Hello everyone, sorry I created a new thread for my comments but that's because for some reason, I was unable to post my response on the concerned page.
I just want to state here that I am a newbie to the Android world. However, this wonderful site helped me 110% to root, install custom recovery and flash my LG Optimus one ( P500 )... in just a few hours!
I now know so much about the Android OS and just can't thank the founders of this forum enough!
You all are blessed !!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy ihihihihiihih ))))))))
Everything assistance worked like a charm! I'm now having fun with Prime V2 rom
Peace Y'all
Fund of knowhow from xda forums
I agree with you. After buying the LG phone on a whim I was reading about various possibilities of modifying Android phones and I came across XDA Developers website. Soon I was hooked. I was reluctant to root at first then I got over that. After rooting what? Then taking the bull by its horns I flashed my first ROM - Megatron. I must have messed up somewhere during setting up recovery to do this as my phone got stuck in the Android loop at startup. Managed to recover by going to Emergency using 3 finger salute and then reflashing using KDZ then rooting etc. Finally I had Megatron and it was quite an experience to see the improvement in performance and overclocking. Then on reading a lot it was devoid v5 and v9 kernel. Moved up with this to new Devoid and kernel 16. Some of these worked fine upto about v13. Thereafter, there was a kind of maniacal rush to upload kernel after kernel - some of these were not properly tested before issue and I found that v16 and its variants gave me problems with random reboots and some hanging.
Finally got hold of the 2.3.3 version (leaked ROM v20A) and have been running Gingerbread for 1 week. Everything is smooth in performance but some things like phone app are slow in searching for contacts. Much slower than on devoid and kernel 16. All in all am reasonably satisfied. Now waiting for the official release and the sources so the hackers can get busy with tweaking the ROM and Kernel to death. We can then look forward to screwing up our phone as well .. as we get more adventurous it gets more and more dangerous that we will brick our phones...
LG Nitro HD Repository
I've noticed that the repository in the Dev section doesn't really get updated very often. So, I'm making a new one that I will keep updated as new ROMs/Mods and root methods come up. If you don't see a ROM/Kernel/Guide listed, let me know and I'll get it on there.

Awesome job. I was thinking about putting an updated repo together for our section, but I decided against it, but yours is great.
Now, I have some constructive criticism and/or ideas for you which you can decide to either use, or ignore.. but here are some of my thoughts.
(I've included info, followed by a link, followed by the bb-code for simple addition to your list, excluding formatting (you can add that :highfive: )
From what I've seen, most of the best roms we have include Adreno libs and GPU Driver Update, so I suggest adding them:
I personally recommend the GPU Update if using CM10.1 (or roms based on it):
Update (GPU) (KGLS) drivers
HTML:
Update (GPU) (KGLS) drivers
The Adreno 220 drivers should be a useful addition, even just for dev purposes if nothing else:
[Driver] Qualcomm S3 Adreno 220 GPU ICS Flashable Update {UnSigned}

[Driver] Qualcomm S3 Adreno 220 GPU ICS Flashable Update {UnSigned}

And I also suggest including some of the available p930 dev information that you've missed:
Might be obsolete, but might want to throw it in:
[DEV] LG-P930 Source Code- Let the deving begin!
HTML:
[DEV] LG-P930 Source Code- Let the deving begin!
HO!NO! Has a good intro guide to dev for p930:
How to Dev for P930

Also seem to be missing V20e Telus Stock by HO!NO! , or it may be improperly labelled:
[ROM] HO!NO! P935 Telus Official V20e CWM-Flashable!

It may also be a good idea to include some popular themes and apps.. I love the MIUI x4 Apex/ADW/Go theme, and the Touchwiz 5.0 theme for CM10.1 and there are also several very useful threads, and information in the Android Development and Hacking sub-forum.. Might want to take a look there, and include some of the good info provided there.
As I mentioned above -- and this is just a thought -- I suggest simply copy/pasting the thread title instead of the way you have some of the roms, and such labelled; as they are somewhat misleading to a native English-speaking person (me), so I imagine people less fluent in English may have more trouble finding exactly what they're looking for via this thread. Again, as I said everything I've suggested here are simply that - suggestions. I am not trying to tell you what to include, or how to make a thread, and I hope my tips are useful to you.
Thanks again for taking the time to put up an updated repository, and taking on the responsibility of keeping a thread updated for our section of these awesome forums.
Thanks NFleck! I've added the ones you listed to the repository. I'll go through and find the popular apps and such when I have more time.

No? They're for the lg p930.. With some being ported to the korean model.
Never heard any mention of being compatible with the lg spectrum.. Although with the same processor/gpu there could be some cross-compatibility. I'd look in that sub-forum for dev...

I'm terribly puzzled
I've have spent 16-19 hours on my computer trying to find the best Rom for my LG Nitro HD. I have explored each and every thread above read and studied the comments one by one, over and over again trying to find a good and stable Rom. probably one that works fine. fast and smooth. I'm a complete android noob, android is not common were I'm from in Africa. People here prefer Blackberry and Nokia Asha phones so all I have is you guys to help me. I know there is no perfect ROM out here, there is always one issue or the other. when i was going through the threads i got confused so confused that i cant make any decision. I have not installed and tested any Rom before. I don't want to risk and use my phone for experiment. I use LG Nitro HD AT&T Unlocked. Please guys tell me which Rom that has Good-Normal battery life, sensitive digitizer, smooth and fast, less random crashes, application compatible, Bluetooth and data working, camera and 1080p video recording working and most of all does not require unbrick process. May not be as good as what i listed above but anything close to that will be well appreciated. Please help a brother. You guys are way far better and experienced than I am. I know how to install Roms, Root ETC. dont need to teach me. Please all I need is suggestions.

I'll hit the most important point first; the need to unbrick. If you are running Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) then you will not have to unbrick; merely flash CWM once you are rooted. If you are running an official 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, I regret to inform you that you will indeed be required to unbrick. No way around that and it's really not as hard as it looks.
My answer is going to be quite general as the important qualities are fairly static from ROM to ROM. That being said, the ICS and CM9 ROMs will likely be your best bet as far as stability and battery life go. CM10 and up seem to be fairly stable as well but go through battery much faster than ICS. For the most part, the other qualities you have listed are quite close to being equal across the board. Some may be smoother than others, but in my honest opinion, the differences between ROMs - outside of battery life and 'bells and whistles' - is negligible and tends to come down more to personal preference.

Thanks for the reply. I'm running Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread)/ Rooted. did CM9 Roms Eliminated the the Lag that comes with LG Nitro HD. I noticed that the phone doesn't run so smooth compared to other dual core phones (Skyrocket, ETC) and the screen digitizer does not register your touch so easily. Did any of these Rom tackle the matter? I'm ok with just the normal Battery life. I'm thinking of Liquid Nitro. On your opinion Does it seem to work for you?
Greetings. I'm coming from an Epic 4g touch. I was fairly comfortable rooting, flashing, tweaking, etc... on that phone. I just convinced Sprint to give me a "free upgrade" to the S3 because I went through 4 E4GTs in a year (lots of build-quality issues, I think I had them all...)
Anyway, the S3 I was given is a refurb ... how do I find out if it's one of the "newer" models that might have trouble with some flashing operations? If I do have one of the newer ones, is there a way to work around the issue? (From what I understand it's something with the bootloader, correct?)
Also, the S3 "landscape" is a little different here. Are the Odin one-clicks a good way to root on this phone? Also is this method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2286241) a good way to go if I want to root from my Mac? I also have access to a windows machine if there's no "good" Mac-based way, but it's a clunky old laptop that makes me cry whenever I need to use it.
Finally ... as someone coming from the E4GT, is there anything special I should know about hacking around with the S3?
I've been poking around the threads quite a bit, but it's a little difficult to know what's current info etc... Thanks in advance ... can't wait until I know as much about this phone as I did with my E4GT.

Also all your questions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38172219
also there's nothing changed in the bootloader but the new S3's have some type of safety placed in them that do not allow custom recovery to mount storage. Awesome, thanks ... successfully rooted. Figured I'd try the TWRP recovery option since ... hey might as well try ALL the new things.
Ok, now which ROM is most stable and has the best battery life? (woah, woah, put that down I was just kidding)
Seriously though, what are some kernel, rom, tweak combos that folks seem to be having success with? I see you guys have Goddly's comadose over here, I used that with great success on the E4GT. Is there a favorite "close to stock" but debloated, mildly tricked out and tweaked ROM that folks are gravitating toward? On the E4GT, Tdundam's recalked was pretty popular ... anything of that ilk here?
I've also read that some folks have been having trouble installing AOSP ROMs ... is that demon exorcized by rooting with the procedure you suggested?
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to be a guidepost ... just trying to whack my way through the weeds on this new device.
Nope aosp won't flash on new S3's but you can try. lots of good roms I recommend either TPR the peoples rom or MOAR. My kernel of choice is Ktoonsez KT747 kernel and I use Comadose tweaks. Have had great success with it but also visit Team Kernelizers thread also.

Flashed MOAR yesterday ... waiting for it to settle in. So far, I like what I see! Lots of flexibility.
I installed with KT747 and applied some of the kernel tweaks in his thread for the ktoonservative governor and bfq scheduler.
I'll wait on Comadose to see how this settles in on its own. Thanks again for getting me flashing this phone.

Tried this ROM love it but no data I liked dirty unicorns for awhile but data has never worked on this phone virgin mobile BTW. I researched and learned and tried different things. While looking at the build props of this ROM and various different cm, and liquid smooth ROMs which data works on with my phone. Those were very similar. I noticed they were different from dirty unicorns so I rewrote certain parts of the build prop to match the others and DATA WORKED when I put it all back together and flashed it but its choppy now it cuts in and out I've checked out the DU thread but there's no new info not even about this it was suggested earlier in the thread but immediately dismissed i cant post on the thread because i dont have ten helpful posts yet so i cant communicate wirh dastin about it but he seems busy so i dont know how far that would go. There was a post concerning a fix for this, however @dastin1015 is currently busy. If you're familiar with building ROMs, you could email the DU crew and ask for permission to work this phones version of the ROM. I could post the build pros for you. You could PM dastin also.
I'm not familiar enough with building ROMs just mess around in my spare time if you could link to the post I could try that this is my favorite ROM but I use cm 11 now i pick up the latest nightly once a week.

I love it. Most flashes fail on this device, so I was stoked when this one went swimmingly.
The only bug I see is often when I open folders on the home screen. The folder animation happens but the opened folder is very transparent.
I can't post a screenshot because I'm a new user, but I have one if anyone PMs me.
