can anyone suggest a good overclock tool with voltage parameters? setcpu doesn't seem to have one for the play... and antutu seems bugged when setting voltages... (keeps changing the value for 1300mhz to 1300mv)

I'm using Antutu CPU Master Pro and I don't find it buggy. This is better to use imo than setcpu which consumes more battery. Longpress the frequency you are in and using then set to -25mv. Tick on "set on boot" then click "apply". Reboot your phone and check again your settings if it was changed or not. Also, try to reinstall your overclocking app and clear some cache on your phone.

i do agree that antutu is very good... but the problems started when i updated to 2.5... i was using 2.3 before
is -25 the lowest it can go??? isnt -50 safe?
EDIT: also in 2.5 it keeps saying that it has been granted superuser permissions... in 2.3 it only does that whenever i change any setting...
I use OC/UV Beater2v1.7, and it's awesome! Unlike setcpu, it won't run in the background, but rather sets up scripts in init.d (don't set as permanent unless you're 100% sure of your OC/UV settings, otherwise bootloops can occur)

I use 2.3.1 version. I tried -50 on setcpu and it crashed my phone. Haven't tried -50 yet on Antutu. I rolled back my speed from 1.5ghz to around 900+mhz as the speed is still fast (btw im using T.E.A.M. rom).

It shouldn't drain your battery, I doubt that the script is causing drain. Anyway I don't have increased battery discharging because of this.

what option do you recommend?
thank you
After trying the script , found it pretty smooth with option 6 and nitrolag but when i used 3g turbo and kick ass kernlizer = the performance get laggy and 3g data also gets slower than b4
In my experience i dont recommend using kickass or 3g turbo ,but that me and its not necessarily to be with you the same as me

hello folks i've the latest update of euro stock 2.26 rooted..!
i'm using set cpu + disable perflock on stock wildfire s ..!
can i improve battery by using it or set cpu consumes battery on stock kernel..!
by using set cpu on stock kernel does it really improve battery life.?

I don't think you can overclock a stock kernel ..
And overclocking will never improve battery life ..

Ah, well you'll need a custom kernel that supports oc'ing anyway.

You should be able to underclock on a stock kernel just not overclock.

wrong. setcpu only works on custom kernel
you can underclocking using setcpu on stock rom to improve battery. but there are many way to improve battery, disable autosync, remove apps unused, LMK setting, sysctl config, governor and blablabla....
Keep in mind that this way (underclocking) make performance decrease.

hadi! I was wondering, I tried your kernel once... twice... Wasn't sure if there was too much tweaks in my phone or whatever the problem might be, when I used 1.2, my phone goes into sleep state when I locked device, and when I wake it, it took quite a few seconds for the device screen to show up... Actually I'm a mass kernel flasher so I'd really wanna try your kernel too. Is your lulzactive 245-1024MHz settings battery friendly?

ERM... Actually, no. PMR has some very very nice tweaks and mods that just reduces lag.[Not significantly but quite nice]
*[Smooth]|[Powerful]|[WONDERFUL]*
ROM: SlimBean 3.1.0 by camcory
Kernel: forfivo's v2 (smartassv2 - sio - 245MHz/1401MHz)
Tweaks/Mods: JellyBOOM V2, Seeders APK, Disable CPU Rendering, Disable Surface Dithering
For the ROM, I prefer SlimBean because of its size, with JellyBOOM, Seeders and forfivo's maybe it only takes 80-90 MB's compared to any other ROM. So for a stable, slow connection (around 20-30kB/s) it's fairly fast enough to download.
About the kernel and the tweaks/mods: try it yourself.

I used SlimBean once, the fluidity is actually better than Arco's CM10 by default. But I'm not sure if its my device or any other reasons, it consumes battery quite quickly when I underclock it. Nothing much to be said about forfivo's kernel. Been loving it since ICS v1.

Certain Tweaks when used together tends to clash and gives negative effect.
And if those apps you installed will run on background it tends to get laggy.
I use only Seeders and Disable CPU rendering.
I use forfivo's kernel because hadi's version have problem running on my device.
Until hadi fix the bigmem bug on external sd. I'd stick to forfivo.

Hi,
i did undervolt for the CPU and the GPU, but i have a question, on Stweak, we can put the mini frequency of the GPU at 54mhz or 108mhz.
On stock, it is set on 160mhz, anyone tried to set to 108mhz or 54mhz in order increase the battery life ?
54mhz = 825mv (stock)
108mhz = 850mv
160mhz = 938mv (stock) and mine is 875mv
Should i try min at 108mhz and undervolt at 800mv ?
Thanks
I actually don't think there will be problems since the kernel is providing it..
I guess you should try them without setting on boot.. If you had no issues then you may set it on boot.. That's the easiest way to know weather it's good or bad

Hi, i turned back to 160mhz because i got some bootloops, i was affraid of SDS.
But indeed i could remember that i got a better battery life but not impressive... You can see this when screen is on, but i got some wakelock due to low frequency i think.
So battery drained faster in deep sleep while not when screen on.
You should try but be careful, you should put a file .zip which can be flashed in recovery mode to reset settings on the kernel, because if you want to put 54mhz you have to click on "enable on boot" on the kernel settings.
sorry for my bad english

You better have to install greenify and uninstall facebook which give me lot of wakelock which drained my battery.
Now i always have 6/7h screen on time with 2days of standby which is really awesome since i use 3g more than wifi.
