[Q] Samsung Apps And Samsung App Store Not Working - Galaxy Note 8.0 (Tablet) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooti

I have searched this threads about this issue before I posted a new thread. I am not having the "Error Service Unavailable (1000)" that other people have reported to have.
I am trying to download an app from the samsung app store and when i click the get button it just says "waiting" and it never downloaads.
When I try to use chaton, it refuses to login and stays open with a pop up that says "checking account please wait"
I have tried to delete my samsung account from the accounts tab in the settings and then re add it again but still have the same issue.
Is there something I am missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can also try uninstalling updates too see if that helps

I solved the same issue. Follow these steps.
1. Go to setting-application manager-all-samsung apps-
Clear cache and data
2. Go to setting-accounts-samsung account-
Click on the existing account and then remove account-
Add account(using existing account)
That's it. It will work!!

Thank you everyone who helped. I ultimately just unrooted my device and factory reset everything. It solved the issue.

Try performing a hard reset (via Menu > Settings > Privacy) as this will eradicate any software bugs and hopefully resolve your issue.
Note: a hard reset will restore your phone back to factory settings.

Sorry, I did look before posting, I must've missed it. I'm on T-Mobile, but it sounds like the same problem.

How much will I lose if I do this please?
It will wipe all of your current data and rom settings, but nothing on your sd card will be erased.
The phone will be restored to the same state as when you first purchased it. You can try backing up data using a third-party app from the marketplace that doesn't require root access.

Isn't that the problem ;-P
I have had similar issues. It appears on my Desire if I ever go below 15meg spare sotrage I can't install or update anything via the market. Gmail notifications also stop working, although Exchange, Twidroid and Texts still come in fine. Try uninstalling something you don't use often and stay above 15meg free storage. That seems to work for me. Shoddy I know

Invalid signatur updating Google Apps from Market

Hello,
every time when I run the update for maps app from the market, after downloading i get the error message that the package is not properly signed.
The same thing happend with Google+ and other Google apps.
Is there a way to solve this?
I just rooted the Nexus.

Have u done anything besides rooting? Did u ever install Google wallet? I've seen that mess things up in a similar way. U can always do a factory reset. Just backup anything on ur SD card.

Nope, nothing.
Just rooted it manually via adb. (push su an SuperUser.apk)
Hmm k, i hate reset's...
That's a known issue for Germans who bought their phones at Media Markt/Saturn. Probably Samsung messed up the package signature.
Just google that issue. Only solution right now is to flash the original ROM downloadable via Google's Nexus website.
Well thanks... Just need time..
After this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1373995 everything is correct.
The Buildnumber changed from "ITL41F-something" to "ITL41F".

Download unsuccessful

I'm breaking my cherry here. Long time follower, reader, but never signed up for XDA. Now I need you!
VZW Droid Incredible 2. Stock rom. Rooted. Tried to download a short artistic video from an app I got off of Snappz (not sure if the video is going to internal storage or SD.) Anyways, thing keeps saying 'download unsuccessful.' I don't care about the download anymore. It won't stop trying to download this video. I've tried a reboot, I force stopped the process that I got the artistic video from. Out of ideas. Tried searching google and XDA. No luck. How do I stop this thing?
Edit: Deleted the app that was causing the issue. Don't know why I didn't think of that first.

Try going into downloads and cancelling it? Reboot not stopping it is odd, if that doesn't work kill and clear data on the downloads app.
Edit: also, welcome to xda

I could reformat my hard drive and reinstall Windows every time I get some malware too but obviously that's a last resort.

Reflashing a ROM is different than formatting a hard drive , but hey if you can find a solution better than a 5 min reflash cuz I dont know what else you can do to stop the download that won't download, wish I could have been more help

Could be server issues with the app or the app itself. It possibly makes a folder with the app name or something on the SD card that it saves to.

The app says that it saves to SD/downloadmanager. The folder was empty. The app didn't have a folder I could easily identify either. Didn't even think to try uninstalling the app (slaps palm against forehead.) So I did that. We'll see.

samsung account

I wanted to change my email address on my Samsung account so I deleted my Samsung account and created a new one. Now all I get is processing failed when I try to sign in with either of my accounts. I have tried unistalling Samsung apps and clearing the cache and data from it but nothing works. Has anyone got any suggestions other than a factory reset which is a last resort

Try it but notting happen
Unfortunately for some of us, after clearing cache and data, registration from the banner might look successful and we are thanked for joining, but the OTA not allowing it even after few hours.
Had to download and move update.zip to my SD card after downloading it from firmware.sciense. Note to whomever going to manually flash the update zip- it is a 2gig file and the flash time is long.
DO NOT STOP IT. GIVE IT THE 10 MINUTES TIME WITHOUT ACTIVITY. It will complete.
Note either methode yields same results.
