hello people, good day, I have a problem with my xplay, the front camera stopped working, they think it is due? will I need to change the camera, the flex or something? and try all roms, kernels and firmwares .. greetings.

hi guys im looking a bit of advice i have repaired my broken s3 and cannot get the camera to work or the led torch ,more of a frankenstein job than a repair i bought a i747m rodgers with a broken screen and married it up to my front end of my i9300 , it works perfectly in every way accept the camera and led i have tried using other camera apps and torch apps but they hang and tell me camera app is in use , i have wiped everything rooted, cwm, factory installed then tried beanstalk rom and now running synergy rom but nothing makes camera function, i know the parts are easy to swap out but is it likely to be the main camera at fault or the front one i changed the ribbon cable that has the led on it but to no avail .any advice would be welcome ... great site by the way
Hi I have a problem about my samsung galaxy note 2 n7100,when I tried the lcd test and the sensors,all sensor test are not working like proximity,light,gyro,accelerometer etc,so to make that is true,I tried to open a photo and turn the phone into landscape,the screen remains in portrait view,so its really true that my sensors is not working,same with the proximity when i call someone,the screen is not turning off,i tried different custom roms,kernels but noting change it and still not working,but i tried once to reset phone via settings and the sensors are working again and when i change into custom rom,the sensors are not working again until now i hope that its not a harware issue,because i know that it cost a lot to repair my phone,btw im from philippines ,so i hope there is someone here knows the solution,i will really appreciate it and thanks in advance.

I bought htc desire 816 dual from a year ago. Last month the rear camera isn't working. Actually it isn't recognized by phone as when I open the camera app it opens the front camera only... I tried different solution.. I tried downloading other camera apps.. Doing a hard reset.. And finally flashing the CM12 but the problem wasn't fixed... So any of you guys knows how to fix?,

I bought my phone 3 weeks ago and all was fine until yesterday.
suddenly my back camera can't focus at items that are far then 5 cm.
I tried to install other camera app but it didn't work.
I tried to restore the camera to default and it didn't help.
front camera works well.
anyone can help?
Might be general problem?
I can only tell that focus of the back camera seems to be very sensitive towards fingerprints and dirt on the lens as well as low brightness. Couldn't get a single good shot in the evening. But if you have focus problems with a cleaned lens on objects in direct sunlight it's obviously a different problem.
Autofocus problem
I ve the same problem on my p8000. Autofocus on back camera doesn't work. I ve installed also Camera fv-5 app and it said me that autofocus doesn't work... Could be that same FOTA update has genereted the problem?
I think it's difficult it is an hardware problem...
I have the same problem. I tried multiple different Roms and Kernels and still the autofocus is not working. Also the headphone jack just stopped working.
I am starting to hate that peace of crap. And elephones service = Zero.
Its a good concept by the way to build high tech phones with hardware that breaks after some weeks and software that only works partially so that you have to flash a rom to get nearly everything working but you loose your warranty doing that.. I will never buy a "cheap" china phone again.
same problem with my p8000 version B, when i using banking deposit check, can't auto focus. hope someone can fix it
I am too facing the same problem. However, I tried Blueflame's CM and it was working well. So I guess there is something wrong with the binaries. It would be great if someone could prepare a flashable zip for fixing it.

cm still no work, you can look like auto focus, but not very helping , when you using banking apps deposit check, will have auto focus problem
have the same problem after it fall off the ground. seems like a hardware failure

i have HTC one M8 for about two years. one day i decided to take a picture.
i open the camera app and its on the selfie mode, i tried to switch mode and i notice that my rear camera option is gone, i had only selfie and photo booth mode. checked my flash and it was not working too.
after i check the net for Solutions and i did several things, like: clear cache and data files from camera app, switch camera app, and even factory reset. but nothings help!
i decided to check the hardware so i strip down my phone check the cables and connectors.
what i have discovered is when i take the phone out of its metal back case and start it up every things work well!!
once i put it all back together it stops working again. the only thing i removed and fitted was the metal case.
i think its something with the conductors that touched the case but i cant find the Solution please help!!!

I have my m8 since 2014 and I'm fully happy with it, it works well
But during a party, I wanted to take a picture and the only camera I have is the rear camera or the second (2 mpxl)
I tried yo find a way out :
1/ flash a new rom, not working
2/ check the hardware, no idea
3/ change the camera : I receive a brand-new piece and I replace the camera but not working neither
So it's not a problem from camera, if you have found any solution please contact me!!

hello to all
i fixed my camera and im very happy from my phone again.
the problem for me was that when i remove the metal bake case the camera works fine, at the moment i assembly the phone back my camera not work again.
i assume that the metal case press the camera or the connectors in some way that it wont work.
so i take a piece of silicon and tape it inside near the camera, in a way that when i put back the back metal case it will make a small gap between the camera an the case.
today i am a week later and it work perfect.
i hope it will work for you all
