How to get the Xperia Play music player back? - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I've installed Paranoid Android on my Play (Android 4.1 I think) and it comes with Apollo.
However, I don't really like it and would like the original player (I previously had the ICS Beta rom installed).
Is there any way to do this?
If so, how?
Thanks

No, not at all.
It seems like it's installing but then it says "The application is not installed".
Any thoughts?

you can read up here http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/forum/88-htc-incredible-stable-mod/
I would Highly recommend using ROM Manager to install CM7.0.2.1
I have had better luck getting everything to work on the first shot using ROM Manager
CM7 here.
GAPPS are Google apps like Gmail, Market, but I believe you don't need them as they should be there, at least they were when I installed CM7.

Google Apps contain the proprietary Google applications that come pre-installed with most android devices. Due to licensing restrictions, these apps cannot come pre-installed with CyanogenMod and must be installed separately.

Problems with new Facebook App

When I go to the market to update to Facebook 1.7 it tells me it's not compatible with my phone. Is there a fix for this or am I the only one? I'm using Cognition ROM 1.07. Maybe this is the problem since it's an older ROM?

Works fine on stock I3. Haven't noticed anyone else commenting on it having problems on the sgs2 but I haven't really looked.

Figured it out on another thread. This happens when you use a nonstandard dpi. You can change to a standard DPI, install, then change back.

{Help!} apps on Google Play not available anymore

Hi to all,
I have tested several ROMs since I have have lost my original stock fw.
For a few months I have used this one [ROM] S5660XXKTK [21.03.2012][Android 2.3.6].
Yesterday I tried GioSIII V7 4.0.4 CM9, looks and feels really cool, but I was disappointed by the fact that on Google play I could not install applications, my usual applications like Google Goggles was greyed out, and I could not install it, so I reverted back to 2.3.6 (enhanced236_09.06.2012) but the problem is still there, when I log with my Google account, I can not install most of my applications (paid ones).
Thank you for your suggestions.
Try one of the latest roms on phiexz.com And then go to spare parts and check compatibility mode , Maybe that works ?
Sent from my toaster , using xda app

Hi there, your advice helped, I have installed 2.3.7_2.6.35.7_cm7.2.0_phiexz and all my aplications are again available on Google play. Thank you for that
But my question is still there, does this mean that I will not be able to have 4.0.4 on my Galaxy Gio and to have all my applications installed from market ?
Thanks for your ideas.

It works for both ICS and JB because I've used it for both systems.
No problems at all on ICS for CM builds and MIUI.
Now on JB and it continues to work fine and flashes via CWM no problem.
Perhaps you had a bad flash

The playstore will still detect your phone android version even if you changed it at the build.prop(if i remember correctly.), Why don't you just upgrade to a newer version?

If the App isn't compatible with the Android Version you are Using you wont be able to install it, even if you download the APK file and try to install it manually.
