I so around here alots of e9xx
Mine is e975 black
Sent from my LG-E975 using Tapatalk 2

We have E970 - AT&T - It has it's own section http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1921 - 16gb storage+microsd slot.
LS970 -Sprint - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1928 -32gb storage - no microsd slot
E971 - Canada - Rogers Network - 8mpx camera - 32gb storage
E973 - Canada - Bell Network - 13mpx camera - 32gb storage
E975 - International Version -13mpx camera - 32gb storage- Used in Europe and India - don't know about other countries
E975k - I saw it in some countries in Europe - same specs as E975
E975R - Same as K.same specs as E975
E976 - Reported to be used in Mexic - 13mpx camera-32gb storage
E977 - Reported to be used in Brasil-13mpx camera-32gb storage
E987 - Reported to be used in Argentina-13mpx camera-32gb storage
F180K - Korea
F180L - Korea
LG L-01E - For NTT DoComo Japan - 13mpx camera,16gb storage+microsd slot
All roms in Developement and Original Developement area(except those for E971/E973) should work without a problem for these models
E975(k,R),E976,E977,E987.
The only difference is made by the LTE modem.Look at your operator specs to see what band are they using.
It's been reported to work onF180K,L, but with problems, mainly no 3g/wi-fi connection, due to baseband incompatibilities.Solved by flashing again the radio/modem. I think i'll make a thread in the General section.

The differences between the Models would hopeful (CAM, SD Slot,...)
Can someone make a list as example:
Exxx | 08mpx | SD Slot | ... | [same with Exxx] or [Exxx ROM Compartible]
Exxx | 13mpx | no Slot | ... |
??
and add this on a sticky thread/FAQ or somewhere else

[Q] Modify F240L to be E98X

I got a U+ Korean G Pro (F240L) I like it too much in fact, but because of unwanted Korean apps and Korean dial pad, now I want to change the firmware to be that one used in Middle East & Europe... but actually I have some problems;
1- Baseband fixing.
2- Internal Memory (in Korean Firmware it's 32 GB, but after I changed it's 16 GB)
3- Auto Updates will not be received anymore.
4- Every time I dial any number, it asks wither I want to [Call to Korea] or [Call to Local]
my question is... is there any way to keep the Korean firmware as it is (F240L10v) but solve the above 4 problems?
Thanks in advance to all of you.

[Q] Dual SIM version questions (D857 or 858)

Greetings of the New Year to all
I am looking to get a dual sim phone.
preferably with 4G capability as well
I see there are two such models for the LG G3/
so far a bit confused about what i have been reading here so i will pose all my questions
thanks in advance for info
1 - what are the differences in specs of the 857 and 858? (difference processor? different bands?)
2- what countries are these models "officially" designated for
3 - do either or both come with multilanguage LG ROM
if not can more locale open the hidden languages or must a custom ROM be used?
4 - can these models be rooted easily? seems maybe not from what i have read so far.
5 - can the D855 (single SIM G3) rom be crossed onto these phones?
6- do they get FOTA
thanks again

Maybe a bit late
1. 858 = Hong Kong version, 857 = China (no PLAY STORE)
2. same, notice, I just found out, 858 and 857 dual sim version lack Qi wireless charging, no SlimPort support, and the official quick windows case is different.
3. mine 858 got all lang.
4. Haven't yet ROOT, but should be easy, though maybe no custom ROM and kernel etc.
5. Probably not,
6. OTA probably slower than other versions

Which the best MODEM base for custom ROMs?

Which is the best MODEM base, which is stable, and battery friendly?
Which modem version is suggested for custom ROMs?

It's difficult to answer this question without knowing your exact Phone model ....
For my part , I can only speak for myself ....
Galaxy S4 Mini Duos ( 9192 )
Baseband : I9192UBUCOI2
Cyanogen 12.1
Works like a charm , no issues whatsoever and good battery life ( Better then stock 4.2.2 )
Cheers,
Claude
Usually "best" modem is the one that is used in a country closer to u
So if your phone is 9192 then look at this :
- DDU*** - India / Nepal / Sri Lanka / Bangladesh
- UBU*** - Brazil / Trinidad and Tobago / Chile / Panama
- XXU*** - Kazakhstan / Ukraine / Uzbekistan / Saudi Arabia / Russia / Pakistan / Egypt /
South Africa / Kenya / Algeria / Tunisia / Iraq, etc - Can be used for rest of Europe
I am using the OCT modem... i guess that it is not good... i am having issues using internet with opera mini without "cheap or saver" mode...

is OCT the region? (letters that come straight after model number) I don't recognise it, maybe a European one?
I think Opera will still send data to their servers even when you are not in data saving mode, so probably not the best way to judge modem performance. Other apps should also be affected. Try run a speed test/network app.
Not all modems work well with all ROMs even if region is correct, update modem or try slightly older one if already on newest,

India version -> International. Possible?

I bought an unlocked handset, currently running 10.3.0.HD65AA (OTA version Oneplus7TOxygen_14.I.09_GLO_009_1912060105).
I understand the "I" in the OTA version stands for India.
Would it be possible to simply install 10.0.8 (full, I'm assuming, not the incremental version) from a local download?
Many thanks in advance!
yes, for a while, usa tmobile variant users were flashing india before international.
Isn't India global version?
AA = India / international / global
bA = European
???

My understanding is that the "I" in the OTA version denotes the Indian version.

N78 5g band

Would it be possible to enable/add n78 (3500) radio support on this device? I have an unlocked SKT variant (LM-F100N). GSMarena however doesn't show n78 on the supported 5g bands, but other sites show it has n78 support.
I'm currently here in the Philippines and it's the only 5g band that all telcos are using afaik.
What app do you use to show what bands are active?
I just look it up on Wikipedia on what are the bands that the local telcos are using. I used GSMArena to check what are the supported bands for LG Wing. It seems like no matter whether SK or international, they all have the same bands
having same issue..Im from the philippines too and my LG wing already have n78 band enabled but still no 5g
There could have Carrier Policy to list networks have allowed use 5G with this device. That is common in most of 5G device have allow list.

If you have rooted you can may edit carrier policy depends how it's made to device and use *#*#4636#*#* menu to enable 5G NR.
Also would be intresting see logs from this device. There is way to get without root https://cacombos.com/contribute -> LG . The Log should have information about supported 4G and 5G combinations of devices and can there confirm if 5G enabled or not.

What you can find under of Debug Screen?
dear XDA " poster " , please find below a link to a page with hypertext and to an application where to browse that sheet for LMF100N [ LG WING variant for KR market ] also supporting " sub6Ghz " radio frequency bands thus compatible with wireless cell networks of a latest generation [ " 5G NR " technology with band n78 too. ]
https://www.piucellulare.it/scheda-tecnica/lg/wing/5g-f100n/ [ google translate might help that website homepage also shows a Eng. version switch at the bottom of the page , footer ]
in connection with LG velvet and wing, our experience instead supports ideas " LGE " develops and deploys firmware, also allowing carriers | operators to select a variant depends on a carrier's brand however in " EU ", some LGE official websites report unlocked " LG variant devices " [ LG devices with no carrier brand ] are compatible with " 5G " wireless cell networks of few carriers only - for instance: LG velvet model we owned had no carrier brand and firmware variant turned the smartphone into a device compatible with " 5G NR " network of select operator of Netherlands only and " KPN " in particular [ the firmware is then enabling few " 5g bands " only and depending on the target market ]
on your " LG WING on SKT network " you may still want to replace firmware and remove carrier brand, you'll be selecting a variant that " unlocks more 5G bands " therefore making your smartphone compatible with a network operator | carrier in your country however firmware variant and version must also eventually match that model marketed in South Korea [ LM-F100N ], in addition you don't want to flash | load firmware that was instead developed and deployed for australia; global or US models of the same device [ Lg WING ]
NOTE:
we include two more links to " pages with hypertext " and websites also listing firmware variants and versions for LG Wing [ LM-F100N marketed in South Korea ] however please also note the size of those files [ .KDZ files ] and the two separate websites are stating very much different file property for those same images for firmware.
