Sim unlock code - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I can't seem to find a cheap unlock code. Any suggestions?

If rooted use chain fire's region away app

I'd prefer to not root and just do a straight unlock.

Use cellunlocker like most of us on here have. They can be trusted.

I was going to but they are expensive, like 40

If you don't want to pay 40 then rooting is your only way. Also rooting is EASY.. takes 5 mins and then just install the region lock away app from playstore (costs 4 bucks ithink) or you can download that app from xda for free. Then simply UNROOT your phone and you're good to go.

As I'm on att I couldn't wait thus I paid Cellunlocker for this service. Plus being 40 days with t mobile would have made me pay for another month of service which I didn't want to do.

I did not know I could uproot after unlock. I may do that.

I only paid $25 from cell unlocker. Unless the price had gone up..

IF I want to root it to unlock the SIM...can I still get OTA updates? I don't care to keep it rooted...will it revert back to unroot?

Cuz,
You can root, poot, or toot that won't remove the sim unlock!
I have heard the Chain fire will sim unlock but it did not do my tmobile.
I had to pay for a Sim unlock code... I used FastGSM it worked 1st try.
Anyway... Good Luck wid dat..
1st up is... sim unlock & rooting is two different processes.

Really? IT didn't unlock the t-mobile? That's strange..I wonder why some say it did and other don't? So if I root it, does it still do OTA update if I don't install anything else? And does it get unrooted after update? How about unrooting? Does unrooting avoid them know it was ever rooted if I ever need to send for warranty?
Thanks

Most of the time unless you have really borked up things...rooting does not cause phones to go bad, although they may contribute...
Rooting.. Usually stops OTA updates...
Usually once you Unroot the phone can be put back into its original state..
Theres many kinds of unlock... Im no expert, but sim unlock is a lock from the carrier to disallow other sims... that's different from using in other areas that would be region lock..
Not to say it did not happened it makes adjustments to the modem and maybe the older modem or firmware could be persuaded to unlock but not the latest modem...
Hope all that makes sense!

Thanks for the explanation, but just want to clarify. If I root it, do the region unlock and it does sim unlock as well, I can unroot it...will the lock be reapply? Can I do OTA update then after unrooting, and will the unlock stay?

once it sim unlocked your good to go ... it won't lock back

That's an HTC thing of rooting and getting sim unlock at the same time. Rooting this will only root.

The last few time I've called tmo for my phones and my friends', it takes less than 24 hrs for them tk send it. You can request one unlock code every 90 days.

Why would you need more than one unlock code?
Does the phone re-lock after a while?
I'm kinda surprised with all the stuff that goes on here that SIM unlocking can't be done without calling t-mobile or buying from ebay.

Unlocked phones are easier to sale. I don't keep my phone more than 6 months. Plus when I get the warranty or insurance replacement phones, I need to unlock those.

Damn Got scammed. Is there a way to root this and unlock it, like this version? If so, can you link me?
How do I unlock it
forget unlocking. i'd be contacting the seller...
Its a fake phone man , contact the seller and demand a refund. Unlocking it and stuff is impossible as these Chinese phones have no development at all , try finding a phone with similar hardware z maybe that will help. .
ah right, I have seen methods to unlock these phones though. I have a giffgaff (O2) sim and it doesnt pick up any bars, I tried my EE sim and it picked it up. I dont think my phone is unlocked, is there a way to unlock it. Iv heard of SRSRoot is that the correct method?

Rooting and unlocking are two different things SRSRoot will probably root it but it won't unlock it.

Get your money back, if you paid with paypal contact the seller first and if he refuses do a charge back. Knock off phone's hardware is almost always terrible, which is why the price is so low. Even if you manage to root and install a custom ROM it will never be the same experience as having the actual S3 :\. Sorry to hear all this man.

Not without unlock currently. Which, if you were unlocked i would assume you'd have already rooted. Sad to say there isn't anything for those that didn't get the unlock while it was available on day 1.

and I totally understand. But there are like 8 threads about root, and they all have the same answer right now, and theres even a donations thread and someone who you can pay to s-off your phone.
It's getting a little nuts with these new root threads when the answer is - no, you can't root (well, bootloader unlock) right now. I mean it's literally on the front pages of the forum for this device.

Not sure why they cannot unlock your N900T they did mine as well as many others on here. Of course there is way to remove service provider lock on the Note 3 via rooting. Many threads on here about it.

SIM unlock yet?

Is there almost after 6 months of release simple and free way to sim unlock the phone? Same question about rooting (I mean SIMPLE and HUMAN way without risking to brick the phone of screwing up the warranty)?
If I remember correct Infuse 4G took a few months to be rooted/unlocked.

Yeah it worked I paid my device off like a month ago and it's usually 40 days and then you have to ask tmpbile to unlock it. But yesterday I went into an att store and had them put the sim in, and it didn't ask for a code so I knew that the app worked. After I put the sim in and registered everything I had to put the correct APN in and all was well.

I also did Region Lock Away and it worked fine for me. It's been out for a while too.
As for the risk, i've found that if you do the research and RTFM (read the f*(king manual), i.e. read the instructions carefully, there is very little chance that you will brick your phone. I rooted mine via auto root (also by Chainfire I believe), which has also been out for a while.
Also, if you're unsure, just ask. That's what XDA is for. People won't flame you for being a nub, unless...well...never mind.
Thanks to all!
