[Q] flash / restore back to Sprint settings? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

hey guys. I have a Note 2 that I bought brand new and immediately flashed to MetroPCS last year. I assume this means it has a clean ESN since it's never been used on Sprint.
now I moved to Verizon, and just got my new Note 2 (about to root!) and want to sell the Sprint version. is it possible to revert the radio and all other settings so it can connect to Sprint, and I can sell it as a Sprint phone rather than a flashed MetroPCS phone, since nobody seems to want flashed phones anymore.
thanks!

Nobody?

I too did the same and it works just fine. I am curious about my plan though. I still have the unlimited Data plan. I had the Captivate and got an iPhone 4 in trade for something. I switched to it until the Nexus came out.
I had to call AT&T and have them change my plan so that the iPhone would get data. When I got my Nexus I just put the sim in an adapter and have service with Data. Interestingly my phone shows up as a Captivate again at the AT&T website. Anyone familiar with AT&T plans to tell me what plan I should be on now?

[Q] How to Switch User Information

Hello All,
So I recently bought a Used T-Mobile Galaxy S3 that was Unlocked for use on Metro PCS, My problem is that Metro won’t connect it for Me because the previous owners information is still on it. Is there a way to wipe it so I can connect it to Metro without waiting two months to be able to connect it? The previous owner factory reset it infront of me and erased his lock codes etc. but I guess it still shows his info. Can anyone help?
What info exactly is still on it? Do another factory reset as that should wipe everything back to the oob state.
You could also Odin flash the Stock or root66 firmware, then factory reset again.
What model is this phone exactly?

My S3 Info.
My Galaxy S3 T999 was Originally from T-Mobile but unlocked to be used on Metro PCS. My OS is 4.1.1 and The Previous owner had the phone activated under metro and his plan doesn't end for another week or so, which means Metro will not let me activate the phone until 30-60 days after cutting his service. But since this was the only phone he had, I have no way to contact him. The only other thought I had was maybe just going to Virgin Mobile since the phone is already unlocked, But is that possible since it's still registering with Metro PCS? I'm sorry, I don't know much about unlocked phones and so forth.
That's strange. Once you put your SIM card in it should automatically associate that phone with your account. Without his SIM it shouldn't be trying to access his account to begin with.
Go to a store and ask them to test your phone with one of their SIM cards. If it works you may just need a newer SIM.

T-Mobile phones don't need to be unlocked to be used on metroPCS so it may not even be unlocked, also you can't use it with virgin mobile because I think they're CDMA.. Try doing what doc said

Help putting Note 2 on Straight talk

Hi everyone, I currently have a sprint branded Galaxy S3 on straight talk. It didnt require a flash at all, and everything works perfectly. I went ahead and got a good deal on a Note 2, and wanted to put it onto my account on ST. I checked the cdma bring your own phone site on my phone on their mobile sitr and put in the meid number, and was told it would work. So i called ST and was told it wasnt compatible, and check the site again this time from my labtop and it said it wasnt compatible. So is their anyway to put this phone on my account using sprint towers??

Can someone with a Sprint number switch over to a SGH-T999?

My girlfriend has Sprint but her phone bit the dust. I offered her my current phone but I am not sure if she can just put her SIM in this phone and use it. Is there anything I would need to do to prepare my current phone (running SlimBean 4.2.2 w/ Ktoonz) for her?
You need a CDMA phone for it to to work on Sprint. If your phone is unlocked, you could try putting her SIM in your phone and see if you get a Signal.
The only change if any would be to change the APN (Settings>More>Access Point Name).
Going between Sprint and T-Mobile you will find that it works as a phone, but will only ever get Edge data service.

Thanks for the answers guys. Turns out she was covered by the one year warranty from the factory. So she's getting a replacement Monday. I appreciate the response!!

Sprint Galaxy S8+ not working on Verizon?

Okay so long story short, I have a Sprint Galaxy S8+ I preordered and outright bought (for $850) directly from Samsung in April. This last month I decided to switch with my family to Verizon. Turns out the IMEI of the phone is not recognized by the Verizon network and my phone technically works but always shows I am on roaming. Is there anyway to fix this? The phone IS unlocked I got it unlocked by Sprint, and no Samsung is not budging on helping me at all. They basically just say "Go back to Sprint the phone works fine". I was just curious if I rooted the phone and flashed a Verizon ROM onto the device will it get rid of the roaming and possibly make it able to be seen by the Verizon network? I know flashing the ROM doesnt change the IMEI but honestly Im stuck with what to do because neither, Sprint, Verizon, or Samsung is trying to help me.
You could try the unlocked firmware. I don't know if it would work but doesn't hurt to try

The Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile version of s8/s8+ won't work for Verizon. Verizon's dont work for Sprint either - even you flash it with unlocked firmware. Unless you change the IMEI, but it's illegal. Both Sprint and Verizon required the IMEI in their database. That's the reason I bought unlocked version from Samsung directly. My phone shows OPEN MARKET on sprint. I just ported to Sprint from Verizon to take advantage of the 1 year free service. But I can't use the internet when I'm talking on the phone.
Don't be fooled by that word UNLOCKED, it's still a carrier branded phone.

Any luck using unlock sprint s8 plus on Verizon? I'm on the same boat but can't get it to work on Verizon.
If anyone got it to work, please advise. Thanks
