Almost ready to root my buddy's E4GT on Virgin using the one-click Virgin Mobile method, but can't seem to get an answer on APN settings once it's done. Planning on doing PACman rom for him, but I'm guessing I have to set the APN settings correctly to get MMS to work?

You just need to flash one of the zips from the following thread.

Here is another thread that I've heard gets a lot of success. Good luck, let us know how it works out.

hello, ive been having this problem for quite a long time and im getting tired of it. it all started a while back when i finally got my wfs rooted, i was trying out the few roms that are available for the marvelc when i got stuck on the htc screen after trying to flash hensemod 6. to get my phone to boot again i installed the metropcs RUU, but once i got it to boot i come to find out that i get no mobile internet or any of the apps that come along with that such as gps or google maps.
at this point i am unsure of what to do as i have tried most everything i can find on google to no avail, so i have a few simple questions that maybe someone can answer.
1. do cdma phones use APNs?(metropcs specifically)
2. what are the HA and AAA codes i just recently read about used for?
3. is there any way i lost these keys when i flashed my phone?
all help is appreciated and i will be sure to give thanks as i have never gotten a response on this site so even if u respond to me you deserve my thanks.
bump...... does any1 from cali have the metropcs apn settings?
Search Google for your APN then add it

if it was that simple i would have already had it done. ive tried plenty of apns for metro with no success. also the only way i can seem to access my apn settings is by using a few different apn apps because in my mobile network menu it doesnt have an apn section. is this normal for metropcs phones?
I heard insink's rom works for pcs.

I have a telus 989 that is unlocked I use with a different carrier. I have to delete the Telus apn to send mms. you couldn't delete it manually so I used to use APN Backup and Restprehttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riteshsahu.APNBackupRestore. now that i have ics that app does not work anymore.
what are my options?

I came here looking for the apn answer for mms to work on Simple Mobile? Why are these answers so difficult to come by? Hmm.... Off to call customer support and I will be right back.
Does anyone know how to get mms working on a sprint galaxy s3 flashed to virgin mobile?
DId you try fixing the apn values manually?

Check this out. It didn't solve my problem the way i wanted (go sms works, though i wanted to be able to use any messaging app), but it may help you, as it has helped others. It updated a few days ago to include virgin mobile.

Wow thank you man, it worked.
I know this is not the US Cellular area but I do not think we have one so here it goes. I have US Cellular s3 and have run custom roms for sometime I flashed one the other day and now my mobiel data does not work, everything else is fine text, wifi and phone just mobile data. I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this, I have performed a factory reset and put the phone back to stock with the Samsung upgrade tool, flash counter 0 and status normal. Do I need to flash a new radio or modem and if so can I do it in download mode with the stock rom inplace or will I need to root and put a rom on.
Thank you for helping.

It's your APN settings. Check with your carrier what they are, then go into settings, more networks, mobile network (or something like that) and click on APN. You will have the option to add an APN.

If the other s3 is rooted from Uscc n works on uscc yes you can use the same settings. If you call Uscc they won't tell you BC its rooted. The techs don't even have that info.
You just input the mmsc and all the APN settings in and your data will work.

If you call your carrier, you will ensure you have the right settings. It doesn't take much longer than doing a google search for them.

Try the update.
your lte settings are still wrong you know that right? and some of those carriers dont use sprint network... so your network numeric is also wrong, oh yea and stealing someone elses script and just changing the names is not cool. while we do appreciate you working out the mms addresses for other carriers giving credit where credit is due is a must and there is more to it than that
