I've been doing some searching and browsing through XDA and over at the Samsung Developers page for several weeks. Have I blindly missed the libraries for the S4 features completely or where is the libraries and or development kit to help use some of the hand gestures and eye tracking? Anyone know where to find them?

The current XDA Android app isn't optimized for Android tablets or Android 4.0 for that matter. Maybe this this thread could get the ball rolling on both of those things.
There's already a thread about the xda app, so you should comment in there. It's a sticky thread in this very forum.
Also, the xda app isn't made by xda developers.

I found an apk for Tapatalk HD in the Galaxy Tab 10.1 forum, which is what I'm guessing the xda developers tablet app will be based on.

Thanks for the link. I downloaded it and tried it. I've only got the 7" tab, but it's running ICS at 160dpi, so it knows it's a tablet (gmail runs in tablet mode, for example). I can't see a single thing different from the current Tapatalk app. Seriously, can you see any difference at all?
Ya, I was pretty disappointed with the app as well. The only difference I see is the action bar on top, and no more menu button next to the on screen multitasking button.

i think that xda should put something on the main page asking that if developers want to they can start a collaborative project to creat one independent XDA app. Just think about how amazing a xda app would be due to the amazing developers here, and a tablet version is also due, the current version wont even run on my transformer prime.

Isn't this only for the on-device movie player, though?
Multi window is useless on our device. Too low of a resolution screen.

It may still be useful, if connected to to monitor via HDMI
Some people won't use the features but most of us want to have it, I for one want the ability for games and especially seeing the sky rocket with it, and isn't our screen size bigger? Not that it matters hdmi out put can't wait!

Hercules and Skyrocket have the same screen.
I've used multi window on my wife s Note 2, and yes it's cool.. But doesn't work with all applications and even withe the notes 2's huge screen its still kinda pointless..

I figure after we get an ota multi Window, it won't be long after some developer will modify it for any app
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Multi window has been modified to support all apps on custom ROMS. So it would be fairly easy once its ported. The hard part is just the latter.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2
What devices currently have multi window for custom roms?
Hercules T989
That response was in regard to the Note 2. Their custom ROMs and the other Galaxy phones ROM support multi window with all apps

Nice now we just need this ported to the t989

I'm not new to XDA, but I'm wondering since I'm new to the galaxy s4 what the difference between the original development and the normal development if that's what you call it. Thanks

In original development forum the roms are built from source.
Basically, it's where you find aosp stuff

Hey guys, I was wondering if there's any port of the galaxy s4 rom for the S3. Thanks!
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Nope, just roms that have the s4 theme kind of and a list of apps that may work on the rom you are trying.. You can start by reading the roms here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1645 and look through this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206668

There has only been leaks of the android 4.2.2 Rom for the international galaxy s3. Sadly, the international has a completely different file system and framework so it would not work on the US variants. We have to wait for Samsung to release or someone to leak the upgrade for our phones.
Edit: Samsung did announce that we will get it though so we just need a little patience.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Yes Samsung did say that we will receive it but they also did later say that the release will be pushed back a little for both the s3's and the the note 2s because of complications with their new touchwiz.

They are all good!
Please spend time in the development threads to make this determination on your own!
As XDA is not a support site, and these threads gets closed for that very reason...so goes this one.
