Does anyone have this problem with their ZL?
I have discovered I'm talking to myself often and when I look at the phone, it turns out the call was put on hold. it's not easy to do, you have to hit the menu button on the top right corner of the call screen, and then hit hold. I must be doing this with my cheek.

Yeh mine too... So irritating. Mine ended most calls frequently. The screen wakes up most of the time while talking.

Hi
Alot of time happens to me on calling is that when I pick or after dial, I guess I hold the phone a lil bit away from the ear, and the sensor that suppose to shut the screen down, not responding and then with my cheen I press the mute mic button and I cant be heard.. :/
It caused me to get hanged up and recall for so many times.. its so annoying..
Is there a way to remove this button?
Any way I never used it my whole life.. and if I do need that function I probbably would block the mic with my hand like old times...
Does anybody got a sollution for that?
Thanks,
Yarden

hold phone closer lol. or try a different dialer. full screen caller id may work for you.

oh come on that's not an actual tip to hold it closer (and if already then I should hold it farther for not pressing),
There must be a way to cancel that button or remove it for good..
and that "full screen caller" is very uncomfortable, perhaps something more friendly.

There is you can decompike the apks needed and edit the smali files and the xmls, then recompile and test. It will not be easy to say the least. Good luck
Minimise the full screen dailer right after you take or make a call.

Or just press the home key. You can always get back to the call by pulling down the status bar, and pressing on the call option.
after calling just lock the phone by pressing power key... all disabled
When I am in a call on my play which I just bought. The screen goes black no touch pad nothing. Please help
You mean when you put it to your ear because it does that so you don't accidently end call or put it on speak but when u take it away to look at it in call it should go to normal so you can use keypad ect

Yes exactly, when I put it to my ear. I do however, understand it is suppose to. My problem is it does not come back on. I have to go to the extreme of pulling the battery to hang up.
Thank you sorry it took so long for me to get back to you.
Almost sounds like its a bad proximity / light sensor? or maybe entering a deep sleep?
That's probably a worst case scenario tho. When your screen goes black does pressing the power button or home button fix the issue?

Hey something new we learn everyday, especially with the Note 2. lol.
Thank you, was wondering why it didn't automatically show on the display, good thinking Samsung.
Its really annoy. Menu and Search keep pressed for no reason. I left on desk and look, and menu and search keep pop and look like phone caught virus and play itself. I see my friend got phone with no button but button was on Screen UI. I want on my phone and disable damn annoy button. Sometime my phone "back button" keep pause on game or exit some app. My phone got bricked and tjagged because I was tried on Trinagle away then it sudden Home key hit when I click process.
There any way to disable button and use button UI?
Thanks, Sam
It sounds like you're dealing with the Phantom menu popup issue. It has been talked about here before. It appears to be a hardware defect that usually manifests when signal strength is low. Try turning off data.

You can follow my tutorial. Read the OP a few times to fully understand how to do it before you try it.

Dose anyone experience the phone switches between apps by itself? Sometime it will split the screen too. It feels like the app switch button at left bottom corner was pressed. It just happened all of sudden and I can't figure out how to stop it.
