[Q] cyanogenmod ROM (cdma) issue

It seems those working on this ROM don't like to keep people updated so I must fix this myself, but I need help. I'm on the latest cyanogen ROM and mms does not work. It will not send whether on wifi or regular. Does ANYONE have any suggestions of where to look to fix this. I'm not a newb by any means, I've just never ran into anything like this. So any help would be appreciated.
On a side note, not all new members on XDA have no clue so I find it rude and discriminatory to label them as such by not letting them post on the development page and other annoying issues.

This has been a well known issue with the CDMA ROM for several months now. Its by no means knew news. If you would have read the thread for more than 2 pages, you would have seen that. I'm working on a fix for the MMS issue, so we can have a flawless ROM.

I actually read about 50 pages worth and saw nothing. But atleast someone is working on it. I'm going to rip apart the stock ROM and see what I can find. I'm use to working on motorolas, but again, thank you.

volume wake not working cm10.1

the volume wake option in this rom works sporadically at best. I have noticed that is doesnt matter if the phone is in deep sleep mode or not. it has a mind of its own. anyone know of a permanent fix for this issue?
I suspect that it might have something to do with the "experimental" part in the rom name but I need some clarification on this if possible.

Youre in the wrong section buddy. Questions/Issues go in the Q&A forums. Not sure if you intentionally placed this thread here but i reported it, they should be moving it for you shortly!
As for your issue, it may be a kernel thing, try a different kernel.
I dont like that feature so i dont use it. Therefore i cant say i had issues with it or not. As you've already stated, its experimental, there is a newer M2 version you could also try.

Bug report for a two month old nightly. Really?

sorry everyone.... not trying to be a pest. just didnt know if this was a common issue in this build or not - thanks for the responses. I was going to run the update but I didnt want to do that wihtout some solid responses. I appreciate the help.

[Q]Dirty Unicorns and WiFi Tether App

I am really in love with the AOKP Dirty Unicorns ROM for this phone. The only Issue I am having is getting the WiFi Tether App to work.
The log shows that Ad-hoc fails. Are there any work around or fixes for this issue? 4G tethering is my only source of interwebz. And I would love to use that ROM. If anyone know anything please let me know. Thanks

Not flaming...but if you would have searched in xda or just scrolled through the Q&A section. I just posted a fix for another member. Here is the link to that thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2414035 ... The link to a WiFi tethering app is in the second or third post.. It will require a little setup to work.. If you need help you can post back and I'll tell you my setup.. Hope this helps..

I was searching for another member and ran across a drop box link..gave it a shot..lucky is all/or maybe the fact I looked for an hour straight...lol. Who knows...just glad I seen it..Glad it helped... And ignore my comment about searching.. I wrote that during a battle with the girlfriend.. I was hating everybody. Asking questions is why xda is here.. I mean, way else than people with like interest exchanging ideas and whatever..Thanks for taking it in stride and not getting offended..

I install the ][Kernels][AROMA] ALPHA | v9.1. Every time I get a phone call when I press receive the phone come on but on speaker. No matter what I do it starts out on the speaker. Any ideas as to what is happening? I dont have enough posts to put this in the thread it belongs, so I hope this is ok. Thanks in advance for any assisstance, its starting to get a little annoying.

You might need to reflash. Ive yet to see anyone with this issue or anybody mention it

How about when you're running stock?
Sounds like a hardware issue to me.
As has been mentioned, I also have never heard of this issue after downloading the ROM.
If the issue started after downloading ROM, but the issue wasn't there prior to flashing the ROM, it's probably coincidence.
I would ODIN stock Firmware and see if the issue remains..

Believe it or not I just fixed it. I had the DPI settings wrong and the buttons were covering each other so when I hit answer I was really hitting answer and speaker at the same time. Thanks any way.

[Q] WiFi Tether for root users not working on SlimROM ROM?

I am about to deploy in a couple of days and I just updated my TMO S3 from an old Hyperdrive ROM (4.1.2 based) to the latest SlimROM (4.4.4 based). On the old ROM WiFi for Root users was working just fine, but now I can't seem to get it to work. It appears to turn on, but my tablet does not see the SSID, so I can only assume that it is not actually working. Does anyone have any idea how to make this work? I have run searches and tried to find something obvious, but I have not found anything so far that works. I am now very short on time and don't have several more days to spend looking further. Any suggestions?

Im sorry I don't have an answer for you, but I wanted to suggest posting your question in the roms thread. Not many people check the Q&A lately, and you'd have more people who are familiar with that rom seeing your question.

You could also check if the same rom is available in the AT&T forums. It's a more active forum and their roms are often very nearly identical to the T999's.
