No, that's why we are able to flash international ROMs on U S phones.
Actually, technically speaking, it depends...the international n7105 is the same, but not the n7100 or n7000. I believe the diffs are hardware, for one thing the n7105 has LTE (just like our North American models do), but the n7100 only does HSPA+.
HTH.

Not true....
Respectfully....
The flashing of 7100 series roms to any 317, 317M, 889, 7105 series devices will produce an immediate brick...
Recoverable yes...but brick just the same...
International bases are used for creation of usable builds that are compatible...but not without much work before hand...
Some international variant devices virtually mirror their U.S. counterparts...but an absolute answer is clearly not accurate.....g

Is it just me, or do you guys find yourself checking out other carrier galaxy note 2 forums here on xda. Honestly I find it annoying jumping back and forth between the tmobile, verizon, att and sprint forums.I know there are subtle differences between the variants software wise but is it honestly enough to create 4 different forums? Alot of the tips and tricks, problems and questions being ask in these forums are very useful and relevant to other carrier galaxy note 2's. I just wanted to get poll and see if everyone else kinda feels the same way. If so, maybe we can get xda to consolidate...
Re: Poll: Combine Glalxy Note 2 forums

That would be something the developer in the development section would point out. The same could be said of people downloading the internationals versions of roms on US devices or vice versa. When i had my g2 there were plenty of roms that were out for the US device that could not be used on the international (z) device. We still however had a combined forum since in most cases the devices were exactly the same. Same courtesy should be extended to this device.
I too think it's better to have different forums for different carriers even though the phone itself are very similar. It make it easier for people to find out updates that is through the carriers only or roms
Merge at least the i317(M) and T889 (potentially also N7105) General/Q&A subforums.
Having these two separate makes almost no sense.
No. It would turn these forums into the never ending
Help lost my imei no signal
Forums
Separate please.
Keep it as it is. The adventurous can take a trip to the other forums.
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
Can you believe that there are 7 separate forums for Note2 in XDA? I find myself typing "note" into the "Find Your Device..." field very often to see what models are available, and I actually sometimes visit AT&T sections. I don't bather visiting others because it's too cumbersome.
I think it is more like we should change the hierarchy of the forums; move (combine) all Note2 forums under the "Samsung Galaxy Note II" forum which is already there, but keep each variant (different models) into different sub-forums. We would have a separate dev sub-forum for each carrier plus a general dev sub-forum to cover universal matters, but a combined themes sub-forum, etc.
Samsung Galaxy Note II
General Development-Works on all models
Development-AT&T specific
Development-Sprint specific

This makes it easy to navigate without too much clatter. We can also check the activity levels (i.e. post counts) of other Note's on one page.
Would be sweet if we had the choice to merge/collapse subforums of our own choosing for our own viewing pleasure. I know I'd merge the AT&T and T-Mo forums, so I'd view those as one for myself whereas someone else could view them separately.
XDA 3.0?

Keep it as it is. There are enough posts here to keep me busy, I never have to go to forums for our carriers to look for information.

Same here, why in the world do we have separate forums for these topics. They are basically the same phones. I myself find myself going back and forth between these forums, very annoying and also a good loss of creative potential by splitting folks up. Please merge them.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
Merge them, put GSM dev, CDMA dev, then if you really want within those have the carrier sub-forums. The sub-forums would be for things like modems. Accessories forum is already shared, if they collapsed all LTE note 2 sections to one device it would make life easier and devs would not need to have 3 or more threads for multi-carrier ROMs.

This might be a stupid question but do I have to do anything different when flashing roms because T-mobile is switching to LTE now? I am running a Galaxy note 2 t889v from Wind Mobile in Canada and we do not have LTE.

No, the same ROMs you've been using should continue working.
As before, do not flash any modems without being ready to deal with the consequences.

I suggest sticking to our device development forum Herr until you get your feet wet with the sprint gs3.
And read entire op. Don't just look at its features and pop thee download link.
Read. Otherwise we will see you posting a bricked thread, and I doubt you'll get any mercy.
Read. Read. Grab a cup of your favorite beverage and read some more. When you think you're done, read more.

I'm wondering what it is about Omega Rom that's so amazing... I see that they have a 4.2 version of it (I believe the 4.2.x version is based of a leak and not an official update). Other than that, though, I didn't really see too many other options that we don't have on TW Roms over here at d2spr. It might be a bit more polished, but I think ours are pretty darn good.

You know I went over to the international GS3 forums and I think I figured out what the problem is. On our forum on the main page is says "Samsung Galaxy S III L710" but on the I9300 forum it just says "Samsung Galaxy S III". Maybe someone can get a moderator to change that to include "International version" and maybe we'll have less people with bricks, because it seems like the mistakes usually aren't between variants within US, it's usually a mistake involving international vs US carrier ROMs

None of the international phones say "international" and this has not happened there. There is an international Note 2 and GS2 that do not have this problem. Even a capital letters sticky that says these ROMs are only for the international version has not stopped some. If people are going to blindly flash their phones without reading it does not matter what the phone is called. They should be checking model numbers.

Only ROMs, not radios/modems, boot loaders, or recoveries. You're in basically the same position you were before it was unlocked except you can now use at&t SIM cards.

OK. Cool. I'm fixing to root it today. I'm actually looking for A Samsung Stock ROM for it. We switched from TMobile to Att and the LTE seems to be working just fine. I just want to cut all the carrier related stuff because I wanna sell it and I'll sell it quicker with an Att stock ROM versus a T-Mobile one. Maybe I'll just use Titanium Backup to get all the T-Mobile junk out. Idk

It will work fine as long as you are sure that your Tmobile S3 is UNLOCKED.
Just be sure NOT to flash any AT&T modem/radios on your phone.
All the CWM flashable custom and other roms available for the AT&T will work fine
on your phone. None of these roms contain modem/radio images, no worries)
I have an AT&T unlocked S3 phone and all the Tmobile roms work fine for me too.

That would be the fastest way to hard brick your phone. The I9305 is an international version and the phone is different from the US SGS3 variant.
Ya just simply stick to what is in your forum for your phone, never stray off without plenty of confirmations that it will flash without issue. My thoughts are if you have to ask, just stay on your forum.
Thanks. I thought it will be the same as N7005 on I747 as both are running on the same CPU, just different cellular bands.

Sorry, my fault. I thought I9305 is using Snapdragon S4 but indeed it's using Exynos.
