Jmz has a few ROMS out, please specify which one. If it is his stock ROM, then I am not sure why you are having this problem, works fine for me. My phone has said cant verify connection or whatever once in a while, but a reset fixes it. His stock ROM is just that, stock, with mods. Maybe the problem is with sense in general. Have you tried to do all the basic troubleshooting steps? reboot a few times, restart router/modem, if nothing else works, reflash the rom even, that could fix it.
forgot to ask, are you running a custom kernal ? did you S-OFF? if you didnt that is probably why.

I read about the JMZ rom from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173069 and downloaded the JMZ mod (V3, hoping that's the newest) from http://androidfiles.org/?developer=TotemC2&folder=JmzTotemC2

ah, okay. are you S-OFF? if not, go into original development and find the guide on how to do it, see if that would fix it.
S-OFF guide link - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2161425
if you are already s-off .. you could try flashing jmz's kernal if you havent already.

Go into the ROM thread, all issues and fixes have been addressed

This is pretty much rooted stock. As with all of "my" (HTC's) plainjane roms, there won't be improvements until the next OTA.

Its a stock rom, for those with s-off. Mainly to get ppl back to stock but rooted, if they desire to.
Is it the chinese - english Stock Rom froyo ?
Just get s-off and tried to flash this rom. Everything went fine but i see no su in programs (( No any root sw wont work. Maybe im doing something wrong ? Ive opened zip and su and busybox is there in xbin folder but no su after rom flashed .
Getting stuck on the htc splash screen any time I try to install this...
I also am getting stuck at the HTC boot splash. I'm kind of new to the custom roms though.
I used fastboot and flashed the boot.img to the boot partition. Then took the /system and repackaged it into a yaffs2 image. Flashed the result to the system partition. Don't know if thats exactly what to do.
-Jim
You just have to flash it in recovery. Nothing tricky or difficult like what the previous poster described. The instructions for flashing can be found in almost any ROM thread.

I have to return my phone to Verizon because the power/usb cable connection stopped working. I'm downloading this ROM to my sdcard and will flash with this.
Do you think this will be good enough to not void the warranty? I was linked to this: http://rootzwiki.com/showthread.php...X-INCREDIBLE-2-(vivow)-ONLY&p=39759#post39759 but I have no way of connecting my phone to a computer to run the commands.
Just attempted to install this using recovery... upon reboot I'm stuck at HTC splash screen. -this seems to have happened to others as well.

Yes running a ruu will unroot your phone by placing you back onto the stock HTC rom with android 2.2.1 froyo. And unbranded means that the rom doesn't have carrier branding, like 02 vodaphone 3 tesco mobile ect.

Just out of curiosity, are you going back to stock for warranty reasons or because your selling the phone?
If not did you know that there are custom stock roms which allow you to keep all the benefits of root and have a stock rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1029318 Look in this thread for Sense based roms (Rempuzzle or DK custom rom being the best 2) and if you need any help flashing them post here, someone will help.

Its not because i am selling the phone or something. Its because i wanted to unroot and then root again and have a rooted HTC Wildfire with stock rom. I will find a xda unroot guide and then i will post it here and ask if its a right unrooting method. I dont wanna get my phone ****ed.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA
You don't need to unroot to flash a new Rom, most roms are already pre-rooted, a stock Rom would need rooting, busybox a custom kernel etc etc installing the stock roms I mentioned would already have that part done for you and can be flashed from clockwork mod recovery, just download a sense based Rom put it on your sd card then reboot into recovery by powering off the phone, then press volume down and power to get to hboot use the volume buttons to select recovery then press power, once in recovery perform a backup, then select wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache then go to advanced and wipe dalvik cache, next choose install zip from sd card and find the rom, install it then reboot into your fresh new HTC sense Rom.
Those roms are custom though so they do have a few slight differences to a fully stock Rom such as new wallpapers that kind of thing.

Use the link i posted above
- Dowload the RUU
- Connect your phone to PC and run RUU
- This will downgrade your phone OS to eclair (android 2.1)
- Let it do the bizniss and when it boots and says finished on your PC,
you will have a ****ty phone. (but dont worry) because this is what
you want
- If it doesnt work, use another RUU and run it. Just make sure it says
2.1.x.x.x in the title to make sure u go back to android 2.1. and not
1.4 or something.
You will not have CM7 after this, or any remnants of it, it will just look like basic android. It will not be branded, i.e. it will not have t-mobile splattered all over it.

Lmao I'm glad you solved your problem but can I just say how much of an asshole I think you are! Everyone who has posted in this thread have just been trying to help you achieve what you wanted to do or like myself offer an alternative which would involves less work when rerooting your device which you did say you wanted to do.
Custom sense roms do not **** up phones especially the 2 I mentioned, its muppets like yourself that don't read instructions carefully and thoroughly, before I rooted my device I made sure I had all the tools and know how to put it all back to stock beforehand. Perhaps you should do the same next time.

Wifi stuck at "turning on"

Hey guys, can you solve my wifi issue? Two days ago I had successfully rooted my phone using HTV All-in-one kit and went on to install a custom rom(I backed up my stock rom using clockworkmod recovery before) . To my horror, the camera and audio did not work in the custom rom. I could not take pictures or listen to music via headset so i decided to restore the backup i made using Clockworkmod. It failed trice, but manage to restore at 4th try. So everything was back to normal, got the stock rom and camera to work, Except for the audio and wifi. I can't hear music via headset and my wifi just keep saying "turning on" and after a long time waiting, it says "error".
Can you guys tell what went wrong? How can I go about getting my audio and wifi to work again? I really need you help! Thank you guys in advance!

I'm not sure if I did, but I flashed the stock kernel found in this "myONEv RC5.0 FX" thread. Is that why I getting this problem? The wifi worked fine in all the custom roms I've used.

The kernel in myONEv's ADD-ON is a modified kernel or an old stock kernel, it won't work for your nandroid backup unless the modules is changed too.
What you need is the real stock kernel or use one from KISS kernel thread that is meant for Sense ROM.
try KISS Kernel for Sense... its impressively fast on the myONEv
Sorry for being a noob, but where can I get the kernel you have stated? I can't seem to find one...
Search in the Dev Section... KISS Kernel, and make sure you download the one for the Sense edition, not the CM9 edition
Thank you guys for replying! I finally got both my audio and wifi to work after switching to another kernel from Titanium-KISS thread. Thanks once again!
congratulations~

I have written this for multiple times but here again:
Recovery can NOT restore boot images cause of S-ON
So when you "switch" ROMS it is NOT enough to just use recovery
You must also always flash the correct kernel with either fastboot or AIO
So you CANNOT switch to a different ROM using the device only
you always need a pc too

[How to] Boot ALL Jellybean sense roms on cid unsupported devices

General Information
Since everything here is on fire because of the sense jellybean leaked firmware and many are crying that they do not have the appropriate CID to flash the new firmware, and some also replied to my post they are not able to boot with that UNOFFICAL and BETA METHOD i decided to write this short guide.
At first, i do not think that the rom flashed with this method is working as a daily for you, more a preview for when the devs found a way to bring the update also to carrier branded phones.
Things that are reported to work with trips 3.4.11 kernel but not with his 3.1.10 kernel are:
- Usb storage ( )
Things that will not work are:
- Sound
- Youtube App
- Wifi Dropouts, not for me but another person mentioned it
This method does not update your hboot. So you´re safe to go back. And one more time, this is just meant as a preview for now, so dont expect the full jellybean experience. be lucky that we have trip and can at least boot this
So here will be the general instructions for all jellybean sense roms.
1. Download your favourite jellybean sense rom and put it on your sdcard
A few of them:
ARHD: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1562603 (not available for now)
IC: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588669
Maximus: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1601543
Ordroid: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1836919
2. Download trips kernel from here: http://tripndroid.bindroidroms.com/TripNDroid_RVISED_3.4.11-002.zip put one copy on your phones sdcard and one on your pc
3. Repack trips boot.img found in the previously downloaded .zip with the ramdisk from the kernel which is included in your rom that you downloaded in the first step using this nice little tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1815607
Put the repacked boot.img in your fastboot folder
4. Boot your phone into fastboot mode and flash the repacked boot.img you downloaded using following commands
------> fastboot flash boot boot.img
------> fastboot erase cache
5. after this boot into custom recovery and perform a full wipe (including system, data, cache, dalvik)
6. flash your rom (just in case: tick none of the options in aroma)
7. flash modules from trips kernel which you placed in step 2 on your sdcard
8. boot into your jellybean preview.
Credits to shnizlon for the rom, to TripNRaVeR for his 3.1.10 kernel that offers this possibility , finally to chrisoverson for online repacker
I´m not responsible for anything you do to your phone!

Hi a few people have confirmed that it works, but there are some bugs as stated in the op, so you can give it a try to see what all the fuss is about and so that you don't have to feel totally left out, but currently it can't really be used as a daily driver

Already try it one the day 2.0.0 out.. but the most i hate is no in call sound.
about sd bug, I think it is because of vold.fstab, as the sd mount is different as ICS, that why it not detected in JB.
I tried this last night, and YES it does work.
However it's pretty unusable and i ended up flashing back to viperX. Still it was nice to sample Jelly Bean.

Every JB sense rom boot using trip kernel, just repack it and flash.. Already try all JB ROM, but no fun for me, as it is too buggy for unsupported CID.
@OP : Why don't you change the thread to "how to flash Sense JB on unsupported CID device" as it could boot all JB Sense ROM.

your hboot is not upgraded while youre doing this procedure so you can easily flash back
and i also mentioned it´s most likely only for preview!

Every JB sense rom boot using trip kernel, just repack it and flash.. Already try all JB ROM, but no fun for me, as it is too buggy for unsupported CID.
@OP : Why don't you change the thread to "how to flash Sense JB on unsupported CID device" as it could boot all JB Sense ROM.

it could but the boot.img i provided is only for ordroid. i don´t think it will boot with insertcoin or arhd as they made custom ramdisk modifications. But you´re right, basically if you repack trips kernel with the jb sense roms kernel ramdisk it will boot i think
I will update the thread in the evening i´m busy now because i have to break up my grandmother´s garden that sounds funny and i hope it´s correct

i did it exactly as i described in the op yesterday in the evening and there were the bugs i explained above
your hboot is not upgraded while youre doing this procedure so you can easily flash back
and i also mentioned it´s most likely only for preview!

why you need RUU or stock recovery? This is the same way to flash custom rom with our own choice kernel.

haree - What state is your phone in now? i.e. Is your bootloader unlocked?

[Q] No GPS signal CM nightly

Hi,
Ive got a one x thats had the bootloader unlocked and running with the TeamWin recovery on CyanogenMod official nightlies (21st to be exact).
I cannot get the GPS to function. In maps it will tell me its unable to determine my location and in other apps such as "GPS Test" it shows no info. Ive tried flushing the dalvik cache, repairing permissions and installing the fix detailed here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1595800.
Any help would be appreciated
(If GPS is disabled in CM nightlies what steps can I take to re enable it?)
Thanks,
-beachedazd
Hi, I'm having the same problems with mine and with the same nightly... does your GPS work on any other ROM?

Are you on one of the higher JB hboots ?
It's a common problem that the aosp/aokp roms have GPS trouble on the JB hboots !

S-OFF !!! You lucky bastard !!! Well as far as i know it has to do with the boot.img and/or repacking it. Try to search for that in the thread ...there must be more info about it there !
I should work just fine, I'm on that hboot myself.
Then a bad flash maybe
So you think I should reflash boot.img ?

Sorry guys, looks like I got it wrong. S-on like the rest of ya,

Ive reflashed boot.Img a couple of time with no luck.
Do you think updating hboot would fix it?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
I really can't give the answer to that ! I have no experience with CM roms...sorry
No, do not update hboot. It will break your gps for sure.
Try reflashing rom with wipe/factory reset option in recovery.
Can you get cellular and/or wifi signal?

I am so so stupid...i read the instructions but i did it...installing the latest hboot....
I was on 0.94.000...just perfect no problems...
Now i have 1.39,i am on 20121223 cm10 nightly for endeavoru with your modded-boot.img....
Something strange!with sygic i am ok...gps is working... but with copilot nothing is working!
Is there any way to downgrade???
I am so disapointed....i am searching for my old HD2(legend phone)
No way to downgrade, sorry.
It is strange that it works with some apps, must be the new new hboot. (1.39)
But it will be all sorted out when htc releases its kernel source.

I tried this....
with modded-boot.img i use Nibble Automated Kernel Repack Beta and any boot that i want.... so i can use every rom that i want...but i have to repack the boot.img.... not from the rom... first the modded-boot.img and then the boot.img of the rom you want to use...so you have a new boot.img that you can use!!!
