PlayStore - doesnt work - 8.9" Kindle Fire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey there,
i am really having problems installing the Google Play Store.
I first of all tried installing it via KindleFree App, but it directly closes after 1sec.
I even tried the manual adding via Vending and playstore apk, same result
i read, that some users tried it several times and just by accident it worked somehow, so i tried it like 20 times, but still doesnt work.
it closes all the time directly.
One thing to mention is, that when i install Play Store after a reboot it renames itself to "Market".
Any ideas what to do?
Running StariRom 8.3.0
edit: i even got notification that updates for my apps are available, so in the background it somehow seemed to work, but just cant open it

[Q] Market apps not installing

I just tried installing a new ROM and it came up fine. Then when I tried to install any app from the market, it would say download unsuccessful right away. However, if I go to the Android Market website and install an app from there, it downloads and installs on my phone no problem.
I've tried different ROMs, they have the same problem. I've tried different Google accounts, those work perfectly fine.
Any ideas?
Go to manage applications, select market, and clear data. Maybe try a different market, have you tried the new one?
Cleared data, no difference. Installed the new market, no difference. Still says this item could not be downloaded right after I try to download it, but it does it with everything on the market.
After Googling it real quick I found a couple things. Did you try clearing market cache? Force stop market and retry? Do you have Google talk and if so, have you tried signing in to it?

[Q] Issues with Google Play Store v3.9.16

I tried installing this Google Play Store v3.9.16 from androidpolice.com. The article says to download and install just like any other apk. After installing, it just quickly opens and closes. Should I have installed it another way? It installs and works fine on my LG G2x.
The same happened with me. I downloaded the apk from http://tutznet.com/google-play-store-updated-v3916-remove-app-logs-expandable-notifications.html and transferred the apk to my phone. When I clicked on the install button, the installer kept on going. Even after 15 minutes it was still installing. I restarted the phone even with the installer running and the update was installed. I think that the apk file is not compiled properly. You should wait for the play store to update itself. I just got the automatic update 2-3 hours after doing this.:good:

[Q] can't install amazon app store

I went through the process of getting the amazon app store, which I have done with other phones, and it went through the whole download, but would not install because I had forgotten to allow non-Play store apps in settings. I corrected that and tried again, but now it will only begin the download and then fail. I have looked for running apps that I might clear, have restarted the phone and nothing works. Still can't install the AA Store. Any ideas?
Never mind. Figured it out. For some reason it would not allow any subsequent download attempts, but I was able to find the original download through Astro and install it from there. Odd but true.

I deleted my Play Store...and more.

So, I'm quite new at all of this, and I understand now why you shouldn't mess with stuff you don't know about.
Now that that's out of the way, I'll explain my issue. I rooted my tab 3 with kingoroot, which worked perfect, but then I decided to go and use Lucky Patcher, which is when things went bad. I attempted to get the Modded Google Play store, which downloaded, however when it was finished installing, it gave me a message I didn't see, and tapped away from accidentally.(I think it was asking me to reset my device). I then left Lucky Patcher, and realized that Google Play was gone, no mod, or original, and so I reset my device thinking that's what the message may have said to do. Of course, I get back and it's still missing. It's totally gone. Not in applications manager, couldnt find it in my file explorer. I factory reset as well and nothing was solved. I now get messages saying that an application needs me to update Google Play Services..."Which your device does not support.....". So finally I tried 2 things: 1, I downloaded a Google Play store APK, which would open, then promptly close right after, and then announcing that it had failed/closed. I also tried to side-load google play services, which also didn't solve my problem.
Im still rooted with superuser
Now, I've looked everywhere on how to reset my actual android version(without a computer), and all I could find was using ADB to downgrade, then upgrade, which I'd like to avoid using ADB, since that just opens up more possibilities for me to destroy my tablet.
Please help me
good news! you do NOT need google bloat-adware to install apps from the play store.
interweb search: apk mirror
compare hash of apk to developer.
joy
use lucky patcher to render apps offered as free with ads actually free by removing ads

Some apps not updating or installing on Google Play (EMUI 11.0.0.140 - EVR-L29)

Hi,
Anyone getting an error on Google Play Store installing apps or app updates? Some weeks ago one of my installed apps had an update and when installing it gave an error -- no error code as far as I could see. The update continued to be listed every time I went to the Store and stayed there. Finally I decide to uninstall / install the app hoping it would fix the issue. But no, then I couldn't install the app all together, producing the same error. I've contact the developers and after some weeks they replied saying it was an issue on Google's Store. I've reach Google which after investigating, are not aware of any similar problem. I've also done all the procedures recommended in such situation like cleaning cache, data, ... from Google Store; removing and adding back Google ids on the devices, nothing. Unable to solve this I finally gave up some days back.
Yesterday, the problem started with another app update. I see the update, click install, it downloads, starts installing, gives an error and goes back to be listed in the available updates...
Any help welcome.
Thanks.
Same thing happened to me, the reason is Google Play, I uninstalled Google play since my Chinese version didnt come with one, I then had to use a third party installer and installed the newest Google play and everything went back to normal and was able to install all the apps I havent been able to in the last 2 months but didnt care enough to figure it out until last week when I got fed up.
Hi,
Thanks for the inputs.
I've the EVR-L29 running Google services so I can only remove the updates from the Store, data and cache; which I did but didn't solve the problem. I also removed Google user, reboot, and added it back. Issue still persists...
I've contact Google and seems they are not aware of any similar problem. At least that was the feedback I received.
I do see a couple of comments of other users of the app I can't install with the same problem; someone with a Xiaomi and another user with a Huawei phone.
Any ideas? Thanks.
The only thing I can go by is what occurred to me I couldn't install chipotle app or anything, it took uninstalling it, I do know there is a command to uninstall apps and there was an app as well, been awhile but if memory serves me right, the app you used to find the location was App inspector then you had to uninstall it through and adb command line. I would check to see what version of Google Play you have installed. The version I installed that fixed my issue was version 25.4.20-21
