Not sure with the Rom you're currently using (or flashed last - clean/dirty flash, etc) but if you do a search in the Q&A or Dev section you may find what your after (for help/example see attached pic). There are screen orientation fixes available I've seen posted throughout. Other than that, have you tried the pull down menu and checked to see if "auto rotation" is highlighted or checked?
Yes I tried the fixes they dont work I'm on the newest slim ROM before this I was on paranoid android it happen when I was on paranoid It rotates but it gets stuck until I press the home button

Just some questions, My phone is somehow always set on Auto rotate even when the selection for it is off. I was wondering If any, most likely, if anyone has had this small but annoying issue before? One more thing about the phones flash is that just a bug with this build? or can it be fixed via user?
Thanks for the listen
There is a great Q&A thread for CM9 here that has lots of helpful people in it. Plus you should make your title an actual question.
With that said did you turn off auto-rotate in all 3 places?

Very helpful thread I didn't see the one in Accessibility but still after enabling all rebooting then turning them off, this screen continues to auto rotate. I don't know what could be wrong? is there a way to block it using the terminal emulator?
What is CWM9? Sorry had to say it

Settings>accessibility>auto rotate screen.
Also are you using the stock launcher? If not does your launcher have a rotate setting?
Whenever I use this YouTube version the only way I can go into fullscreen is by having screen rotate on and flipping the phone, double tapping doesn't work what so ever... I've tried on stock bell rom and all versions of kyan rom

I've been having an issue lately where my phone locks up.Sometimes It will happen after a reboot.. the screen will show half of the lock screen and half of the boot screen (and it will lock up in landscape). Strange thing is, I can here notifications while the screen is frozen. So it seems like it's booting up but the screen is frozen.
The other day I hung up on a call and put the phone in my pocket.. I went to get it and it was locked up with the dialer on the screen in landscape. But the power button and home button was able to make the phone goto sleep and wake up up.
It seems it always locks up in landscape.
This happens with multiple roms so I know it's not a rom issue. I always fully wipe when switching roms also. I've also tried wiping my internal storage and cleaning up my sdcard as well.
The other day I flashed back to stock and it didn't freeze. Although I didn't run it long enough I think.. I'm probably going to try stock again but dam it kills me to run stock lol
Just wondering if anyone had some input on my issue. if any other info will help determine the problem please ask.
Thanks in advance.

I've seen this with another user recently and it might be due to a kernel have you tried flashing a different kernel? And also many new ROMs are including landscape rotation in the lock screen and also an aosp lock screen which is very buggy have you tried disabling lock screen rotation or just disabling the whole system rotation?

Thanks for the reply.. I've disabled auto rotate for a few days and its been ok.. going to try that for a few more then turn it back I and see.

Are you using a ROM with AOSP lock screen enabled?

hmm.. yes I was using asop lock but I could have sworn I've used it with no issues before.. might be just me though as I was flashing so many roms..lol..
Currently I'm using goodness 802 with tw lock, auto rotate disabled and its been fine. I'm going to enable auto rotate and leave tw lock enabled to see if that was it.

I found this out the hard way also: if you use AOSP lock screen you have to make sure all the TW lock screen options are off. If they're not then you get the stuck in landscape issue.

Hi, everything about the new update of the youtube app is just fine expect for this silly problem regarding full-screen (landscape) and smallscreen (portrait mode). Whenever I am in full screen mode my 'scrolling bar' (the bottom action bar) gets completely lost, so that I have to retract to portrait mode in order to see it and forward the video to my liking. But that is very impractical when it comes to long videos because the bar is quite small.
Take a look at the screen shots for better understanding
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance and sorry if this is a dumb question.

It could just be a rom issue then if anything you can try Team Black Out's inverted version of the app, as that is the one I use and I have no problems with it :fingers-crossed:
nope it didn't fix it, tomorrow I shall try a different rom and see if that's the problem. BUT I didn't know about this 'inverted apps' thing, just what I wanted! Great suggestion, thanks! I guess they work just add the original apps and only the color is changed right? no battery issues or anything?

what I did was uninstall the old youtube app then went to the play store and looked for Team Black Out as they have multiple apps inverted available, then in their app just download the youtube app in a .zip file that you have to flash in recovery. Yes they only changed the color and no my battery remained the same I think glad I could help!
so I changed ROMs and everything is working fine now, for anyone else with the same problem

I don't think this is a ROM issue, I think it's a YouTube issue. I'm on a stock S3 and have the same problem.

Anyone else having issues clicking install when you load a new app? The area on the screen works fine, its only when installing. I rotate the screen from portrait to landscape and back again to fix issue.
I have had this on several devices, but only if an app that overlays something on the screen is running. If you have an auto brightness app rubbing or something like that try shutting it off.
