[Q] Apps disappears on reboot with LupusGB - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, I just want to ask incase anyone of you knows the solution to my problem because i tried searching here and there but to no avail.. Everytime I use LupusGB kernel some of my apps disappears on reboot but when Im using Doomkernelv14 everything seems fine.. It just puzzles me as to why they go missing after reboot.. Hope someone can help me.. And btw my ROM is Xperia NXT Gaming 1.2.. Thanks for your answers

Are you using links2sd or apps2sd? Or maybe lucky patcher?
Sometimes it just need time to load all apps who are on sd (esspecially if you have lot of them)

I don't know what is causing that, but you could try to move them to phone memory, then move them to sd again. Try with normal way (from settings-apps) or with link2sd.
Maybe android.secure folder is deleted. You have backup?

Reboot to recovery, mount sd card from there, plug in to pc, transfer all files from sd card to pc, format sd card (from phone), transfer back sd card files.
If that doesn't work, i really don't have any more ideas...

Just need to waste some of ur time to costumize again ur xplay again~

Its due to the rom, if it has zipalign on boot it will zipalign apps and if u have cracked ones they get messed up and android deletes them...

[Q] Low on space messaging driving me crazy

Hey
I have a few apps on my SD card and this morning at random I recieved the "low on space" Message in my notifications area
It is driving me crazy and wondering why this could be as I have 41MB free.
I am rooted with the bootloader unlocked and I have not installed any app for a few days at least.
I have the add more space mod maybe this is just eye candy rather than actual space freed up.
Other than being rooted and bootloader unlocked I have stock .62 firmware with only reboot mod and some fonts replaced etc
If it is still there tomorrow evening I will just reflash my firmware however I would rather not need to
Thanks in advance,
Jinx13

Your phone is rooted and unlocked. Theres a way to format a partition on your sd to act like a internal memory. May that helps. Google it, i have seen a guide before

You can use tb and integrate some apps into ROM.
I use root explorer to check the space in system, then use titatium backup to move apps as system apps then push to ROM.

There's a well written Link2SD article written on Xperiablog.net. I've followed that and no longer have any memory issues.

If you mean can you still use them and update them then yes.....I have flash player, gmail, maps and other apps I cant remember I pushed to Rom and they still update ok.
By doing this you get extra internal space.
don't use all system space as I got fc 's when I had 10mb left

Was your sd card partitioned before? If so then please read the ROM post carefully.
May be formatting ur sd card and retry might help.

I used to wipe cache always, but lately I do it only sometimes. I read something, that it could help. I've just flashed ROM again - with wiping cache We'll see if it help.
I'm sorry, I don't know what "MTD partition" is? :silly:

Its ok if you dont know MTD,at least now I know that is not the problem.
Well, I download link2sd and tried to uninstall Stock.apk (nothing else) and then - force closed: google services framework, com.google.process.gapps, com.htc.bgp, com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox etc... Help, please
Edit:
I ofcourse wipe everything and flash rom from the beginning.
Now I'll try "fix permissions" but I did it earlier (few roms ago) and it didn't helped :/

Why do you need link2sd ?
apps2sd is already there in the ROM.
If you want to move apps to sd-ext then use A2SDGUI app instead of link2sd.
Link2sd must be causing all FC's.Uninstall it right away.

I used to use link2sd and I loved it - easy to use and do its job good.
I tried to use A2SDGUI (it was in other rom) but probably I don't know how to use it or I use it wrong. I'm downloading it right now and I'll try to do something with it. You're right, I want to move some apps to sd-ext.
Quick question: there is enabled "Apps are on SD!" but they're not, how to move them in this app? Example: youtube, quickoffice, gmail and others - I don't think they are on SD and there are no possibility to move them there.

Look link2sd is a nice app,no problem with that. Its only good when you havent flashed any a2sd script or your ROM doesnt have it.
In this case ROM already has an a2sd script,link2sd creates its own scripts which are conflicting with the one in the ROM.
first open a2sdgui app,hit zip align on boot option,if you want more space you can go to dakvik cache tab at the up,you can hit move and rebuild dalvik cache to sd-ext,this way you'll have 50-60 mb more space.
And yes, this app will move apps which should be to the sd-ext.
You were right. After unistall link2sd force closed stopped appears! Thanks for help
About that a2sdgui.. I did like you said and I hope it will work. Any app from this Rom did not move to SD, but maybe next apps will
Thanks a lot!

System apps wont get moved to SD-EXT.
What about Root unistaller or Quickpic? They also didn't move to SD I'm not saying they must, but I would like to know how it works
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda app-developers app
If you are looking at app info and if there is an option available saying 'Move to SD',that doesnt mean that app is on internal memory.'SD' and 'SD-EXT' are two different things or partitions.
You are right. What I was thinking about I'm so embarested well, so everything is great! No force close, fast, smooth Rom, everything I dreamed about. Thank You very much for help!!

My pleasure.
One more question: my HTC clock doesn't show weather. Could I fix this? It says only "My localization" but it doesn't show city, temperature, picture of weather. I don't need this, but it's nice to see on the main screen
I'm not interested in alternative clock/weather app. Just stock one.
Thanks for answer and goodnight

It kind of defeats the purpose of making a backup if I have to reflash the phone
I noticed the second time I tried doing it CWM reported I only had 585mb of space left which isn't true. Could the fact that I have a second partition for Link2SD to use screw things up?

Not enough space to install new apps?

Im using Arc S and Ive only got like 15 apps installed, mostly common ones, but when I try to install new ones it says that theres no enough memory. I have 8GB SD crad but I cant move some apps to phone. Any solution to this?
Try clearing cache. Otherwise remove apps for space, or install them in your system/app partition.
