stuff. Google for example AVIdemux.
Hello,
I'm French so the translation may not be very precise
So here I am looking to be filmed on the Galaxy SII (I9100) in 30 Mbit bitrate video and 192 kbit 48 000 Khz on cyanogenmod 10.1 (android 4.2.2) ??
I searched XDA but compatibility is jelly bean 4.1.2 and ICS.
Is there a mod compatible with CyanogenMod 10.1 ?
Thanks !! :good:

Dear Team,
I am on latest CM10.1 nightly. Its been a while since i moved on to CM10.1 . I am experiencing camera pics quality issue with CM10.1. Before CM10.1, images were fine and with less blur. But with CM10.1, images taken with camera app are very hazy and blurry. I've tried playing with all settings and auto but the results are same. Though, images come less hazy and blurry when ISO set to 100.
I think this is because of the software, because images quality were great when i was on stock ICS. Kindly, guide me accordingly, whether i need to change any settings / install any new camera app. Also, i do have HDR Camera+ app installed. There is a noticeable quality difference though not that much. I've heard about Camera FV-5 app and its rep o. Is it worth it? Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi all..., i want to ask a quick question.. can i install camera. apk and other camera extention files From xperia arc s ICS 4.0.4 firmware to my Sony xperia s.??.. because i m rooted and have ICS 4.0.4 installed........ reason to install that camera app is because i previously had sony xperia arc s on which i installed the latest version ics 4.1.B.587 World and trust me the pictures it took were great and a point to be noted that it did very low compression to photos. My generally taken photos size were +2 mb normally 2.5mb and here on my xperia S if i take photos in 12 MP camera mode , the file size is hardly 2 mb while Arc s was 8mp only.......
So i think sony software has high compression for photos which may lead to loss of details when zoomed ..............so what you guys say should we try to install Arc s ics .587 camera apk to our xperia s??
Note: the information above given is true and best to my xperience .... i m not drunk and in my senses so kindly give Appropriate Suggestions

its actually based on the stock sony camera, but it is tweaked anyhow, so yeah you have a point :good:
Xperia V Camera Mod 5.7.2 Cyber-shot
i used this one
Xperia V Camera Mod 5.7.2 Cyber-shot
perfect with stock 4.0.4. fast autofocus, perfect automatic makro, higher picture quality (up to 4,5mb per picture, instead of 2,5mb), no laggy full hd video... best user interface and functionality i tested.
!!! first install 4.7.2. read instructions.
it is only for stock ics. cm9, miui... are not supported
Sent from my Xperia Acro S using xda app-developers app
Excellent mod... But I found 4.7.2 more good because 5.7.2 one is very noisy in low lightsss I want to revert back to 4.7.2 can I do that??

You are right. stock rom with cybershot mod is the best i've ever seen on my acro s. compression under stock without mod is much to high.
i have recently installed jb and everything is fine..camera is very good but i have problem while video recording....i am talking about both 1080 nd 720p Hd video recording as well that the camera keeps on focusing the object everytime i slightly move my hand and it starts focusing which is very pain full ......it takes about 5 seconds to focus which ruins my video i hav tried different settings but no luck.........video focus was very fast in Ics so any suggestion what can we do for it?? while the camera quality is awesome......:good:

If your camera lens is not clean then try cleaning.
Otherwise video recording bug is the hot issue in JB update.

ok my lens is clean and i noticed one thing more if i disable image stabilizer there is a minor improvement and it is focusing a bit quick........
but i would say that focus issue is also present in xperia t and sp as well....i have watched videos on u tube..........
Yes, it is annoying
Has Sony release some information about the bugs in the .200 and .211 JB updates? It's annoying as hell being unable to use the full capabilities of my phone.
i really feel strange that why sony dont give attention to these problems...... Sony is a big name in Imaging World but sadly their devices are not upto the mark.... .Look at nokia ....Wow .! How best hardware they Made ...specially Camera...:good: i hope they will use android in upcoming years...:fingers-crossed:
