Until a non-remote solution is finished, you can use Alejandrissimo's remote solution.

[Q] Locked Fastboot (Blue light) mode unlocking solution?

Is there an upcoming solution for locked fastboot mode?
is there a development for that?
I know only solution SETOOL one but it's costs money and alot /=
That's the only solution right now either pay a few bucks for the unlock or buy another phone that can be unlocked

There will never be a free option for bootloader locked phones. Both methods for unlock require 3rd party software that require "credits" to use.

Is cyanogenmod safe?

I not that big of a newbie but i really need to know because i really don't want to break my phone, and is it required that i have to unlock my bootloader? BTW I have a r800x

I am answering you from my r800x running CyanogenMod9. Yeah, it's safe. And yes, you must unlock your bootloader.

It costs around $24, I've done it, and it's the best $24 I've spent on a phone
Yes, if you need to unlock your phone go to that page... http://unlock-bootloader.com/
Alejandrissimo is guy who do this.... He will do it remotely, using teamviewer... is 100% safe... the best service you could find...
He will tell, you step by step, what to do... as our friend said "The best 24 $ I've spent on a phone"
I recommend you to go and read the testimonials in his site (link above)
I'm using CM9 RC2 and is very stable...
Cheers :good:

It was during of summer of last year...some guy was givinf out unlock codes, but verizon got wind of it and sent the guy a cease and desist letter, so he had to stop....Andross doesn't make any money from doing this, it goes to.getting the program needed to.do.the unlock....he is just the middle man and.the one that helps out a lot....I'm considering unlocking soon myself.

Any bootloader unlock for r800a

My bootloader says it can't be unlocked. Is there any way around that without having to pay.

Unless your xperia play is an R800i it can be unlocked for free by Sony. Other than that no.
I'm afraid not, you need to unlock by test point method and it costs, lately Alejandrissimo has many promotionsyou can go to http://unlock-bootloader.com/ and to check for his free unlocks and promos go to his FaceBook page search for it like Xperia Unlock Service
That's really sad I have to pay. I wonder why no one has info on how to do it.

Well i've told you a way to get it for free, all you need is patience and look through his fb page.
There is information about how to unlock it but unless you are willing to invest your money in a SETool box which is quite expensive or similar( I think there are a few options) then your option is to pay for it or get an already unlocked phone. With SETool you can get bootloader and network unlock and if you have the box you can charge for it since it's expensive as I've said before, there is a software around that claims to do it without the box but they charge for the credits to do it and I think it ends up to be the same, I haven't tried it and don't know if it actually works.

If rooted use chain fire's region away app

I'd prefer to not root and just do a straight unlock.

If you don't want to pay 40 then rooting is your only way. Also rooting is EASY.. takes 5 mins and then just install the region lock away app from playstore (costs 4 bucks ithink) or you can download that app from xda for free. Then simply UNROOT your phone and you're good to go.

As I'm on att I couldn't wait thus I paid Cellunlocker for this service. Plus being 40 days with t mobile would have made me pay for another month of service which I didn't want to do.

IF I want to root it to unlock the SIM...can I still get OTA updates? I don't care to keep it rooted...will it revert back to unroot?
Cuz,
You can root, poot, or toot that won't remove the sim unlock!
I have heard the Chain fire will sim unlock but it did not do my tmobile.
I had to pay for a Sim unlock code... I used FastGSM it worked 1st try.
Anyway... Good Luck wid dat..
1st up is... sim unlock & rooting is two different processes.

Really? IT didn't unlock the t-mobile? That's strange..I wonder why some say it did and other don't? So if I root it, does it still do OTA update if I don't install anything else? And does it get unrooted after update? How about unrooting? Does unrooting avoid them know it was ever rooted if I ever need to send for warranty?
Thanks
Most of the time unless you have really borked up things...rooting does not cause phones to go bad, although they may contribute...
Rooting.. Usually stops OTA updates...
Usually once you Unroot the phone can be put back into its original state..
Theres many kinds of unlock... Im no expert, but sim unlock is a lock from the carrier to disallow other sims... that's different from using in other areas that would be region lock..
Not to say it did not happened it makes adjustments to the modem and maybe the older modem or firmware could be persuaded to unlock but not the latest modem...
Hope all that makes sense!

Thanks for the explanation, but just want to clarify. If I root it, do the region unlock and it does sim unlock as well, I can unroot it...will the lock be reapply? Can I do OTA update then after unrooting, and will the unlock stay?
once it sim unlocked your good to go ... it won't lock back
