Install Instructions:
1. Do a full wipe. System,Data,Cache,Dalvik-Cache
2. Install rom then exit back to recovery.

3. Reboot to bootloader and flash boot.img that is in the rom.
4. Reboot system and see how you like the updated rom. (Takes rom 2-4 minutes to load up..be patient.)

Of Note: The skin used in the banner at top is one of Virtuous Team's skins available on play store. There is a set of three you can download for this rom. They are really good skins and highly recommended.
I'm downloading it now. Please use a different site other then sendspace. Took my about 5 tries to get the right download link without downloading a .exe or some other spyware/trojan.
Actually nevermind.. not downloading off that site, there is a severe download throttle coming from there.

sendspace doesnt have trojans. but they do sell crap. the first thing you will see is a blue download button,uncheck the accelerator check mark below it and click...the next thing youll see is the blue download link in pic i have attached. thats the actual download. their link to the rom is a simple blue text link not the big whopping download buttons.
as for the throttling. i cant control that and if i can make time and find a host that does not throttle as much as they do i will change to another host. but judging from the ones i find that are the usual suspects..they all throttle..and most even time you out without the ability to resume. i am open to suggestions.

thats devhost isnt it? last rom i attempted to download from there kept timing out and i couldnt even resume the attempts.

The only thing I ran into so far is the camcorder crashes right as I try and open it from the camera. Camera works fine at 5M but as soon as I try and switch to the camcorder it crashes to the homescreen. Also there are 6 homescreens and I only need 3, is there any way to change the number of homescreens?

Easiest solution would be a new launcher. I'm an Apex fan personally.

Pinch the screen and you'll see previews of all your screens
Hold and drag it to the X mark
that way you'll delete a screen
never had issues with camcorder but try taking a pic first then run camcorder. also of note is that camcorder may crash or video look distored if you are trying to record at highest resolution if recording in portrait vs landscape. try highest res in landscape and all others in portrait. lower your camera res before switching to cam may help also. ill boot up rom in a bit and see if i can replicate errors to find a solution.

for me camcorder crashed in qhd but not highest quality (hd) in portrait... after taking a picture
btw nice rom! some things are a little slower than other sense roms like holding home button to bring up recent apps (which I do alot) but i really like the rom so far and I really like the notification drop down how it's transparent!
you *should* be able to record in qhd in landscape mode. portrait will crash. not sure why though. now i did swap camera app to 4.0 version from what was in blue sense because it had the mirror link showing up in app drawer even though our v has no front facing camera. that could be the issue but then again it may not be.
you can kill all the lag with turboboost mod,turning animations off or to .5 scaling along with only using at most 4 screens.

Yep that fixed it. By default the recording quality was set at "QHD (960 x 540)". When I changed it to HD (1280 x 720) it didn't crash. Thanks! I love this rom I think I'll be keeping it for awhile. The speed mods from the install and the turbo boost mod definitely mad a huge difference.

I noticed my copy of this rom was 309mb and the copy through devhost was 290... was there an update I missed? I'm downloading now just in case (also md5 doesn't match... )

yeah before i moved it to devhost i trimmed rom size by deleting two of the stock skins. i figured the virtuous team skins on google play are far better anyway and all the stock ones do is take up space. also may have updated supersu..cant recall on that one though.

might be possible. i did convert both this and slim bean to u.s. cellular but it appears that one v variant has very few users. let me look around for the stock rom for your carrier.

You can recieve MMS perfectly fully sized. You might have to change the multimedia settings in the messaging app tho.

The trackpad led is not working, which is expected cuz these 2 phones have different hardware.
And those T-mo things aren't that bad! I actually like the "faves" feature, looks very cool.

I got a few errors recompiling it, but I think they were all cosmetic. Push this and let me know if it works, you may have to wipe cache.

Ok guys I have been working on this all night and I finally got it going CORRECTLY. I tried to keep it as stock as possible so some of the bloatware is included some not. I will be uploading 2 versions in about an hour one with and one without. The homescreen does not rotate to landscape, but landscape works well now throughout the UI. I was able to fix the backlight issues on the keyboard and the touch buttons and now you no longer have to flash a different kernel, I finally learned how to use dsixda's kitchen and cooked it in. I still need to modify the build prop and the updater.script a little but it is working fine for now.
Has really nobody downloaded this? I thought it would be more popular.

Donate by clicking donate under his name in his posts.
I'd say don't use CPU apps. He has some tweaks in there and never mentioned anything about outside apps.

goo rom manager question
I do not want to loose the abilty to save recoveries to my extSdCard. So I am afraid to switch from CWM version that i am using.
The question is, can we use the Goo Manager to download the zip then use the CWM to flash it ?
I am just not sure if it packed and repack the same way.
Youtube isn't working when I'm on the go, using my 3g. But it works fine when I connect to Wifi. Maybe I did something wrong or maybe it just my phone?

I noticed on the messaging app that the vibration when silent option was absent with .7. I don't need my phone vibrating when I get texts with sound on so I was wondering if there was a way to get that back. Thanks.

I prefer the old options too. When I unchecked vibrate and sound in settings > sound I still get vibration when texts come in
No S-Voice options please
The installer is very cool. This is now my goto build for installing modems, I can install them at install then update PRL with one build.
I can't live with S-voice though, it just can't call the people I want and... don't get me started on it.
I hoped choosing not to install the removed Samsung apps would include S-voice but I still get it when I make a BT voice dial.
Is there any way to have the option to not have S-voice and use Google voice instead?

2. (For Clark) On version .8, is there any way to build in some of the color/theme options from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28676439 ? I'm not a big fan of green, so I would love to change the colors of the battery and the 15 toggles...

Well, I think it depends on how you use your phone. For me at least, JuiceDefender has helped out TREMENDOUSLY. I live in an area with bad reception and I'm constantly going in and out of roaming. Having all my data turned off while I'm not using the phone really helps boost my battery life (and not having to do so manually is worth the $5 in my opinion).
Without JD I'm at about 10-15% when I get home from work (10 hr work days). With JD I'm at about 30% when I get home.
I guess everyone's mileage may vary, but if you've already bought JD you might as well try and see if it helps your battery life.
side note: I also love the night tint in JD
I've actually got a couple of questions with this ROM.
First, though, I have to say this is a phenomenal ROM. I initially flashed it solely as a stop-gap while waiting for CM10 to come out for my Sprint GSIII, but it quickly has become my daily driver.
So with the installer on the 0.0.7 version, there are multiple radios. Is there any advantage in flashing one of those, or just leaving it be? Also I really like the CRT animations and beats audio, but it wasn't there in the 0.0.7 version, so I just went with 0.0.6. Is there a way to get it on the 0.0.7 version or have those features been disabled? As for themeing. Let me explain how im going to have this system setup at latest by v0.0.9.
I've done some research and finally found an app that will do the following:
1. Notify when update is available
2. Allow user to download themes, bootanimations, apps, flashables, all within the app and all supplied by me.
3. Allow the user to read the changelog of upcoming buids on the go.

Now i already started migrating the boot animation option i already finished in Aroma installer into this app and that should be done very soon. Themers will also be able to send me whatever they make and i can make it an option in the app!

2. ROM size doesn't go up to 2GB when i add in all the themes ect. (Size will always be around 860)

No on CRT, see back a page or two with a draft of the mods in next release.
The radio's are the different modems you can choose, there have been three releases (updates) and the original that came with the phone. That is what the radios are.

Are there any advantages/disadvantages in flashing a different modem to the phone? It seems to be a consensus that LF9 gives better signal, but I'm afraid for the drawbacks.

Potluck JB is a CM10 build for the T-Mobile and Telus variants of the Hercules. Finally - kernel independence is buttery smooth and rock solid.
ALL thanks go to the CM team, TeamChopsticks, theDerekJay, and everyone cooperatively involved in the open-source movement. Potluck is just a stock build of the CM10 repo at this point, with a few cherry picks and other things added to achieve a nearly complete Jellybean ROM for the Hercules, hence the name.
Standard warning and disclaimer:
I take no responsibility if you use this ROM. It is experimental and appears to be solid, but use it at your own risk. Also be aware that this is a little side project I got into while I had some time off, and while I like the idea of compiling my own ROMware, I may not always have time to stay on top of it and/or continue to work on it. This is something to hold you over if you are drooling for a Jellybean release at this point. I will do my best to address bugs that are reported, or at least look into them, but this ROM is supplied without support.

NOTE: I get the impression that GoogleNow drains the battery a bit too much for my liking, so I've stopped using it. Someone else will need to test and comment on this, please.
Minor UI glitches, but nothing serious (IE: on USB Mass Storage on/off screen title)
Camera works for the first little while after a reboot if you do not use the Venom kernel, but is not reliable and can (and will) crap out at any time after that.
HIGHLY recommend running the ROM with the Venom kernel even though you don't absolutely have to. >> Fixed
Video recording does not work >> Fixed
Green overlay flash in camera, but it does not seem to affect anything >> Fixed
Hotspot only works in unsecured mode (eech...) >> Fixed
If you do have a bug to report, please give a little context info along with the bug. It's very difficult to understand out what "widget doesn't work" means on it's own.

Thanks. Working just as advertised here. bdusmc, there's supposedly a new (old) camera app I think in that rookie thread that fixed the 'green screen'. I haven't tried it though.
Edit... here's the app. Looks like ICS camera. No green screen but still no camcorder. Still... good progress.

Hey, I was able to just install it like any other app - not sure if we are talking about the same app or not...
Also, you mentioned in the Rookie thread that there are only a couple of pic sizes in the stock app? I have 5 or 6 in mine, everything from VGA to 8MP... Can you double check yours?
Okay, to fix the UI Glitchy Animations, you need to change these files, in framework.jar, which you will have to baksmali, then re-smali. You can try with:
A) ICS Version' Certain Files.
B) From Another Phone With Exact CPU/GPU.

I could not get the camera to work in the alpha. Did installation per all instructions; added Darkside 666 kernel.
Also having issues with installing Swype Beta. AP mobile does not work.

If you point out where the glitches are, I can fix the source images and recompile to save people the trouble of decompiling, recompiling, etc... there's a few things I want to add into the new build anyways, so let me know.
No the hardware is not properly set up in there. So the UI glitches the animations.

Oh, I see... I thought you were talking about stuff like this (the red jellybean/title) which I am having a hard time tracking down the source of... grrr. I'm starting to wonder if it is a generated vector graphic or something - has anyone got any clue of where this is so it can be fixed? I looked in the SystemUI images but still haven't found it.

Have you tried log catting, maybe it tells you what app it is.
Seems video is still a little weird....green lines/tint.....not talking about the cam....talking about video playback

Yeah, I just tried playing some YouTube and recorded videos and they don't perform very well... Probably a buffer issue methinks. Didn't see any greenscreen issues though on my end... strange. Rotation was good and didn't crash anything though, which is cool.
Yea....its weird....of will turn green with stripes....then if I touch the screen it will go away....then a second or two later it comes back

Global density :
Is the one used by your hardware configuration and all non PAD touched applications. It's the old one that you can change with build.prop, and this one can get you outside of tablet mode - Phone mode. Don't touch it if you dont know what you're doing. This one has nothing to do with PAD or PAL, as it's the one designed by google.
Default SystemUI DPI :
User interface density, can be reflected on statusbar, Recent apps, etc. This one can't get you outside of your current mode.
Default User DPI :
Is the one used when your app is not on pad.prop list, so when you run a new app that it's installed by you, and not on /system/app, it will run at this density. This one cant get you outside your current mode neither.
Some Other Facts :
You can't change framework dialogs (like when you hold power button) density on tab mode yet, don't waste your time (it's limited from 120 to 128 global density so it's not a huge difference)
Keyboard must be on the same global density, for tablet mode (i have not tried phone mode)
Disable Settings>System>Statusbar>Auto Hide statusbar
If you see the dock on launchers in tablet mode, and not the old layout, this is NORMAL, it was ugly before, and now it's preset to phone mode at 240 density. If you want to get the old ugly tablet mode for launchers, go to settings > paranoid > hybrid settings > list apps, select your launcher, put density to 120-140 and put in on tablet mode
I'm not the responsible that some apps, being on phone mode, and setted up to tablet mode looks ugly. Google is. Go blame google!
The message that appears every time that you change DPI or layout mode for any app IS NORMAL, we put in there so changes can be applied, APP IS NOT FORCE CLOSING, we're asking you to force close, please read at least!

Sense if proprietary of HTC and its source code will prabably won't be released. He is talking about sense 5 port which mdeejay has ported to droid DNA from a leaked RUU of HTC One.
Sense jelly bean rom hasn't yet arrived for WVGA devices and is work in progress.

Call me a idiot my bad flashed wrong gapps. Everything works now as far as i can tell. Will test for awhile and see how well it is.
Loved Paranoid on my VZW Galaxy Nexus. (VZW too expensive went back to tmobile(well walmart family plan)). Anyways nice work!

Did you use the newer JB apps ? (12-12-2012) cause they dont work on older (4.1) roms very well

Worked fine for me too, though the keyboard thing is a bugger : there seems to be no previsions under the input panel for hardware key settings (which makes sense since its a port from a phone without a keyboard)

When I ported ICS ParanoidAndroid, this bug (yes exactly this) was fixed by changing framework-res/res/values/bools.xml:

<bool name="config_forceDisableHardwareKeyboard">true</bool>
This bool needs to be set to false.
Check this if you haven't did it yet.

Unfortunately although we're aware of the problem, the problem is the solution: So far, from what srapped365 has told me, setting this to true is the only way we know of (so far) to get the soft keyboard working. There's definitely some stuff in android.policy.jar that we haven't discovered yet (of course in ICS you already had fixes for keyboard problems in android.policy.jar as well).
I will try completely finish the first post by tonight.

As you can see I am on a mt4gs, and I got a PACman ROM and and there also pops up the s/w keyboard even when h/w is open^^

First Install Base
after install base reboot System after boot till CM welcome screen reboot back to recovery
them Flash APPS and Gapps if you need google Service
after flash those or just Apps reboot system
if you are Using Apps2 ONLY
after setup process is finished go to setting>Theme> and select Sony Xperia Z2 theme also enable Screen Nav Bottom for an amazing experience

I don't know if it has to do with the 4.4.4 update but when I flash the apps and Gapps zips over the newest CM11 nightly, I can't find the theme to select. The apps you included from sony and the launcher are pretty cool. Thanks!
Hey @Demo3827 there seems to be an issue with the camera for me. Well, camera/calls.
I tried to call my wife and it didn't connect, just sat there, I ended the call and went to the camera, and after telling it I don't want my phone to remember location, the camera froze and I had a kernel/demigod crash.
I haven't tried it since but I thought I might let you know. Might have something to do with the new nightly as well but since I flashed your apps package and it changed the UI and frame, it might have something to do with it.
Keep in mind it could be CM issue but still notable.

do a clean install... i too had problem with camera.. and also deepsleep problem.... after a clean install everything working fine.. ....... :good:
looks like the u can install the app folder on any cm based rom but not the latest cm based...... flashed the app folder on ehndroix v rom.. every thing worksing fine... :good:

It was a clean install. I don't go dirty on new ROMs. only updates occasionally.
So you think it can be installed on any CM based but newest? And thoughts as to why?
And what phone model are you using? I couldn't get ehndroix to work on the ls970 (sprint)

I haven't tested in the nigthly build my base is on the last Stable M7 because the nightly arent stable and most the time CM is testing new stuff and make broke or not work right.
I love to help you but if you arent using my base /stock kernel and gapps is nothing really that i can do for found the problem. Try use my base, apps, gapps and the kernel in the base and let me know if the probem still.... Thanks

The problem is that I can't use your base. And neither can anyone else that only has 3g. It's an issue cm was having that got fixed in one of the nightlies. So I used one that I could.

My base work on 3g without issues ill add some screenshot later what version of CM you was using with that problem? My base is the last Milestone

I flashed what you linked the first time and kept getting FC's for phone and it would only stop if data was off. I do believe if you have 4G but set to 3G it still works. The only issue is when the user only has access to 3G. At least that is in my experience and what I have read from others.
The one I last used was 7/01 build official CM for ls970.

I see yours works but that doesn't really help me. I tried what you linked and it still had FC's. I can take screenshots of everything and post if you like.
On newer nightlies however, most things work. No FC's on anything, contacts work fine, data works fine. Even phone call logs are working when you click one, it doesn't FC. Keyboard word correction also works.

i just make a new Update to M8 try this one it maybe work on your =] you can try just flash the APPS but this new base is from M8 which should include the new fix for 3G =]

New one seems to be working like a champ, thanks for updating it. Few questions,
1) did you delete the sock launcher from CM11? When it booted and passed the setup it just sat black. I could use the settings and junk but no home.
2) any idea why I keep getting FC's for walkman? It has happened about 5 times in the past few hours.
3) is there a way to use quick pull down with your mods? I like being able to swpe down on the right to use the quick tiles (settings).
4) settings button on home screen does nothing but vibrate, can it be set to something? Like launcher settings or system settings?
I always have trouble keeping 3G and I have to keep switching airplane mode on/off or make a call and hang up in order to get it back. I think it's a custom rom issue with 3G but I just wanted to let you know.
I love the look and boot animation, seriously awesome. Thank you again!

your welcome and yes i delete the cm home for easy access after flash apps about walkman thats weird fc ill make a fix update for you
also about the quick pull down so far is not working but you can swap your finger on the top and ill switch between notifications and quick tiles
about settings in the launcher i dont remember if I add any options after touch and hold should be only Widget, apps,wallpapers,theme if i remember i sold my phone today and this will be the last update so far I hope everyone enjoy it as much i did
