How To Speed Up CM9/10/10.1 - HTC One V

Hello fellow one v owners. Have you wondered why your one v has been acting slow lately? Well I believe i may have the solution to this... Scripts.
Yes believe it or not these can actually make your phone run much smoother while also improving battery/ram usage.
Here are a list of scripts that I personally use on my one v running 4.2.2 schpongle...

What's the FASTEST custom rom right now?

Hi guys!
What's the FASTEST HTC One X custom rom right now?
I know, that probably you would say that depends, they are all different, everyone has its pros and cons.. but i think that there must be a rom out there that stands out in terms of smoothness when doing the most basic activities (sending texts, browsing internet or even just scrolling the menu..)
I hate to say it, but when it comes to overall smoothness of the system, iphones are still the state of art.
I don't care whether it's a Sense, Non-Sense, miui or whatever...
can you suggest me a rom that's fast and smooth across all basic activities?
Thank you, guys!
I love viperX with faux kernel. So smooth.
Ir you want fastest may try kernel oc . It's better performances

I'd say try ordroidx. 8.3.0

I would highly recommended trying slimbean. It's smooth as silk.
Another vote here for Ordroid
stock rom is the best

Icj for aosp, maximus for ics, ordroid for jb

well since you brought it out yourself I will once again remind you that it really depends how you want to use it. I use ARHD.
All of them
The fastest out of the box and in terms of stability is probably AOSP from all I've read TBH. Though it will differ for each user depending on his/her use case. Also different combinations of ROM and kernel can affect speed.

Almost 100% correct. InsertCoin for ICS.
I've tried most of them and in terms of speed and battery life, Ordroid is the best one forme.

latest CM10 + ncx_v13_aosp + 4.2 gapps. awesomeness!
VIper X + ncx kernel + undervolting = Obscene battery life and performance
ARHD 9.7.2 + Faux12b,wonderful for my T-Mobile One X,at the moment
I bet most respondents here are just stating the rom they use and haven't actually compared against the rest. Many are loyal to a particular dev and rarely try others.
Just try them all bud and be your own judge.

One more for ViperX with Faux 12b1 kernel of course.

I would have to disagree.
My best friend has stock One X and while installing applications and configuring settings for him I noticed it is slower and it has graphic lag, not to mention it is crippled without all custom tweaks.

[APK] Seeder 1.1 entropy generator to provide significant lag reduction

Hello guys!

I guess it works on older device though. Our One X is high end phone so that's why it become placebo. My HTC Desire take this app very seriously. Haha.

If you do some thorough searching you'll find that it does nothing except force your CPU on higher frequencies and thus making it give extra performance at the expense of battery life.
Also the N7 is using a kernel on stock ROM, while the One X's kernel is a Sense kernel and might not benefit from the changes in this apk.

[Q] I need an advice, which ROM is best for me

I love sense 4, it just looks great, but i feel my phone become slower and slower. iam ready to give up sense for a good performance.
i tried costume sense but i didn't find a real difference in terms of performance.
and my power button is almost broken so i currently use KISS kernel which support Swipe 2 unlock. but KISS is for sense ROMs only.
can i have this feature on another kernels?
thank you all

My one v rc9.5 is amazing. Or else you can try cm10 or paranoid 2.99 (if you are gsm)

No one can answer this question correctly except you. Try the various ROMs available to you and decide which one is best.

[Q] Gingerbread ROM for One V?

Can Anyone port a GB 2.3.6 ROM and Kernel to One V?
Well here are some reasons why GB rom is suitable:
1. Its not resource hog. The system does not require any advanced hardware(JB and ICS does). Thus for the 2 year old hardware it can give very high performance.
2. For Gamers: Phones with similar hardware as One V running GB (Ex: Xperia Neo V) runs GTA 3, Vice City, Temple run 2, Subway Surf Without any kind of LAG!! Thats right no LAG while playing GTA 3. (Neo V lags if updated to ICS so all the Older Xperia people are downgrading to GB.)
3. Battery life : It has slightly more battery life.
Disadvantages:
1. Some apps on play Store require ICS and JB.
Since the hardware on One V is too Old with single core processor and 512mb of ram the Older software such as Gingerbread is suitable.
So anyone with idea of Porting? ROM can be ported but "Kernel"?
It could probably be ported from the Desire S if someone was up to it. Ironic how I was thinking of this earlier.
What about the Kernel?
Nobody is gonna do the kernel

Well thats Sad

Question about ROM performance

I've noticed that every ROM I've tried since switching from 4.1/Sense 4 has had small performance issues that I hadn't seen on Sense 4.
One thing that seems to be common with all 4.2+ ROMs (both Sense and AOSP) is that the notification drop-down lags noticeably, especially on the launcher. What could be the cause of this?
Also, I'd appreciate it if you guys could recommend ROMs (preferably AOSP, but Sense works) with good performance. Right now I'm running ViperX with Alex-V's kernel and I find it okay, but still a bit underwhelming.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk
Hmm for me it's the other way around, sense 5 has better overall performance due to the trimmed down system !
And as far as i can recommend roms.....i just cant, i will not compare roms by it's performance, every rom has it's own unique settings and tweaks. My only advice is to try them out and check which one suits you the best.
Cheers

Fair enough. I've tried about a dozen ROMs so far, and ViperX and AICP seemed to have the best performance.
Strangely enough, I just flashed a stock 4.2 ROM from ARHD to test it out, and this may just be a placebo but it actually seems to run significantly better than ViperX did. That's really strange considering I'd expect the opposite to be true.
Well things should go better when we have the kernel source released to make full tweaked custom sense 5 kernels.
And the difference in performance is different for everyone too.
The rom you mentioned is about full stock, viper is tweaked and has a highly adapted framework with a lot of tweaks. That can be less battery friendly.
