Hi everyone! Today our Gio forum has the large image with some specs and description, right? When I read, our gio has other name "Samsung Repp" that only sold in US without Touchwiz and running Vanilla 2.3 Android. Then some questions coming to my head:
- Repp has 1500mAH battery, that's mean if I bought Repp battery somewhere I can use it with my gio? (gio has 1350mAH that is crap)
- Can you give me the detail difference between them? I have compared them (http://pndk.tk/cP) but didn't found any difference
- Can the Gio's Touchwiz ROM installed to Repp?
if u can share a rom from galaxy repp
maybe we can loom in it

GIO does not support more than 2 points
So I rather not count on it for that to change

That depends. It's the devs interest. Basically it's made mostly for higher end phones, so I don't think this one can get that thing, but if it gets it would be awesome. It was the best rom on my s2
according to xda our device is in "Legacy & Low Activity Devices" criteria
so it could no be possible......until until cm9 fully out
by cm9 our dev's can do the same
..........so patient.......................
Our is screen is not capable for paranoid rom needs big screen

Galaxy Mini has Paranoid Android
Ya though mini may hv, it cannot be ported to sgy
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda app-developers app
it depends on the specs not only the screen.. what's the use of big screen but low ram? higher version of Android OS needs more ram to make it smooth and stable without any lags.. expect the cm7 soon it will be fully fixed, just trust the dev.
Sent from my Android System using Busybox Command.
First let relase fully fixed cm7 for our device, then others will be released also.. I trust on our devs..
Can someone please port the full Touchwiz 4 framework to the galaxy ace.
I've noticed some other threads, but the Launcher is not fully complete.
If someone could port the full framework and especially how the add to home screen appears.
Please.
Thanks.
Muhaha i am working o. Getting it as close as possible
But since its all closed source i cant do a lot

There's an increased amount of questions here, maybe we should add Q&A forums for Samsung Galaxy Gio. Galaxy ace has one now.
Just suggesting

I know, I picked ace as example because ace didn't have when it first was added. Gio is still a very active device compared to most other low-end devices. I would say the gio will have 6-12 more months of good developing before it will slow down. Awesome community here
Remember the early days when there was just jonas hendrickx, giopro, and rc3 of cm7 (and some less popular roms). Good memories.
He we are already slowing down, peak limit of the community has been reached...

I'm agree with you, there should be a Q&A section for our powerful go.

I agree with you, but do you really think that yours "+1" is enough? You must PM to Administrator. He always replies

Hello I wanted to ask if its possible if someone could port one rom from galaxy s
Sent from my GT-S5660 using xda app-developers app
I don't think so it will be possible because galaxy S is an armv7 processor phone and has greater processor speed(1ghz) while Galaxy gio has an armv6 processor and has lower processor speed(800mhz).

Everything in Android (Linux) is possible. The only thing that make different, is the difficulty!
Try porting by GSII by yourself, using Dsixda's kitchen! Here you are: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246

arnv7 to armv6 needs smali editing, and not with a builded GUI like kitchen. and resizing cuz s2 is HDPI and gio MDPI.
