Use cm9 or cm7.. almost everything works.. and on screen buttons are are working on cm9
Sent from my Xperia Pro using XDA
There are a few zips in themes and apps for on screen buttons, but they affect the Xperia home. If you're on a modded stock rom then you flash the appropriate zip(I run Xperia tweaked so it's the 4.0.4 zip)and use a 3rd party home such as apex, adw ex, etc.

[Q] ARC S with JB - proximity sensor issues (CM10 / AOKP / SlimBean / ETC)

Hello,
I have ARC S that runs very well with all Stock based kernels (Ultimate HD, JJ Hybrid, OptiMAX, and others)
I wish to upgrade to the JB, however on all kernels and roms (FXP, AOKP, Lupus) I have the following problem:
when I answer or make call -> the screen becomes black and no key is responding.
when the call ends -> the screen return to normal condition.
seems that the proximity sensor is making this problem (maybe the calibration is wrong with the JB kernels / roms)
how can I solve this case ?
BR,
From what I know, it is normal that screen turns off during call, if you put phone next to ear. Or did I misunderstand anything?
I'm referring to a problem I have:
In all versions of JellyBean when I answer a call the screen becomes black and nothing functions as if the phone thinks its close to the ear (as if the proximity is stuck on 0 distance).
I do not have this problem on ICS versions.
* all versions of JellyBean = cm10, aokp, aosp, slimbean,
I've tried multiple kernels for JB and with all I experience the same.
Anyone knows the reason why proximity sensor is not working properly on cm10 ?
Then it is because Sony hasn't made the libs open-source, so they could be made to work on JB. Due to incompability issues, these bugs occur. Nothing that developers could do at the moment.
Apparently I'm not the only one suffering from this proximity sensor issue.
the effect is huge:
when answering a call the screen does not response any more and I cannot disconnect calls.
I found:

Since it happens with all JB ROMs, could it be a kernel issue?
Anyway thanks

[Q] Stable, secure and slim???

Hi guys ive been messing around alot with my phone and it all started because i wanted to use a pdroid function on my wildfire s.
What i am looking for ideally is a slim rom that supports an int2ext script and can take an autopatch of either PDroid 2.0 or OpenPDroid.
So far i have tried at least 20 roms and all have thrown up some sort of problem!
started with PA 2.99 updated . . . call wake up issues and screen wake up issues in general.
Tried slim CM's . . . nice size, good battery but only 9 and 10 can autopatch and 9 wont recieve calls and 10 has wake up issues.
Tried Speeddroid . . . destroys batteries (well uses them very fast)
Have tried Crossfire, Jellyking, Jellyfish, PA 3.65, CM's, PACman . . . . . .
All have one issue. I dont want alot from my ROM just cant seem to find what im looking for?
Oh and just in case anyone asks i have been an avid reader of forums and tried many fixes but nothings quite worked out hence my post.
Can anyone help me please?
PS am currently using Spock v.2. (4.2.2) Great slimmed ROM, takes int2ext, but getting smali error when trying to autopatch openpdroid (Pdroid 2.0 doesnt support 4.2.2)

We don't allow best ROM questions. Usually, we recommend trying out all the ROMs and picking the best amongst those. Since you've already done that, I would say that you will have to live with whatever flaws that you're willing to live with. Thread closed.

[Q] CM9 WiFi/GPU problem

Hi
I'm using AOKP Milestone[Stable] it's an awesome rom but after I play a game or watch a video (when the GPU is triggered i suppose) the rom goes crazy some parts of the system and apps become transparent respond to my touches but not displayed so i thought it's a kernel related problem so i flashed LuPuS kernel my favourite kernel but WiFi won't work even after flashing multiple modules
If anyone has a soloution for any of the two problems please provide it
Thanx

hey bro, may i advice you to change to LX CM11. CM9 is stone age & CM11 runs far more better. battery is like on stock or even better. its also fully stable. you will love it
thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2545354
Thnx for the advice
But the reason why im still using ICS/CM9 ROMS is that the sound of 4.1+ roms is not as good and loud as ICS ROMS if there is a solution for that problem it would be awesome
I tried AC!D MOD PimpUpMyRom Tweaks but i didn't feel a change (Maybe i didn't use them right)
