I have searched through SystemUI.apk but I can't find the alarm icon. I need to change it to blue to match the signal, wifi etc.
Anyone know in which apk it is located?
Many thanks

Working on a making a theme for myself, but I've realized that I will have to change the color of the text in the pull down notification tray. Anyone know how in the heck I would do this?

You need a services.jar edit and then a png edit. Pretty easy.

That is for the background. Reading through the other links on that tread, I still can't find the line in any or the services.jar areas.

That is a really good site. Sadly, it doesn't change all the icons on the factory rom. Dang, I'm so close to being done with this theme, only a few things standing in my way.
I was just reading a tutorial on this. I think it was in the droid x forum.
Sent from your mom's phone.
Well I made the rest of the icons, now I'm back to needing to change the clock and date color in the bar.
I'm looking to give the white USB notification Icon a little color but I can't seem to find it. I've looked in com.htc.resources.apk and framework-res.apk under drawable-hdpi. I can see most notification Icons but not USB.
Anyone out there?
I think its in the framework-res.apk. look in the \res\drawable-hdpi folder

In a Sense ROM the USB icon is in the PCSCII.apk, its not in the framework. On a AOSP ROM its in the framework-res.apk.

I'm having trouble finding another one. Where might I find notification icons for Successful/Unsuccessful Installs?

Vending.apk

I am currently running cognition v1.07 and I am pretty impressed with the ROM.
I wanted a translucent notification bar, so i tried pulling out the framework-res.apk, and modifying the status_bar_background.png and status_bar_header_background.9.png
Once i push the framework back, i don't see any change in the notification bar.
What am I doing wrong here, I would like to change things myself instead of going for a theme patch or something. Please can someone help on this.
EDIT:
Found the solution, the status_bar_background.png in /system/app/SystemUI.apk had to be edited.

Is this solution still valid to make the status or notification bar transparent?
thanks

Using UOt kichen is much simpler!
on EI22 themes: i cannot find the location of a few images. Firstly, the symbol for aquiring a gps lock. I've only found the gps on one in framework-res. Secondly on roms with the scrollable toggle pulldown, the 4g icon. Also, need a little help with some xmls. like the power off menu label, and if possible I'd love to remove the labels on the quick bar. Thanks in advance to anyone who can shine some light on this for me.

ATM I can tell you that the GPS image is in the SystemUI.apk in /res/drawable-hdpI/stat_sys_gps_acquiring.png
Edit: im pretty sure you'll find the 4G image in the systemui.apk as well

Yes Theduce102 is correct. All the 4G, 3G, and GPS symbols are there as well as the quickpanel toggles.
Is there an easy way to change the status bar color or can someone point me in the right direction to do it myself. I can't stand the grayish color that samsung uses. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

You have to pull the systemui.apk from the rom. That is where most of the status bar stuff is at. You can use apk tool to decompile and recompile the apk.

I went and pulled the systemui and decompiled but can't seem to find the items i need to edit. Is it just a PNG file or do I need to edit the XML also? Does anyone know where they are located in the systemui?
