r800AT Root

Hi,
For some reason I can make a rom that works, but I can't root. Can somebody help? I use a mac primarily but I have a win8 pc.
Pls Help

Please have a moderator move this to Q&A, also, is your phone in USB debugging mode? Flash your new rom and activate that, then try rooting it again.

I've followed 10 guides CONSTANTLY and it's was is usb debug

Help! Nexus will not boot

I know this question has been answered hundreds of times but I can't figure this out on my own. I used the stickies above and it still wont work
I went to flash MMuzy Rom and i flashed the ToroPlus instead of Toro and my Clockwork mod deleted my back up.
ADB Wont push to my phone for some reason either, a list of prompts comes up in the CMD promp.

did you wipe before flashing the rom?

Yes I did and i used that and nothing, I am trying to use the GNEX Tool but it is stuck on Waiting for Device

I don't usually use the tool kit
I made a human mistake and flashed the wrong rom.

every time someone uses the toolkit, an angel gets its wings....
using the toolkit will stop world hunger and provide world peace....
using the toolkit absolves anyone of needing ANY knowledge to actually troubleshoot or fix their device....

How can I use this when my phone won't actually boot? I am in clockwork mod and my phone wont pop up on my computer

did you even read it?
no you couldnt have since you didnt even read the part of using the bootloader (fastboot) to flash everything.

Sorry I am extremely stressed out of this and have skimmed it a lot due to people walking in and out of my office

I heard that if you enter "up up down down left right left right b a start select" into the toolkit it gives your phone infinite RAM.

Issue resolved.
I used the Gnex tool and restored with fast boot.

You know I always thought this community was a good spot to ask questions and get help.
Seems like you guys are no different than fanboys on an Iphone forum.

you know i always thought people who came to this site were willing to learn and better themselves with knowledge
seems like you (and most users now days) are no different. unwilling to learn and even accept answers given to you.

[Q] The easiest way in your opinion to root my phone?

I recently upgraded to this wonderful phone, the I747, but it's so bloated I'd like to get rid of a few apps. Will someone please direct me to the easiest thread to root my phone please and thank you!

Download Odin
Download pre-rooted stock ROM
Flash it thru Odin
Done.
If you want to keep going further.
Once rooted
Download Goo.IM app from market
Flash Team Win Recovery Project recovery thru the app
And start flashing ROMs.

easiest and safest way to root with no hustle, worrying or getting your hands dirty with clockworkmod recovery as in flashing using clockworkMod recovery which is easy but for newbies i recommend casual Root Developed/credit to/by Adam Outlier

Hi, I am unfamiliar with Samsung Phones. I currently have a LG phone without all this stuff about variants. I have a Rogers phone but I am unlocking it to run on Telus. That said can I run a Telus rooted firmware? Or does it not really matter what firmware is on the phone. Is it worth while to update the radio?

Telus firmware with Telus phone
Regers firmware with Rogers phone
ATT firmware with ATT phone.
Just change the APNs to the desired network and you should be fine.

DMF1977, I tried your way. I downloaded Odin and root66_ATT_I747UCDLK3.tar. As soon as I loaded the root66 file, I didn't even get a chance to hit start, both times Odin froze. Then I saw "Check MD5....Do not unplug the cable...Please wait". I had no choice but to shut my phone down because Odin froze and wasn't doing anything. I tried it twice. Then after I unplugged and shut my phone down I saw this in the box " root66_ATT_I747UCDLK3.tar.md5 is valid. Checking MD5 finished successfully. Leave CS..."
I remember last year having a problem with Odin conflicting with something on my laptop when I rooted my Captivate. I ended up having to root it a different way.

This is the method that I used back when I first rooted... I don't know if its the best/easiest way, but as long as u follow the directions, it's simple enough. I had zero issues..

It was easy except when Odin froze. I've seen other people have issues with Odin and Kies conflicting. Everything else on the computer was shut down when I did this.

I'm sorry, I don't know how else to help, other than try again or try a different method. I've heard casual was pretty easy, but I couldn't get it to work, so I went a different way.

I uninstalled kies just in case but this worked for me (all three methods work) but this was the easiest as far as time

I uninstalled my USBs, rebooted and reinstalled the samsung drivers and then Odin finally worked. Woot! Easy, easy! Thank you everyone!

[Q] trouble rooting

could someone please point me in the right direction on how to root my note 3 version 4.3. I am finding so many conflicting answers I would love to hear from someone who knows for sure which thread has the correct method. Thanks And I will be sure to hit the thanks button.

You need to download/flash cf-autoroot using Odin for root access.
Here is the download link: http://download.chainfire.eu/354/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-hltetmo-hltetmo-smn900t.zip
This zip file also contains Odin, so just unzip all files to a new folder in windows and odin flash
the cf-autoroot TAR file, reboot the phone and your good to go.

i actually got an email from the "XDA developers" that said to try using odin to flash a recovery and thats what I did. and it actually worked. then when i hit the turn off button it said "your phone is not rooted would you like to root it now by sliding this will root your phone, and sure enough when i turned there was the super user icon in the app drawer. thanks for your help

samsung t989 Tmobile boot up stuck at teamwin

Hi everyone.
I have a samsung galaxy S2, I tried to upgrade the Rom, but made mistake, now it boots up and stuck at "teamwin" logo. Would anyone please help: how to fix this. I appreciated for your help.

Hmm, if I'm correct and since you don't seem to be such an expert. You may have to use adb or some other android debugger to flash it from the computer. Better get searching on how to do that because I'm not going to explain how.

wow dude... were you ticked about something when you posted this? he was just asking for help man....
it sounds like your recovery got messed up. download the .img file for your phone, put it on download mode, flash the img in odin, reboot to recovery, reflash your rom. shouldnt be too bad to fix. Old thread i know, but i was just walking down the t-mob S2 memory land and saw this impolite response to a valid question
