[Q] MLB At Bat issue darkstalker v3 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

Since Tmobile has been kind enough to give it's subscribers the 20 dollar version of MLB at bat for free had to get it but since switching to a custom rom ie darthstalker the pitch tracking location does not show up, was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or might know of a fix for it. any help would be very greatly appreciated

Did you log in? You still need a mlb account. I'm on stock and it's working, so I can't comment if it's an issue with a rom

Yeah it worked fine for me on stock just seems to not work on this rom, i like the rom so i really hate to go back to stock, occasionally it will start to show part of a pitch or 2 but never the final location or anything past half way there

Same problem on HTC One ViperOne 2.1.0
I'm having the same issue one my HTC One using the ViperOne 2.1.0 ROM. Pitch tracker works fine on stock rom, but doesn't update pitch locations using ViperOne ROM. I don't know if this ROM uses darkstalker or not. I'll be able to post a screenshot once I'm no longer a NEWB.

are you using multiple phones/tablets? It works on my phone (which happens to be the first device i logged in with), but does not work on my tablet

The pitch tracker seems to work fine on most ROMs, abut not in a few. It works on my Kindle Fire with a custom ROM and on some of the ROMs I've tried on my HTC One. Just not the ViperOne rom from Team Venom. I haven't dug into the specifics of the ROM compared to what the Op uses, but I imagine one of the tweaks breaks it.

[Q] Jedi X - ROM toolbox pro and statusbar icons - problem

So I was running Jedi XX ROM, great ROM btw. Upgraded the ROM toolbox that came with it to the pro version cause I like to burn nickles and dimes on Android apps. Anyway I decided to customize my statusbar icons, started off with new symbols for battery, wifi, signal, etc. Went fine until I updated my status bar color, then multiple service would stop working including superuser. Did the reboot as required and ended up constantly getting the notorious unfortunately, android keyboard has stopped error. tried to troubleshoot for a few minutes but decided I would just upgrade to the newer version of Jedi X, was going to upgrade this coming weekend anyhow. So installing the new ROM went fine, decided to try the statusbar change again and basically get the same issue although it has not effected my android keyboard (probably because I am using the stock samsung keyboard now) but it did however wipe out all my google accounts forcing me to re-enter them.
Anyone else have this issue, should I just abandon trying to modify the statusbar itself.
You can see what I am running from my sig. I tried to change a few icons and it cleared my accounts like you. I do not have the keyboard issue though. If you can't solve this problem, you can still play around with the boot animations if you have not already. Some are pretty funny.

Just edit them yourself with gimp or Photoshop.

[Q] Will the Cyanogen Mod V10 work with my Cricket Wireless HTC One V

I just got an HTC one v from Cricket Wireless and through a bit of patience (which i need badly ) Was able to root it with an AIO kit (Props to the dev of that kit.)
I Recently read that this phone won't be getting Android 4.1 or 4.2 .
I'm wondering (and this is why I posted in general. What roms would be awesome for this little phone and well...I've been all over the net and I'm curious as to "What's cool?"
Would Cyanogen Mod work with this phone?
Would I lose any services (Talk, Text, Data)
I'm aware of the possibility but what are the steps I can take to prevent it/recover from one (if it happens)
I do believe I have the original RUU from another website. and the android SDK on this computer.
I will probably have millions more questions and I am going through the forums, but, I'm interested in hearing what's up. I'm also new here.
Welcome! If I'm not mistaken Cricket Wireless is no sir right{CDMA}? You might want to check out the HTC Cmda thread. However most of the CDMA roms are for Virgin Mobile.

Thanks for the welcome
I believe this phone is PRIMO C according to what I've read. Yes, CDMA
Android Ver: 4.0.3
I recently did a TWRP backup (2 hrs ago) with Ver 2.3.3.0
I'm also reading about Slim Bean.
I would like to have the latest os on this phone, eliminate a good percentage of the crap this phone came with (from Cricket) and have a good time. Yes I know it won't run games very well...but the rest is fantastic.
OK Great! Unfortunately some of the roms like Slim Bean have a bug that Forces a reboot randomly. Usually when unlocking your screen. Another problem is that these roms are usually made for Virgin Mobile and that you'll have to modify them for your network. There is a thread that shows this I believe. I would suggest Rhythmic Rom. It's based on CM10 and doesn't have the reboot bug.
Sent from my One V using xda premium
I think I saw a thread on how to modify a rom to match a service provider. Like a text file or something like that. (Best comparison I can make is modifying the morrowind.ini (for the PC Game Morrowind) file to use a specific sound) So I shouldn't have a problem there. (Just found that thread think it's this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2120559&highlight=cricket)
Rhythmic Rom...I did read a thread about that last night. I think the guy's in the process of trying to solve a bug with the phone's 5mp camera not working and video recording crashes. It looks like a good rom. I might want to try to test this rom out on an emulator (if possible)
If I remember CM10 is based off of Jelly Bean, an OS I'd love to have on this phone.
While I'm at it. I'd like to say thanks for your help so far, and thanks to anybody else who jumps into this thread. This is the first time in a while that I feel like a proper n00b at something.

[ROM][Liquidsmooth v2.2 d2spr] Data Transfer Problems (Message and Calls)

Hi guys,
I'm new to posting on forums so I'll basically state the problems I'm having with the Liquidsmooth v2.2 rom. So I have tested my phone's data transfer with iPhone only and confirmed that I have been receiving my text only when I call someone else. I have also found that the incoming calls are getting blocked somehow. I've tried other roms as well and the same thing happens, so I'm not sure if it's even the Liquidsmooth rom itself. I'm not sure what's there to try, so if anyone has had experienced this before please let me know.
As of now, I'm running the Liquidsmooth v2.2 rom with the baseband L710VPBMB1. Let me know if there's any additional information needed.

Post this in the Liquid Smooth thread. There, maybe one of the devs or someone else that is also running the ROM will see your problem and maybe have a fix for you!

I don't think I have privilege to post on any forum besides the Q&A and the General forums because of my member ranking. If anyone can post in their thread and ask the devs to see if they can help me, I'd be very much appreciative for that.

ok first off, if it is happening with other roms, that rules out the liquid smooth rom itself as the problem.
question, did you have this problem on stock? like before rooting?
I'd back up flash a tw ROM or restore one and update profile and prl or re activate the phone by pressing ##72786# and letting the phone re activate after then restoring liquidsmooth and see how that goes

You're absolutely correct. I had to contact Sprint about the problem and they had told me that Sprint was doing some fixes around my area so that I had to wait until this morning. It's working fine now, I shouldn't have blamed the LiquidSmooth rom, my mistake. It was the first rom that I flashed on my new phone so I thought that might be the reason that the data to my phone got blocked. All in all, it was a temporary problem by the Sprint network around my local area.
The liquidsmooth rom's great -- very stable. Thanks everyone for your contribution.

[Q] Google Edition 4.3 (09/07/2013) Question

Being that I'm a noob (<10 posts), I can't post this in the actual ROM thread (mods, please move if you deem it appropriate).
I wanted to ask if there was a way in Google Edition 4.3 to change the clock settings to *NOT* display the hour in bold font?
Is that functionality available and I'm missing it in the settings?
Thanks yeahmann for putting that together and to the entire XDA community for all the hard work!.

As far as I know you can't change the look and feel of the widget in 4.3, however you can always install Cyanogenmod cLock widget where you can customize it. Hope this helps.

I actually ended up flashing CM-10.2 because of the availability of better config options and am so far loving it.
Thanks again and best wishes!

Whenever you get a chance can you please let me know how's CM 10.2 working for you so far? I mean can that be used as a daily driver with major things (GPS, Bluetooth, NFL, camera etc) working without any issues. If so please let me know which nightly did you flash.
Thanks.

So far, CM 10.2 is rock-solid. I flashed The Sept 5 Nightly. Reason being - Friday gives me 2 days if something doesn't work.
I tried AOKP (too many options for me -- never thought I'd say that) and both Virgin and 'stock' GE (4.3) ROMs (a bit too stock for me).
I have so far set up email (GMail and Work using K-9 + Invitation Processor) and customized some options/appearance (cLock is da-shizznit). The camera works perfectly. I have not set up Bluetooth and not used GPS, yet, but will try both tomorrow on my way to/from work. One thing that I still need to figure out is the file-system layout inside Android (i.e. /storage/0 vs. /storage/legacy, etc...) as I'm apparently using 7.4GB out of 9.6GB available. This is probably because the stock T-Mo version left most of its guts behind and/or I incorrectly cleaned the device after having flashed all the ROMs.
One thing that I've noticed (with all the ROMs, except stock T-Mo) was that when you press the power button to lock/shut-off the screen, it ends up shutting off like an old-school TV. With the stock version, it would go dark seamlessly.
Regardless, I really enjoy having this phone now that I flashed CM on it. The fact that they provide an 'update-CM' option directly inside the settings is awesome in its own right. I'll update this thread once I give GPS and BT a run (can't promise I'll run TV apps on it, though -- that's not my cup-o-tea).
Best!
if you find certain things to be a bit buggy on CM, give Virgin Rom another try. the hardware elements of the phone work flawlessly. in an ideal world, someone would use Virgin Rom as a base and "Cyanogenize" it so that more things were customizable, such as Quick Setting toggles. CM is great, but the nightlies don't have the stability that the GE Roms have, obviously.
Thanks for your inputs...I guess back up of your old Roms may be eating up your internal space (if you have backed them up )...the old tv animation is the crt animation which Google introduced in ICS 4.0

Aaah! Good to know (about the TV animation).
I haven't backed up my old ROMs, but I'll definitely investigate space usage once I find some time.
Tested GPS and BT this morning: played a few songs over the car radio streaming over BT - awesome.
GPS is working good, too. I get a lock within 10 seconds of starting any app requiring GPS.
Thanks to all!

[Q] WiFi Tether for root users not working on SlimROM ROM?

I am about to deploy in a couple of days and I just updated my TMO S3 from an old Hyperdrive ROM (4.1.2 based) to the latest SlimROM (4.4.4 based). On the old ROM WiFi for Root users was working just fine, but now I can't seem to get it to work. It appears to turn on, but my tablet does not see the SSID, so I can only assume that it is not actually working. Does anyone have any idea how to make this work? I have run searches and tried to find something obvious, but I have not found anything so far that works. I am now very short on time and don't have several more days to spend looking further. Any suggestions?
Im sorry I don't have an answer for you, but I wanted to suggest posting your question in the roms thread. Not many people check the Q&A lately, and you'd have more people who are familiar with that rom seeing your question.
Good luck!

Appreciate the info...
You could also check if the same rom is available in the AT&T forums. It's a more active forum and their roms are often very nearly identical to the T999's.
