Problem with video camera in Xperia ION - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

hi i have a problem, when i use the camera of my cel in the places where there are Light of day/White light (example street, school), my cam and video cam works 100%, and takes nice photos, the problem is when i use my cam where there are warm light/ yellow light (example my house when i have turned on the light) the video cam has got lot of noise and i checked the isos, mensuration, focusing, and nothing, and the problem continues
I think that the problem appeared when sony upgraded my cel from 6.1.c.1.105 to 6.1.c.1.111, i dont know if this is the problem but i did not notice that the camera never has had noise in the version 6.1.c.1.105
Any Help?

Hi again, ty i gonna try it, i have 1 question, if i install that camera mod cyber shot and then i dont wanna use anymore that cam, can i uninstall it going to settings, aplications? and replace it for the original camera with titanium back up ?
tyty

Just make sure you have a backup before you flash it. If you don't like cyber then delete it and restore the stock one. Though as stated Cyber shot is a big step forward and once you get the settings correct it works great. The one thing I have noticed about the camera in general is the auto mode is not that great. Whyle cyber shot's superior auto is better I tend to use manual mode for crisper shots.

why should i do a flash with stock firmware if i dont wanna the cyber mod ? i cant delete it via settings>applications?

nvm i solved this, ty!

Sorry
hey infraa sorry i didnt respond xD i had my highschool sophmore finals xD mah bad haha and its good you solved it

Its a system app so you need root to delete it. I was just saying you could use Titanium Backup for the old one so you would have the option to replace it easily. Glad you got it working.

Reset the setting of your Camera and make your photo again and compare it with previous photos.
Reset is the last item in the setting menu of Camera.

why don't you ask Samsung tech themselves for help? people here are trying to help from experience and are not getting paid by Samsung for helping out.
Have you tried changing the settings like brightness and special effects (found on the side of camera)

[Q] Photos with blurred borders and focus at center

Hi,
my Xperia S in the last months have problems with focus.
Camera photos have focus only in the center and the borders are blurred. Like Photoshop blur filter.
No one have this problems ? May be the rom ? It's stock Rom ICS .55
Before i had no problems.
Thanks for your replies!
LL
ps this is an example ogt my problems. All photos are as this one. Changing scenes or settings doesn't solve problem.
Do you have any case on your xs ? Or something near the camera ?
"Sad is happy for deep people" Sally Sparrow
correct me if im wrong but i think you're using manual settings
now in manual settings dont set your metering to center, set it to average and take a sample shot..and set your focus to multi auto focus
post another sample shot with these settings
Something is disturbing the lens sight. Remove your back cover, clean the lens with a soft cloth and try again without the back cover or anything else.

First you must see the photo then you can try to help. This isn't macro. He has a problem with camera. Look at photo.
None of these ....
I've already cleaned the camera with a soft clooth, testing all focus modes , reset phone.
None of these test works. The issue is present from 2 months , before i've no problems.
I think it's an hardware issue ...
Probably i want to upgrade my phone to Galaxy Note 2 so i'm thinking to sell it... what do you think ? Anybody tried the note 2 ?

[Q] Xperia S photo focus issue?!?!

Hi guys...
There's one stupid and annoying issue that happens in my Sony Xperia S when taking photos!
I don't know if it's global, but i don't think so, because i didn't see anyone else claiming about it.
When i'm taking photos with close focus (like 20cm distance), i press camera button to focus and it shows green, but the image is a little blured, and i press the button all the way down to take the photo even with the blured image, and then the pre-visualisation of image is well focused...
I have already tried to focus again like 20cm distance, and then move the phone so the image gets not blured, like with excellent focus, then i take the photo, and it gets with really bad focus... -_-
I have already tried different camera mods, like advanced stock camera, cybershot mod, all the same.
Any one with same issue? Any way to fix it?
you can fix with root
you need to edit build prop though
Ill paste some things for you to put in your build prop later

I have centered metering, ISO auto, auto-focus i have already tried single, multi and touch focus.
I've also tried taking fotos with original camera, camera FV5 and Lenovo supercamera. All of them with the same problem.
Taking photos with flash at night, preview is really fast and i can't see if it do the same like without flash...
I have to try to record with my brother's Honamy, maybe it's visible while recording that way, since i can't capture screen while taking photos...
The worst problem is when i try to take macro photos or taking photos with super macro lens. Being really hand-stable isn't enough. I have to get used to this focus issue :/

I just don't know where to find the original camerra app... I've searched but i couldn't find it for JB...
I have stock ROM with DoomKernel, 96FW Rooted and unlocked.
I have only moded notification bar, Home.apk, and Camera (cybershot)... and build.prop but only adding lines not related with camera.
Maybe it's my phone's fault... Thanks anyway for your help.

[Q] Android 4.4.3 Manual Camera Mode Slow

My phone is fully stock and has never been rooted. I updated to 4.4.3 a few days ago, and notice the manual mode in the camera is slow. Even if I use the fastest shutter speed, it takes a few seconds to take a picture. Auto mode is quick as usual. Anybody have a solution?

Well you are not alone.
In the topic regarding the pics taken with the M8 we were discussing about the fact that now you can't see anymore what you shoot when using 4 second shutter speed (very annoying ) and also I've noticed like you that now in manual mode it's incredible slow.
I don't know I'd we are in the right place to discuss this matter...Personally I'm upset because I don't understand why they did this mess. I'm not fan of the UltraPixel camera and neither a fanboy, so I get used to the m8 camera, but now with this change HTC left me very disappointed.
I don't think they will revert back to the old camera...For them this is an improvement...

Man, that's crazy. The only improvement the camera needed was HDR mode (I use the lock focus trick, but I wish that wasn't needed), and removing the purple fringing if that was possible to fix in the software. Oh, if HTC added a fast shutter priority mode, that would have been nice.
But yes, they need to fix manual mode.

Camera flash issues

I am having issues with nexus 5x, with flash on & HDR off a the flash is pathetic in a Dark room the flash goes off but all the photos are dark? Or when there is a little light with flash forced on the room is no brighter??? Help.
In a bright room if I force the flash on the photo goes dark? This makes no logic?
A your else having problems?
Think I have found the problem, when the battery goes below 20% the flash looses most of its power.
Same problem here, when battery goes below 15% and i take a picture of near subject, the photo is almost all black. Does it happen to someone other?
I think however is a simply intrinsic energy saver...
Here's another thread with the same issue:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3382452
What have you guys done about your flash issues? Warranty?
I'm in the process of warrantying now along with garryboy. Just waiting for Google to send me the refurb unit before I send them mine.

It may sound stupid, but use the WhatsApp app..
I tried every other app than the stock camera and it doesn't take the photo after/before the flash turned on..
Tell me if it did work to you ?
*** EDIT : another solution that worked the best for me :
Use the camera nx with the zsl ! It works great with the flash unlike the stock camera app..
it work like a magic for me ! thanks
