The current XDA Android app isn't optimized for Android tablets or Android 4.0 for that matter. Maybe this this thread could get the ball rolling on both of those things.
There's already a thread about the xda app, so you should comment in there. It's a sticky thread in this very forum.
Also, the xda app isn't made by xda developers.

I found an apk for Tapatalk HD in the Galaxy Tab 10.1 forum, which is what I'm guessing the xda developers tablet app will be based on.

Thanks for the link. I downloaded it and tried it. I've only got the 7" tab, but it's running ICS at 160dpi, so it knows it's a tablet (gmail runs in tablet mode, for example). I can't see a single thing different from the current Tapatalk app. Seriously, can you see any difference at all?
Ya, I was pretty disappointed with the app as well. The only difference I see is the action bar on top, and no more menu button next to the on screen multitasking button.

i think that xda should put something on the main page asking that if developers want to they can start a collaborative project to creat one independent XDA app. Just think about how amazing a xda app would be due to the amazing developers here, and a tablet version is also due, the current version wont even run on my transformer prime.

You can register the site for free on tapatalk and just have to search for it. Or you can shell out 800 bucks to have your own custom app.
Unless someone here made it.

I'm pretty sure it is registered through tapatalk. It would make sense considering that downloads end up in tapatalk_download.

Truth
"As of late we see a lot of playstore links to paid themes popping up.
Keep in mind xda is a development environment and we love to see graphical modifications for our beloved expensive devices.
Although we of course encourage theming it we have to use a sharing is caring strategy since that's what xda is all about.
And we are trying to keep it this way, xda is not and will never be a marketing platform.
So from now on we will not allow direct links to the paid themes on the playstore.
Basically this are the rules "

Sounds fair enough to me ill work on getting everything zipped up for a free version in the mean time I'll take down the link

Honestly, I invested way too much time into customizing PA 2.54 (the last 4.1 Rom by PA) just how I want it and I haven't found a reason to change it. I just don't have the time anymore unfortunately to keep up with all the amazing and rapid development that xda chefs keep putting out
I did really miss photosphere though so I just wanted that.

Yeah it's not just the paprefs, it's everything else too. Just don't have the time to experiment too much anymore sadly. I'm happy with it till the new Nexus comes along
Nothin wrong with 4.2.1 IMO. I've actually thought about goin back because with it my Gnex got about twice the battery life than I'm getting with 4.2.2. I've tried almost every Rom and kernel too. Used to get about 7hrs screen time with my 3800mAh, now I get about 4 ever since 4.2.2. But I do like alot of the improvements tho so idk...Jus my opinion.
