[Q] Recovery lost? - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hi all
I'm on stock JB .200 and I want to flash the prerooted .211 that doomlord posted but I cant go into recovery... I've tried a lot of things (vol up, vol down, vol up + tap, vol down + tap) and nothing happens. I was able to boot into recovery with stock ICS but not now...
Is there a way to install a recovery WITHOUT root and WITH a blocked bl?
Thanks!

The .200 official jelly bean for xperia s that you flashed doesnt provide a recovery directly .... you have to flash a kernel with recovery which has been provided by DooMLoRD in the same post ... you can flash d kernel as instructed ! den u can enter d recovery mode !
Hit THANKS if I helped you

Yeah but the only way to flash that kernel is by having root, which I don't, so...

Who said you need root to flash kernel?
Connect your device to PC in fastboot mode, flash kernel.elf, reboot into recovery, flash SuperSU.zip, that's it!

i guess the ROM that DooMLoRD has provided is already prerooted ... and though You dont need root to flash the kernel !!! just install the busybox on .200 ROM then follow the instructions given by DooMLord to flash kernel on the locked bootloader... then boot you can boot into recovery !

2.ICS stock kernel with CMW, just search in the development section u will find it

If you want to use a custom ROM then 9 times out of 10 you'll need to use a specific kernel, usually one that comes with CWM.
I know exactly how to flash custom rom, I am coming from MT4G the problem after you flash the rom the phone dosn't boot in recovery it just stay at sony logo, even when i try to boot in fastboot mod dosn't allow me only booting in recovery.

Try this....
1. Flash ur stock ICS firmware 4.1.B.431 ... 2. Don't let it upgrade to the latest firmware (in Canada I got N update that changed my firmware to 4.1.**.587 or something like that)
3. Then flash ur phone with the rootable firmware of xperia generic world version...
4. Flash the kernels for that firmware .. even the stock ICS would be OK..
5. Root the phone using Doomlords method of rooting... Its the best...!
6. At last reboot ur phone ..n violaaa...
U have a completely rooted phone ..!
P.s. make sure u see the log while u root ur phone . It may say rooted successly even if it had some errors... so make sure other are no errors..!
I had the same problem when I decided to unlock boot loader n root it for the first time ... so no worries my friend ...try this .. n it will work for sure.. !

You don't need to install superuser.zip. TWRP has a builtin rooting function.
After going to recovery for the first time and when you reboot, it will install su & superuser.

If you're going to use Stock ROM
if you flashed back .587 ftf, you probably left all .sin checked. You should have unchecked kernel.sin, No final verification unchecked.
Reflash custom kernel. If still no root, flash flashable zip in SuperSU thread
If you're going to use a custom ROM
Just flash respective kernel, wipe data, cache, dalvik, system in CWM and install rom. No need to root .587, flashing .587 is for increasing partition only(in case).

If your BL is unlocked you should download Rom and kernel that you want
rom must be .zip and you should place it in sd card
kernel must be .img or .elf
and kernel Wi-Fi modules must be .zip and you should place it on SD too
then you download QuickIMG tool and place the kernel in images folder of it
then turn off phone and hold menu key and plug usb cable
LED would be blue
then you open QuickIMG and choose your kernel and flash it
then turn on phone
when the led is blue you should press Vol down key
then you enter CWM
do:
-wipe date
-wipe cache
-mount and storage > format/system
-advanced> wipe dalvick cache
then install zip and choose Rom
then install zip and choose Wi-fi modules
reboot...

CM10 you say then you need a custom JB kernel, like Fusion,Lupus or nAa kernel, or whatever kernel you want.
You don't need X-Parts. There are many tutorials out there. But I'll just help you.
Download kernel and paste to pc, in any folder.
1) Flash .587 ftf
2) Flash custom kernel (with phone off, hold menu button, connect to pc. Go to Flashtool, then click the thunderlike button, select fastboot mode, select kernel to flash, point to kernel file)
3) Boot, then repetitively press back button to boot to CWM. If lupus kernel, it is volume down.
4) wipe data,cache,dalvik cache,system
5) Install ROM

[Q] eXistenZ v2 Error 7

Hi guys i have a problem when I instaling the eXistenZ v2 on LT26. I rooted my phone i have recovery and when i install a rom have error nr 7 in revovery, any ideas?
Flash the kernel file from the rom itself
Try flashing the kernel from the rom itself bro this works most of the time Extract it first from the zip file of the ROM you want to install then install the kernel usually it is the boot.img file Flash it via fastboot mode using flashtool then voila you have the kernel of the ROM you want to use and most of the time the recovery comes with it too :good:

Well, since You have a locked bootloader, You can't flash other kernels. Try this recovery, If even this one doesn't work, then try going back to full stock(no root, no recovery) and root using DoomLord's method and try above recovery again as it had worked for Me earlier.

This is waaaay late but, may help someone.
As I understand it, this is an issue with the kernel/recovery you have. You need to flash a boot.img with a combined kernel/recovery that is compatible with the rom you wish to flash. You use fastboot for that:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
So, for official CM11, grab boot.img from the rom zip file and you should get (a rather old but fine for CM11) CWM recovery.
For many other Acro S (hikari) roms you find - e.g. @deedwar's BeanStalk - you will get TWRP recovery if you flash the included boot.img file.
Once you've got the kernel/recovery flashed, then you flash the full rom after the reboot.
