[Q] /sdcard link to /storage/sdcard0 - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Note II (n7105t) was turned off while i trying to flash a custom rom. After i tried to flash stock rom through Odin, everything works except i can't access (read, write) the internal memory, EFS data is loss. I found down that /sdcard is linked to /storage/sdcard0. If i'm not mistaken, it should point to /data/media. I think that why the i can't read or write to internal memory, and the phone can't see the total memory of the internal memory. When i try to flash Wanam Rom, the efs unexpectedly works again (i can access mobile network and see imei), but still no luck with internal memory. The only way i can write to internal memory is use Root Explorer to mount it as Read&Write. However, other apps (Camera, music) still note able to open (It said not enough memory), due to not able to write and determine the total size i believe. Every data i tried to write to internal memory (it point to /storage/sdcard0) are loss after reboot the phone. So my question is: Is there anyway to point /sdcard to /data/media again.

[Motorola] mmcblk1 partitions

Hi all! I need help.
As we know, Motorola Droid X has 8Gb of internal memory, but unfortunately, it can be used only for installing apps.
So, the biggest partition of int memory, as you can see on the screenshot, is a data.
Yes, you can say that we can mount a folder in data partition to a folder onto sdcard, and at this moment I use this method.
But, unfortunately, there are many pitfalls and it's starting to annoy me. So, I decided somehow to cut the data onto two partitions (2Gb data and the memory remaining to new partition). And then, using hijack init, mount that partition as internal sdcard, and the real sdcard as external.
What are your suggestions?
Code:
mmcparts=mmcblk1:
p1(mbmloader),
p2(mbm),
p3(mbmbackup),
p4(ebr),
p5(bploader),
p6(cdt.bin),
p7(pds),
p8(lbl),
p9(lbl_backup),
p10(logo.bin),
p11(sp),
p12(devtree),
p13(devtree_backup),
p14(bpsw),
p15(boot),
p16(recovery),
p17(cdrom),
p18(misc),
p19(cid),
p20(kpanic),
p21(system),
p22(cache),
p23(preinstall),
p24(userdata)
Any ideas?

[Q] Repartition emmc without root

Hi All,
My unrooted ATT E980 has corrupted partition table. Reported from Partition Table It has
/system ~ 2040.8/2523.9MB
/data ~ 901.8/23857.3MB
/persist ~ 4.8/7.9MB
/cache ~ 18.7/1009.3MB
/firmware ~54.9/64.0MB
It seems missing /sdcard partition. Despite that I can still install new apps, I can't even take a picture or download a file since the internal space appears full to all apps. At this stage, I can't even root it since the rooter can't write onto the internal memory space. And Android Partition Manager Pro, who requires the phone to be rooted at first, won't help either.
Does any one know how to repartition without root? Thanks a lot.

[Q][SOLVED] How to make internal storage not mounted as sdcard

Hi, i am user of this phone for few weeks now, and one thing that annoy me to insanity is that internal storage is mounted as sdcard.
Is there a way to mount real sdcard as sdcard, not as external sdcard? So data partition remain as regural android data partition?
I have 32GB sdcard but internal storage is get filled with just few installed games (witch have it's large obb game files), and when i was buying this phone, size of internal storage was first thing i looked (on my previous phone, small data partition was also so frustrating to me, even with large sdcard)
I updated to .101 firmware (4.3) first day when i bought phone (it came with JB4.1.2), so i don't know is it same on previous firmwares.
My model is c6502, bootloader locked and not rooted. If it fix this problem, i will not mind to unlock bootloader and/or root (i didn't do it so far only because it's time consuming, and by the time i learned how to do it, i had so much stuff installed that i will need even more time to do backup/downgrade/root/upgrade/restore).
I would like to know if other roms (stock or cm-based) also mount internal storage as sdcard? I prefer stock-based, so maybe it can be done only with custom kernel?
Sent from my C6502 using XDA Free mobile app
It took me some time, but i'm marking this as [SOLVED], even i still didn't find complete colution
I manage to mount sd card as internal storage (formated in ext4), but i still didn't find a way to mount data partition as sdcard1
Thanks @Gustavo RD78 for he's Advanced stock kernel for KitKat 10.5.A.0.230 beacuse i couldn't make it myself (and i needed only to edit ramdisk from .img file)

[Q] Galaxy Grand GT-I9082 nandroid backup question using Philz Touch recovery

Phone: Galaxy Grand GT-I9082, stock ROM Jellybean 4.2.2, rooted.
OK. I've searched enough and have a question I couldn't find an answer to.
I know how to, and have sucessfully performed a nandriod backup on this phone, but the location it is deposited is not where I want it. The file is located on my internal sd card, but there isn't much room there.
Using Rom Manager 5.5.3.7, the "Backup current ROM" location is set to "storage/extsdcard/clockworkmod/backup". This is where I want it to go, but it doesn't.
Selecting this re-boots into recovery - Philz Touch 6.58.7 and ClockworkMod v6.0.5.1, which mounts "/storage/sdcard1". This I know is my internal sd card location because of the size noted, but this is not where I want the backup. I want it to go to the location Rom Manager is directing it to go.
Question is how do I set the navigation to this location for the back up in Philz Recovery?
Thanks from the NOOB for any insight.

Did I hear noob?
Have no fear, noob is here!
Sdcard1 is external.
Sdcard0 is internal.
Maybe u have 8gb sdcard?
Also, out of 8gb internal, 4gb is gobbled up by system, rest only 4gb is usable and shows up. So you were seeing external SD, not internal.

Thanks for the info Noobin.
Actually I had just installed a new 64GB SanDisk class 10. When either selecting sdcard0 or sdcard1, they were showing the same space available.
I'll try it again selecting sdcard1 and see what happens. What I had to do last time was copy the file over to ext sdcard using file explorer, then deleting it from internal memory, it was almost completely filled up.
At least you cleared up which sdcard was which, thanks for that.
OK this is what I got.
In Philz under backup and restore: I can select two option:
/sdcard - selecting this shows 3135mb free, 2093mb needed. This is located in internal memory.
/storage/sdcard1 - selecting this shows 401mb free, 2093mb needed. This also is internal.
File explorer only shows these available:
/storage/extsdcard. This is located at the external 64gb memory.
/storage/sdcard0 - this is located in internal memory.
In Philz under advanced menu - sdcard target: there are only two option that toggle:
/data/media/0. This is internal memory
/data/media. This is internal memory also.
File explorer shows both to be located in internal memory.
How can I configure Philz to navigate to /storage/extsdcard under backup and restore selection.
Should I just install another recovery over Philz? I have this at the ready - 4.2-THL-CWM-Touch-6.0.3.6-Baffin-Odin (tar file) using Odin.
Thanks,

Phone not reading internal storage

I performed a wipe via recovery today, and now my phone won't read the data within Internal Storage. The wipe DID NOT delete pictures and other media files, and the "storage" page in Settings still reports that 21.81 GB of space are occupied. However, I can't access my media files. If I navigate to the "emulated" folder using a file manager, it just says it's empty. Apps can't properly utilize my internal storage.
I know that the files and whatnot are still there for several reasons. One, like I said, my phone still reports over 21 GB being used. Two, if I go into my recovery as if I was to flash a .zip, I can explore my internal storage and all the files are still there. My ROM just cannot read them. I'm on stock rooted and debloated 5.0.2. Please help!
