Are you using a "official" version or a cooked firmware?
I know that the OmniaII and OmniaII Pro are being upgraded from wm6.1 to wm6.5 using the new pcstudio...

It didn't work for me. After installing, I get a crash and the option to exit or see the error message. Too bad I can't cut and paste that error message...

that's weird
I don't own a Windows Mobile Standard device, but I tested on the emulator and on a friend's device 3 days ago (although I did some very minor changes since then) and it worked.
without the error message, it's gonna be hard for me to debug

I just realized that you probably installed the version 1.0w! (which is very old, but still downloadable from my site)
make sure you have clicked on the appropriate link to download the latest beta version.
I can confirm that it works on windows mobile standard devices!

New update for Nokia today!! -> Grab it please!

I'd really like to get my hands on that update package. So I'd appreciate it if you can grab the update and post it here. It's not difficult. Here are instructions:
1. When your device or zune reports an update: WAIT! DON'T UPDATE YET! First a little preparation!
2. Download Wireshark, install it and run it.
3. In the options make sure you have Promiscuous Mode enabled (Edit -> Preferences -> Capture)
4. Click on the network interface that has your connection to the internet. That will start a trace.
5. In the "Filter" in the toolbar enter this: http.request
6. Click on "Apply"
7. Now start the update of the phone with Zune.
8. When it's done, you can click "Stop capture" in the toolbar.
9. Then File -> Save as to save the capture as a file.
10. Post the captured file here or if it's too big, mail it to me (ask for my mail-address in PM plz).

According to folks on Twitter, some users already have the 7.10.7740.16 update installed. Unfortunately there is no Update for me avalable. I will try to capture the update, when I get prompted for.

I'm not referring to the 7.10.7740.16 update. That's just the normal Microsoft update. I'm referring to an update from Nokia! But it could be that the update will only be available if you have 7.10.7740.16 installed. I'm not sure.

Ah I see. You mean the Update provided by Nokia only for Nokia devices which updates the nokia specific firmware for the battery update and tethering? I deduced from the last integrated HTC update, that the Nokia Update will also be part of the MS OS Update to version .16.
Well, I hope that the WP7 Connector for Mac will also show me a dedicated Nokia Update. I will try to capture it then.

From the whispers in the corridors it will be around 19:00 CET = 18:00 GMT.

Great I'll have my eye on it. I've already been asked to update to 7740 but I'll hold back see if there's anything newer.

I don't care about the 7740 update. Also I don't think it makes any difference for Interop Unlock. But I can't be 100% sure about that.
But it is very well possible that you only get the Nokia update offered when you have the 7740 update installed. It won't offer you a choice of two updates. And the 7740 update was first, so I guess you should install it. Again, not 100% sure about these things.

I played with some PC apps, and I discovered People app package for ARM. I managed to install it, and suprisingly, it works. Calling, texting, adding new contacts, live tile, so I think, that trully, everything works.
It looks like this.
To install it, you have to:
* uninstall original app with Interop Tools - photo
* install app by deploying appx
Download here.
I also have the newest version from PC (10.3.10021.0) - Download
If you have any doubts or bugs, then you can uninstall this app and download "original" from store.

You right, we found it some time ago but unfortunately can't make the native language package to install along the APP. So only ENG or did you managed it?

normaly people app is an Appxbundle with all languages.

Can you share the original AppxBundle of this version of the app? I mean 10.2.
Newer versions crash just after starting them, and I'd like to try to work with 10.2.

Okey, here's an AppxBundle file of this version. It includes Belarussian, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian and Uzbek language packs as well as all available scale files.
I personally don't understand the reason to use this version. It's luggy, crashes a lot. Photos or Calculator apps at least give some new functionality, but this one doesn't.

Well, I've been using it for a week and it never crashed and performance is on par with original (except vertical scrolling, it drops frames). Even launches faster. It seems like results may vary for every device.
For reference, I have Lumia 1020, 1GB pagefile, display scaling at 150%.

Someone asked me to add the Spanish language.

I need to install WhatsApp on a Lumia 535 running Windows 10 Mobile (version 1511), but I can't find WhatsApp in the Store.
Is there any way to install it from another way than using the Store? For example with the help of a PC?

Hello! I think the time bomb was introduced only in the latest version of WhatsApp (June 2019 update). It also introduced the annoying notifications. The previous version still should work. Does anyone know where to get the older version? Only if I did not update in June...
