I'm running CM 10.1 stable experimental version with Cerux kernel (v1.46) and T989UVMC6 radio. I've noticed that whenever I use Google Now to look up something, it is super slow or won't even search at all. However, if I try searching on my browser it goes through with no problem so it must not be a data connection either (same thing happens on WiFi). I'd appreciate if anyone could help me with this problem.
Thanks for reading!

Salutations everyone, I've seem to run into a problem in where my Wifi completely stopped working and experiencing a few force closes as well but mostly being that I use Wifi a lot I need this fixed. I am currently running Cyanogenmod 7(7.0.3) if that info even matters and I also have my stock rom on my computer if that helps at all. If anyone could reply back with useful information it would be well appreciated.

Perform a Superwipe+ and install the newest version of CM7, preferably a nightly with good marks.

You don't have to go all the way back to unrooting to fix your problems. Like the other poster said, doing something like a superwipe+ and reflash of a new ROM should easily solve your issue.
Well the reason why I quickly wanted to go the route of unrooting is because I dropped my phone pretty hard(phone is intact still.lol) but it seemed right after the drop my Wifi stopped working so I figured the only way to fix this would be by way of replacement. Anywho, excuse my newbyism but how do I superwipe? Through Clockworkmod? And aren't nightlies not the most stable roms? Thanks in advance..

Update, I flashed back to a previous rom(Cyanogenmod 7.0.2) Wifi started working perfectly again then simply download(F'n throtled.lol) 7.0.3 again and flashed all over again and everything works fine. Thanks for the info.

It often switch off suddlenly...this is the reason why I got back to android revolution hd....but for the few minutes I tried JB I've seen it was exetremely fast so I'd like to find the problem.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks
Try jelly time 10.1, and set your DPI to 160. I am having no issues at all. Using it as a daily driver for weeks now.
I was using ice cold sandwich, and had many reboots, dropped calls, etc.....

See if the latest JellyTime or codefireX has the same problems. It should be fixed in the latest version of each (and I'm sure it's fixed in cfX since I use it).
What version of JellyTime were you using when you had the issues ?

This. Almost all of the R series JT releases have been extremely stable. R15.1 was amazing. R16 was smoother, but it had a few more bugs added. I believe R17.1 may have fixed it, but I haven't used the ROM yet.
Also, have you checked md5 sums? I have never had an issue with a ROM itself having more bugs and issues than stated (Except for battery life on JB roms). If I do, I'll just rewipe and flash.
Working

I've tried the latest that at the moment was R16 and I had many problems.
Yesterday, as suggested, I installed R10.1 and so far I don't have problems.
I though that there's still a problem on the hotspot, but the issue is only on my IPod Touch...if I use the laptop as a user of the hotspot everything is fine.
Thanks Chrism.Bunner!

On any CM10 based ROM, when I take a picture, it saves EXIF date as December 8, 2002. This wouldn't be bad except I use a lot of applications that create albums based on that date. Also, Dropbox reads this date instead of the filename or created date.
Does anybody have a solution for this? I've used different camera apps and it still does it.

This has been a problem since cm9 days. I think it was you that brought it up before and it basically fell on deaf ears. All I know is it doesn't do it in stock or Miui only CMx or anything based on CyanogenMod. I don't know if this has any connection but backups done directly in CWM have the same date code where as in Rom Manager it doesn't. Could the camera app and CWM be pulling from the same source?

Yeah, it was me who brought it up and yes, it was ignored. I even submitted a bug to CM and now I can't find the bug in their system. This bug is actually the only thing keeping me from permanently switching to any CM10.1 based ROM.
If anybody has a fix or workaround, please let me know.

Its the date thing plus Bluetooth, YouTube and reboot issues for me that keeps me going back to ICS. BTW I would like for you to try my latest tweaked version of v20f NitroTNT v 2 and see what you think. I believe I have finally solved the lag issue that has been an issue for our phones. Its a culmination of efforts from HO!NO!, lyfkevin and you. Let me know what you think. Also I modified the build.props file so no need to input access point info for it to work on AT&T. Enjoy.
One more thing, wind kernel 3.6 is built in.

cm10.1 is slowly getting better, ricardo had MHL working on 10.1 on his phone, it doesn't work on mine for some reason still trying to figure out why, that was always my main reason for staying on ICS, that and battery life, but the battery life is as good as ICS now, if they get mhl working i won't even need ics anymore. my bluetooth is working fine by the way i think it's fixed 100%, i can even use mine iwth a ps3 controller, car stereo etc without issues. my youtube also works great when i disable HW overlays in dev options (thanks mattman for that tip)
i have only seen mhl work on my phone with mattmans liquid nitro and stock ICS, i imagine it would work on your TNT rom also since its based on stock unless you changed something related to it
any solutions x this problem¿??¿'
Try unbricking your phone. Before it would show 12/8/2002 and after unbrick the correct date and time show up in EXIF data. Using 10.1.2 stable with wind 2.5

I remember that I did some research on this a good while ago on this. If I remember correctly, the code was right, it was something to do with the lib files that can't be decompiled and tweaked.

@mattman86: Have you tried microslav_mm's cm10? I don't know if it's the 3.4 kernel or the LG camera app but dates work fine. The ROM does have its quirks, but very good overall, been running it for the last week no BSOD's or reboots.

Yes, I have. I've tried just about every CM10 based ROM on here and they all have the problem. The CM team won't even look at the buy when I submit it.
I followed the unbrick guide above and now the problem even exists on stock ICS.
been looking around forever for an answer and found an app for acer devices which works on my S2 on PA 3.99. it doesn't completely fix the camera but helps A LOT so i thought i'd share:
it's called Acer EXIF Fixup on the Play Store.
i just created an account to share this info so i can't post a proper link but check it out and hope it helps!

This App is no way belongs to me. Im just sharing it to the guys using AOKP/AOSP roms. Because i was watching so many people complainning about it.
It actually completely restarts your camera app in a second or so. without having to reboot your cell phone.
Simply Install it. Give it Root permissions. When ever "cannot connect to Camera error" appears. Click on this app in your app drawer. Then open camera app once again. it ll be fine then.
Restart_Camera.apk (Attached)
Sharing = THANKS :highfive:
Interesting! Will keep this app in mind. But exactly how does it work? What's the app doing?:fingers-crossed:
No idea how this works but, It defo works well! I forced the camera to crash (on pa) to test it, works like a charm

It just resets camera & all of its services libs etc which is also be done by the System when you reboot your cell phone. Its is exactly just like rebooting your camera completely just like you reboot your cell phone. As much as i can explain. Thats why it requires root permissions.

It is a fix somehow. Clicking on the app & in less than 2 secs if it is resolving the issue. It is the fix. Yes, a temporary one. CM can only release a permenant fix.
Interesting..
It doesn't work on all AOSP ROM's I discovered now. Worked on CM and PA but not on LiquidSmooth, AOKP.
I install the app and opened the app when the problem started but nothing happened. It doesn't request Superuser permissions. Very strange!

There is no camera bug in the latest CM Nightlies/PA/Slim/AOKP ROMs.

Its not for touch2focus. It is for the bug "cannot connect to camera" which appears randomly. & only rebooting your cell phone fixes the issue for some time. It can appear again anytime randomly.
I ve shared this app because it can solve that issue without rebooting your cell phone.

It comes up to ask for superuser permissions, which I grant, but clicking on it seems to do nothing.

Just click on it when your camera does that problem 'cannot connect to camera'. after clicking on it re-open the camera app. it should work then I'm using it on Temasek's unofficial cyanogenmod. It always works like a charm on every build. & yea on official nightlies as well.

Hmm, I wonder if I'm doing something wrong?
I installed the app and granted superuser. I'm running CM 10.1 RC4 on the Verizon SIII with the latest version of gapps.
I launch the camera and get the "cannot connect to camera" FC. I then tap the restart camera app from the app drawer and get the toast "superuser granted" (this happens every time, even though I set superuser for "forever"). I then go back to the camera app and get the same FC as before, no change. Have uninstalled/reinstalled to no avail. Any ideas?
i have a Pantech Sky Vega 820L running on Mokee JB 4.2.2 rom and i have the same problem..
im gonna try this..

CM bug, update to latest nightly, this should be solved; Check with your carrier on how your data consumption is doing.
