Even though I have power saver off ky F240S will automatically auto dim at 5% battery life left.
Can this be disabled?

[Q] Battery Drain

Hi all,
i'm new with DHD, i flashed Revolution rom and i have high battery drain.
I charged my phone untill current was 0 mA, deleted the battery info and reboot.
So i turned on only data connection and leaved about 8 hours sleeping.. from 10pm to 10am all sync are off.. the result is: -25%!!!
I'm trying to find the batterykillerapp but i can't do it!
If i type the code *#*#4636#*#* i can see only battery info, no battery history, if i try using Spare Parts the app crash
how can i find the app that sucks my battery life?

Go back to the thread and look for the radio recommended for the rom. I'm pretty sure these radios are the main reason for battery drain
OR
What do you mean by battery drain? if it goes down fast when you're using your phone. That's not battery drain at all.
You can also go to OC daemon and set governor to ondemand so that the CPU doesn't stay on higher clocks.
i mean that battery goes down fast when i'm not using the phone! -25% in a night
sleep governor is on conservative and wake governor ondemand

Make sure you have full battery before going into clockwork recovery and wiping battstat

Hi, is it possible to wipe batery stats without having root or custom roms installed? My battery drains very fast.
@niyesuh
When you enter Recovery , your screen will be black ,that means you don't have a custom recovery installed . You need to have Root & RomManager whit Clockwork Recovery installed in order to wipe battery stats .

Hey guys, something better with recommended radio!
I'm using the phone from 15 h 24m and i'm at 52%
I think there is still something to fix because in 8 of this 15 h the phone was in sleeping mode and the battery gone down around of 15%
From battery info in the setting menu i can see: Display (40%); System (15%); Standby (13%); Dialer (13%); Idle (12%); Voice Call (5%); Whatsapp (2%).
Any suggestion?

How much in percent do your phone drain per hour?
Mine drain about 1-2%/H
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
now 1-2% me too, so it's ok? but peeks in the log means that something run in sleep mode, so i would find this app and kill it to have better battery perform

These peaks that you speak of can be the radio unit trying to find good reception. Try turning the data, LTE 3G and edge, off and see if it drains slower! But I don't see anything wierd with your battery usage or battery

mhhh... i think you right! i'm by bedroom the reception is not so good and phone always skip between 3ITA and roaming.. i'll retry in another room with better reception

ok thanks for the help
I've got another question.. do you know what is better for the battery life? Should i charge it from 0% to 100% every time or trying to stay from 30-70% or if possible 40-60%?

Remember the thanks button
Well lithium batteries fell best if the are fully recharged once or twice a month and then charging just whenever you feel like it really! like from 30 to 76 percent. They do not need so much looking after.

[Q] Does this look normal? (Gsm Galaxy Nexus)

Does this Battery Use look normal? I'm mainly worried about "Android Os" keeping the phone awake the whole time. This is the first charge after the initial charge drained.
Looks pretty normal to me. Are you using Auto Brightness for your display? Big drain on the battery if so. Try disabling Auto Brightness and adjust the slider to about 20-30 percent and see how that works for you
Normal for first charge. Let it cycle a few times. Check under settings/developer options/apps---don't keep activities. If it is checked thn the OS will run a lot refreshing and deleting app data.
I'm not using auto brightness, just using the power control widget on the half circle mode. Nothing is active/selected in developer options.

[Q] School me on battery life (screenshots attached)

Is this the kind of battery life I should be expecting? Completely stock and running Juice Defender. Thanks!
It looks like you need to apply the "Cell standby" fix. That won't help your actual battery life, but it will help your reporting.
Everyone is going to be different depending on usage and signal strength.
Your battery usage isn't that bad, but when I was running ICS I would be able to get over 3 hours screen time and someimtes 20-24 hours total life.
It really varies based on your data usage. To extend battery life, then turn off unused data connections. Adjust your sync frequency, and limit push notifications. Network data coverage also impacts battery life, so in areas that have bad coverage, your phone is going to be searching for signal more often.
Use CPUspy as well and see if you phone is going to Deep Sleep when it should.
Here's a screen shot of CPUspy. Hope this helps!

Your phone is not going into Deep Sleep as it should which is causing the higher drain you're seeing. Post what is using battery stats. Also, try to reboot. You said you were stock, so it could just be a random program that didn't close and is running in the background.
I would check your sync settings too.

Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Yes please do.
You have a rogue app that is prevention your cpu from sleeping.
What gives?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
If your screen on time is not around 4+ hours then you most probably are not getting good battery life.
Post a screen shot from betterbattery with Processes and Since Unplugged as your parameters. Wakelocks are not the problem. You have an app constantly running that will prevent DS, so a Wakelock is irrelavent at this point.

Ya no dice on that one. Just charge it up and run it for a few hours and then pull a screenie of Processes and Since Unplugged. I wanna set what it shows for your Android System as that is your main culprit.
Some things right off that I see with this last screen shot. First, I don't think that your JuiceDefender is working properly. Usually there is a Red, Green or Blue dot in the upper right corner of the shield. This is an indicator of your radio state. Second, that Revamped Nexus S live wallpaper will munch your battery. It's cool and I own it too, but it does cause some issues with battery, not neccessarily wakelocks though. Third, that Battery Monitoring widget is eating it up too. Not sure if the icon on the top-left is for that or not, but if it is in the notification area, then it is polling and is not caching causing drainage.
Those are just what I am seeing from this last screen. I am more interested in the Processes/Since Unplugged screen shot. Charge up and go get some lunch/dinner (depending on where you are) and come back later on after and post it up.

When I use my cell all the day NOT on WIFI, I get around 3 hours screen time (auto brightness - brightness medium most of time)
When I use my cell all the day with WIFI, I get 5 hours screen time (auto brightness - brightness medium most of time)
do I have a problem with my battery ?

[Q] Does anyone know how to turn off the LED light?

I think the LED light drains my battery too much when the screen is off
any way to turn it off ?
Are you on ICS or JB? I thought on ICS there was a direct setting but can't remember what option under System Settings. Maybe "More Settings"?
If you're on JB, can you do it through Settings -> Blocking Mode?
I think "lightflow" from the playstore gives you the option to turn it off
Think it depends on what ROM. What do you have enabling the LED when screen is off? From what I have read around here it really doesnt drain battery.

Should work. This way, you can disable all LED indicator all the time or for a selected period of time -- i.e. during the night.
More LED options are available in Settings -> Display -> LED Indicator, you can select which type(s) of LED indicator you want to activate or not (charging, low battery, notifications, and voice recording). It may then be interesting to configure these settings in conjuction with the blocking mode.
But that's on stock ROM. It might be different in CM10.

The S3's flashing led has negligible battery drain. (my experience)
I am using Light Manager app on a Stock ICS rom in normal mode blinking rapidly and have done the A/B tests to confirm that it is the least of your worries. I am a battery saving nut and have lots of experience with this.
But I would say, that some LED control apps have been known to cause heavy battery drain both to wakelocks and/or just the way they handle the switching.

[Q] Battery Drain or its normal?

Well today i noticed that the display of my phone is eating the 57% of the battery....I have jelly bean 4 1.2 stock rom and rooted woth the perseus kernel...I have disabled auto brightness and i have the brighness on the half...please see the attached photo...
The screen will almost always consume way more than anything else on the phone. If your screen on time is 1,5-3 hours when you capped that screenie, your battery life is perfectly fine.
