Probably you've removed some necessary system files mistaking tit to be a bloatware - the easiest way to recover would be to re flash stock via odin

BTW - So how did you solve your problem?
I've had this problem before too with constant loops. I took the battery out, put it back in and rebooted holding Volume Up, Home and Power, and then wiped caches and factory reset, then rebooted and that worked. I've done this multiple times when reverting to a stock rom coming off a custom.

Volume Up, Home and Power combination is for Recovery mode.
Volume Down, Home and Power combination is for download mode.
Odin is a custom program you need to use to be able to flash certain kind of files (factory images, recoveries, modems, etc).

So, I've tried out a few different ROMs. AOKP (4.2.2) was very nice, but I lost a lot of the great Note2 functionality (Camera, screenshot, SPen, Multiwindow, etc). So I've flashed LabRats 2.2 (4.1.2), got my apps back, happy with it... except it won't activate. I keep getting Error 1500 when it tried to self activate. I had this show up on other ROMs, but it always resolved itself... not this time though. I can call and text, ESN, MEID, all that looks good, but it won't activate for mobile data, which makes everything useless when I'm on the road (no Ingress )
Anyways, I'm downloading the stock / unroot / reset flash count ROM, but before I do that, I'd like to fix this instead, since the battery life is wonderful on it (although, that could be because nothing is using mobile data lol)
Any ideas?

4. FLASHING A ROM, RADIO OR KERNEL VIA DOWNLOAD MODE USING ODIN
Odin can be used to flash image files or parts of your phone. You can flash something as simple as a boot image or a complete system. Everything is packed in a tar or tar.md5 file on your PC and flashed via Odin which is a Windows OS program.
a. Make sure you have your tar file stored on your PC.
b. Reboot your phone to Download Mode [shut down your phone, then hold down the Home + Volume DOWN Buttons and press the Power Button for about 2 seconds until a Warning screen appears. Press Volume UP to continue to Download Mode.
c. Connect your phone via usb and the first box at the top under ID:COM should turn blue and have some text in it. If you are using Download Mode on your phone for the first time then you will notice drivers being installed to use it.
d. The site or page you downloaded the file from will usually give you instructions to set Odin but if not you want to load boot/recovery/system files to the PDA location and have 'Auto Reboot' and 'F.Reset Time' ticked and nothing else.
e. Click on 'Start' to start the flash. You can see what is happening in the text box in the lower left.
--------------------------------------------------------------
How to get into Recovery Mode
1. Unplug the USB cable.
2. Shut down the phone.
3. Hold down the 'HOME' + 'VOLUME UP' buttons and press the 'POWER' button for about 5 seconds to enter Recovery Mode.
How to get into Download Mode (For Odin)

I have a galaxy s2 and I cannot get the phone into ODIN download mode. When I plug in the USB, while holding the down and up volume button it goes into recovery mode A3 but no DL mode. Are you trying to recover from a bad flash? Did you already root your phone? Did your try to wipe cache/factory reset from recovery? Is your phone unable to boot?
No
I've never flashed the phone before, it's not rooted and there is only the built in recovery mode. I have factory reset once but its when I first got the phone.

1-use ODIN to flash cwm (clockwork mod) & root your phone First
2-after that u flash any custom ROM while in cwm.
How:
1- your pc has to have samsung usb drivers (one way to do that is to downlaod samsung Kies)
download to your pc these files:
“recovery-cmw-hercules.tar”
CWM-SuperSU-v0.87.zip
get them from here http://galaxys2root.com/t-mobile-galaxy-s2/how-to-root-icsgb-on-t-mobile-galaxy-s2-sgh-t989/
Now, to put phone in download mode: Turn phone off- take battery out Then put it back in- hold vol+/- down & plug usb cable in phone
screen will come on- move vol up -----> u in download mode. (at this stage only usb cable or you following steps can make this not work)
Start ODIN........u can see the rest from link above.
After phone is rooted and has cwm installed Now u can copy any ROM to scdard and flash it through cwm.
to put phone in cwm (recovery) same as above except Hold vol+/- & power button (no USB cable) samsung will show up on screen Let go of power button and keep holding vol+/- ----> now u are in recovery ....install your rom + gapps and reboot
Two importand thinhs: after rooting and installing cwm ------back up your current rom & make sure make sure you flash ROMS for your device (Hercules) only ....u flash a rom/kernel for another device YOU WILL brick your phone,
after the first time....its super easy
Hit thanks

Pull the battery, plug the cable into the phone, Hold the up and down rockers, put the battery back into the phone and power it on while holding the rockers. A yellow screen with a warning will come up. Pressing the Up rocker will get to DL mode. Pressing down will reboot the phone. But unless your phone is connected to the computer/power, DL mode is difficult to get to. Hope that helps
when do you put the battery back in?
I'm using a stock rooted t800. I foolishly used the "integrate apps updates into rom" in titanium backup and now I'm getting constant messages that "unfortunately XYZ has closed." I've tried reinstalling those apps and it doesn't appear to be helping...
In any case, I'm used to seeing a "how to return to stock" on XDA threads, but for the tab s I can't seem to find one. Am I missing it? I also can't find the latest stock firmware (I'd go with a custom ROM but multiwindow is too important to me).
thanks!

[SOLVED] Download mode can't be removed, I had to try all dat long but I finally could boot into it.
Hi,
So... I had a working Samsung Galaxy S9 (SM-G960F/DS) running Lineage OS yesterday. I noticed something wrong related to the mobile network in my country (FR) and decided to flash the correct stock firmware matching the country code XEF before doing a full LOS reinstall.
Fast-forward 20hrs of download, I perform the flash operation this morning using heimdall(1) and reboot.
Now, the phone bootloops. I can't get into download mode as usual, and the only thing that is available is the stock recovery mode that allows:
apply update from adb
apply update from sdcard
wipe data
wipe cache
mount /system
view logs
run graphics test
I have a working all-countries firmware archive that contains the one that was working previously (minus the mobile network problem). But since I don't have download-mode anymore I can't install it. I tried adb sideload (which is available via the "apply update from adb" option), wipe data/cache to no avail.
Is that hard-brick? Did you ever experience a similar situation? I think there's no way out of this but any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks again!
You should be able to get into Download Mode (Vol Down & Bixby & Power)
Keep trying, try keeping hold of the button combo until after the phone reboots twice hopefully the second time into download mode
Download mode has nothing to do with firmware or recovery that has been flashed, and if you can enter recovery mode, it doesn't sound like a hardware problem either
And use a Windows machine & ODIN 3.13.1 to flash stock
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work, i tried many tiimes and I usually can do that very easily. It seems flashing the corrupted images wiped it out.

Impossible as it is not part of the firmware, nor can be touched by firmware, it is part of the hardware (Think BIOS vs OS)
You can even 100% wipe all internal storage clean so there is no OS at all and download mode will still work fine
Keep trying
Okay I guess it's possible that the download mode is still there but I can't reach it.
I've been trying hundreds of times every combination I can think of (including Home + Vol Down + Power that used to work).
Any alternative way to trigger the download mode ?
How are you trying Home? There is no physical home button
The button combo is Vol Down & Bixby & Power from a powered off state
Keep a hold of all 3 until it hits the Warning screen, then hit Vol Up to enter Download mode
No other way to access it that I know of, USB Jig hasn't worked since a few models back
Have you tried factory resetting from inside recovery? Unless you used CSC during the stock firmware flash, that could be a reason for the bootloop

Maybe the issue is with the Volume Down button, does it work inside of recovery for navigating the menu ?
What happens when you try entering Download mode? It just tries to boot as if you didn't press anything?
Only other thing is to hold Volume Down & Bixby, then connect the USB cable to power it on (instead of using the power button)

The volume down button works perfectly in the recovery menu.
When I try entering download mode normally while device is powered down, the phone never turns on.
When I try to hold the buttons during the interval of the boot loop, it goes to recovery (yes, even with volume down, not volume up).
The other technique you mentioned also went to recovery.

BINGO! I kept trying. Did this all day literally hundreds of times.

I didn't change the way I do it, I think there was some nasty timing going on with the boot loop.
Anyways... lesson learnt: download mode is indeed hardcoded. What a day!

Good stuff, yea well whatever it was hopefully it's sorted now, use ODIN this time
So I tried to install TWRP and followed the steps, used ODIN v3.14, it tried to upload something but failed with an error.
Now the phone has gone into a perpetual restart cycle:
1) Reboot (by itself or Vol Down + Power)
2) Blank screen with: "Galaxy A70 - Secured by Knox - Powered by Android"
3) Screen with: "This phone's bootloader is unlocked and its software integrity... - Press power key to continue"
4) Blank screen with: "Galaxy A70 - Secured by Knox - Powered by Android"
5) Blank screen with: "SAMSUNG" for a very long time
6) eventually back to step 1
****************
Is there a way to get back this phone?
I was flashed twrp normally and nothing happened for me. Did you pressed vol up+power ASAP after flash successful ? If not, go to download mode and flash again, then press vol up+power immediately.
I never managed to flash TWRP, ODIN displayed an error when I tried.
1. Your using the wrong version of odin. You need 3.13.3
2. Sounds like your not key comboing fast enough?
3. You can not hard brick the A70. If its in a boot loop, plug into pc and Continue to hold vol up and down till it boots to download mode. Flash latest stock version then reboot.

Get frija from the link in my guide under tools, install it on your pc, then use it to download your latest stock firmware. Make sure you have odin 3.13.3 as well
In frija, enter the model number and the region code of the A70
In my case it would be SM-A705MN/ TTT
Do NOT flash other models, it must be for your Model. Also, dont flash csc_home in this instance, use csc. When loading the AP file, it will take a little bit to load in and you may see odin has stopped working, ignore that and it will eventually load, make sure auto reboot is unchecked everytime you use odin. The first step in my guide says to download and flash latest stock firmware. Anytime your going to do modifications to a device, make sure to have the latest stock firmware first.
Many thanks for suggestions.
I managed to download the stock firmware from https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-a70/firmware/SM-A705FN/BTU/#SM-A705FN and have uploaded it using ODIN 3.14 The phone has now started, like new / factory reset.
I am now setting it up (Samsung firmware) just to make sure I have got my phone back.

In download mode, Android 11, to exit, it litterly tells you on the screen to hold vol down and power to reboot. Vol up and power does nothing in this state. To get to twrp from download mode, hold vol down and power till screen goes blank and then press and hold vol up. This will boot to twrp. Other ways to boot to twrp is power off device, plug into pc, wait for it to charge, then hild vol up and power till it boots or if magisk is installed, use magisk reboot options.
Dude, your key combos and information is incorrect. You can not reboot to twrp from download mode by holding vol up and power.
Samsung changed the keymap combination to boot into recovery on 3.1, so to boot into recovery stock or whatever it is, just follow the steps:
Connect your cellphone to the USB port.
Press on Volume UP during boot.
Samsung does weird things

My key combo is true, actually the wrong one is yours This is the valid way also on the latest bootloader but like haky86 said, on latest bootloader Samsung wants you to plug USB cable to do this.
So we are agreed, there is no way to get to TWRP unless you are connected to USB? For example, on my one old phone, I used to keep TWRP backups on the SD card, and I could restore anywhere, I did not need to be near the PC with a USB cable.
