[Q] How to revert to stock from CM10? - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

I rooted my INC2 and installed CM10, but it's not stable enough for my needs and I would like to revert to the stock ROM. Any suggestions on how to do that?

http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390034591667978552 put this ROM on the sdcard, rename to PG32IMG , and install from bootloader

[Q] can i root stock?

Can i root my phone and just keep stock ROM ? I just want to wait for new roms to be released on new base...
Yea rooting always leaves you stock first. Its always an option to flash a custom ROM.

Stock inc2 kernel?

Flashed a kernel that doesn't like my phone and won't let me activate wifi. Anyone have the stock kernel for me to flash? s-off on 2.3.3 stock ROM.

You should probably flash a stock ruu or a ROM that has the stock kernel built into it like sabotage stock .

What was the kernel that you flashed?
Just wipe delvik cache and reflash the rom u are using if it came with the stock kernel and you will have it back without having to redo everything

On stock ROM and reply don't want to mess with glassing other roms. used to but I like the stock sense and really don't have time to keep up with updates anymore.

how about andyBONES stock rom? It's based of the latest OTA, not debloated, just plain rooted stock.

I'm sure you would have to, luckily amon ra is a great recovery utility and creates nandroid copies of your stock Rom on command, I have yet to try reverting to my stock Rom, but I can tell you this I restored a nandroid of my stock with no problems, but read my signature... S-off is why I can with no issue, not sure why as I am new to this also.

No, you have to be rooted.
Rooting is the easiest part.

Just take your time and follow all of the directions, only on the root link no need to rush you.

You flash whatever ROM you want over whichever ROM. JB, ICS has nothing to do with it.

Amon_RA does not make a recovery for the Galaxy Nexus. And there is no such thing as "S-OFF" for Samsung devices.

You either need root, or an unlocked bootloader. If you don't have one of the two, then no.
Didn't realize this was in the nexus section, must have been moved or my mistake, you seem knowledgeable with the nexus, please help him further.

Updating stock rom?

I have TWRP on my phone. I got the stock 4.1.2 ROM. Is there any way I can just download something to upgrade it so I don't have to reinstall all my apps and redo everything on my phone? Or will I just have to install a fresh ROM. I wanted to get a direct answer so I don't mess my phone up.

[Q] Bootloader and AOSP Roms

I've been reading that the leaked kitkat touch wiz Roms have a new bootloader and you cannot flash back. My question is, do kitkat AOSP Roms have this new bootloader as well? I want to flash an AOSP Rom but don't want to get stuck.

Unsure what they mean by stuck... Flashed latest cm and decided I didn't like it and just restored my latest cwm backup which was to jedi and I have had no issues. Would love an explanation too.

Thanks for the reply, what I mean is I've read flashing a tw kitkat Rom with the new bootloader prevents you from flashing back to a 4.3 Rom (what I meant by stuck). I was wondering if the same would happen if I flashed a kitkat AOSP rom. Seeing as you were able to flash back I guess my question is answered.

Custom ROMs like CM don't flash bootloader changes, so you can go back if you want.
Official TW ROMs flashed via Odin or OTA update typically contain bootloaders.
These are the ones that you want to avoid.
