[Q] Where can I find the USB notification Icon? - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking to give the white USB notification Icon a little color but I can't seem to find it. I've looked in com.htc.resources.apk and framework-res.apk under drawable-hdpi. I can see most notification Icons but not USB.

Anyone out there?

I think its in the framework-res.apk. look in the \res\drawable-hdpi folder

In a Sense ROM the USB icon is in the PCSCII.apk, its not in the framework. On a AOSP ROM its in the framework-res.apk.

There it is...Thank you very much.
I'm having trouble finding another one. Where might I find notification icons for Successful/Unsuccessful Installs?

[Q] [THEME] Sense 3.0 help

Hey everyone!
Can anyone help me finding these png's?
See attached, red arrows.
Basically the background to the clock widget and rosie portion.
I tried to switch the ones in com.htc.resources but it didn't change. I gone through most of all the apk's and am still stumped.
Any advice?
Take a peek in SystemUI.apk.

If u find out where those images for the rosie are I would love to know also. I've been searching and searching because I hate the green when u press on those and also the green when u press on an app on the home screen but I haven't had any luck.

[Q] How to Create Translucent Notification Bar Background

I am currently running cognition v1.07 and I am pretty impressed with the ROM.
I wanted a translucent notification bar, so i tried pulling out the framework-res.apk, and modifying the status_bar_background.png and status_bar_header_background.9.png
Once i push the framework back, i don't see any change in the notification bar.
What am I doing wrong here, I would like to change things myself instead of going for a theme patch or something. Please can someone help on this.
EDIT:
Found the solution, the status_bar_background.png in /system/app/SystemUI.apk had to be edited.

Notification bar 2.3.4 JVP

I want to change the color of my notification bar on JVP. Does anyone know where i should change it?
I did get the notification dropdown menu to be transparent by changing systemUI.apk but don't know where to find the background of the notification bar itself.
I really do not like the all black one, I think it makes the screen look smaller

An easy way to change the "NB" notification bar color, is to use universal androot, root your phone, then DLoad Ninjamorph, open "N morph" then click new project, select system, framework, framework-res.apk, res, drawable, then scroll to statusbar-background.png press and hold to edit color, hit menu button save your changes, backout to "N Morph front screen, tap finish project, select framework-resapk, and your done, but you will need to find clock ect, apks on your own, it shouldn't be to hard, just remember these steps. Also N Morph creates backups of the files before you edit them, just remember to move your backup to a safe place so as not to be overwritten
Nice big
I don't think that works for 2.3.4. I don't have statusbar-background.png in framework-res.apk.
I read somewhere that it's in systemUI.apk in GB? But when i change it there using adb it doesn't change.

its because its a hex color! if you decompile system-ui.apk in apk.manager and go to res/layout/statusbar you will see on the first line depending on your os search for>> android:background="#ff000000" and change to >> android:background="@drawable/statusbar_background"! then go down to the very bottom where it says date view and you will see the same thing >>android:background="#ff000000" change to the same as you did above and then save and recompile!
now whenever you change your statusbar_background.png it will change to whatever you change it too!!
where can i find that system-ui.apk? i tried searching for it!!

Unrelated to your question but, how did you get your dropdown menu to become transparent?
I want to do it on my SGS running 2.3.3 and can't get a proper guide anywhere!

Status bar color change?

Is there an easy way to change the status bar color or can someone point me in the right direction to do it myself. I can't stand the grayish color that samsung uses. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

You have to pull the systemui.apk from the rom. That is where most of the status bar stuff is at. You can use apk tool to decompile and recompile the apk.

I went and pulled the systemui and decompiled but can't seem to find the items i need to edit. Is it just a PNG file or do I need to edit the XML also? Does anyone know where they are located in the systemui?

[Q] Venom ROM statusbar horizontal quicklaunch

So I am having this weird problem which I hope any one can help me out.
In Viper ROM 3.6 and below, horizontal quick launch was small icons with no text which used to change color (silver and gray) based on activate or inactive state.
With the new update of 3.7.1 and 3.7.2, I am faced with big icons with text and blue line below to indicate state.
Is there anyway to get the original icons back. I have tried numerous themes from Venom HUB but none of them seem to work.
Thanks for the help.
Any help
Yes itnis possible but you have to decompile the systemUI.apk and replace the icons with the old ones.......

Shouldnt the old icons be in the Venom HUB somewhere.
Although I can learn how to decompile, I do not believe I will be able to find the icons.
I know where to look. Could also be framework-res.apk.....can't remember my bare head. Will check later
