Hello,
I use FireFox and NoScript, if I allow xda, the page constantly refreshes, I mean, refresh, refresh, no pauses.
Certainly I'm not the only one experiencing this?
Oh, I turned OFF Ghostery as well, same thing.
I use NoScript without problems. I have both xda-developers.com and googleapis.com (used for some JS stuff on the forums) enabled.
Are you sure it's not another addon conflicting? Try starting FF in safe mode, and enable addons one by one.
I have the same issue. I block all scripts on this site by default. However, if I let xda through, it just refreshes... refreshes... refreshes.

I just got a Tilt 2 the other day, and this is my first HTC phone. I love it so far, but I am having an issue of not being able to login to any site in the any either opera or IE. It either tells me the login in incorrect (which it is not) or that my session has expired, without ever actually logging in.
I tried to install skyfire, but it will not even run, just returns errors and closes.
Anyone else have/had this issue or know what the problem might be?
I can not login to any site, I have tested 10 or so sites.
I have also tried putting both browers in mobile only mode, with no change.
I actually have two of these phones right now, and the problem is on both phones.
I have the same problem, specificaly with mesh. It states my cookies are expired, even after clearing all cookies, history and browser cache.
I take that back.
Logins for things like cpanel/plesk/billing scripts (whmcs, ect) and web scripts such as WP or Joomla and even Kayako don't work. But I can login to sites like ESPN/Sportsline, ebay, ect.
I take it there is something missing from these mobile browsers that is not passing along the proper info to these scripts that does not allow them to be logged in.
I finally got skyfire to work, but the same logins fail in that browser also.
I even tried to install the beta of mobile firefox (can't remember the code name now), and it was horrid, worst mobile browser I have ever seen.
There has to be a way to change cookie settings or something to allow these type of script logins.
Over the last few days, the forum has been unreadable with Firefox (on Win7). Every forum page constantly reloads. To be able to scroll, click a link, or anything else, I have to click the "stop" button. And I even have to time that just right or it either still reloads the page again, or it stops before it loads any content so I just have a blank white page. I did not update Firefox between the page working and not working correctly. I have since updated it, but no change. I have killed all of my add-ons (just NoScript and a couple web development based add-ons) and it still does it.
I can browse the forums in IE, but even there I notice the "xda" logo on the IE tab flashes between the logo and the reloading circle symbol.
Is it just me, or is it something with the site? This is the only web site I'm having any problems with.
All fine here on Windows 7 and Firefox.
Once I load an actual post (such as this one) the reload issue stops. It only happens on the levels up from this one.
mother ****ing win
Yeah it was giving me issues too but in ubuntu, so I went to look for another browser.
When I stumbled upon this:
I have been having the same issue. I read a few days back that someone thought there were issues with NoScript in Firefox. I wish someone would respond and fix or suggest a fix.
In the meantime, I either use Chrome or switch back to the 2010 theme for XDA in Firefox, and they work fine (though I would prefer the 2013 beta theme if it were working).
Every time I visit XDA I have to login despite checking the remember me option, is it normal? It's the only site I have this problem with.
My browser is Firefox 18, tried cleaning cookies etc.

That used to happen to me, then I played around with my firefox privacy settings to keep everything until I close firefox and while I have it open it remembers it fine.
I'm on Chrome (latest version) and it happens to me as well. Can the devs look into a fix?
There is already a thread about it..

Check there for possible solutions and your issue might be same..

Falling Doesn’t Make You a Failure, Staying Down Does
For the past few months XDA has started making me login every single time I visit the site. This is the case on multiple computers, including a new one purchased 3 days ago. I've tried various browsers and set every one of them to "remember password". Yet, no matter what computer I'm on or what browser I'm using I have to manually login each time.
I looked in settings and can't find any check box that might resolve this. At this point I don't know what to do and am looking for pointers. Any ideas?
But its working fine for me in Home & office.
Do u have the same issue with other websites?

I do not. All other forums have auto login working just fine. For some reason XDA is the only one that makes me constantly login. Obviously not a huge deal just annoying after a while.

Look at the bottom of the page. What theme is it using. I have this issue as well if I use any theme other then 2010
Works fine for me on Chrome, but not Firefox.
I have the same issue. Using Firefox (currently 20, but the problem was also with a few older versions) on Fedora Linux.
Using cookie manager, I see that the cookie for forum.xda-developers.com named "xdaloggedin" is set to expire In a short time (for example, currently it is set to expire on 2013/04/25:00:18:37.
Same symptoms here. Using Firefox 19. "xdaloggedin" cookie set to expire in 13 minutes, 26 seconds and counting...
Same issue here
Yesterday I was prompted to login to XDA twice. This morning I wasn't. There doesn't seem to be any consistency: yesterday it seems to have forgotten about me within an hour or so, yet it "remembered" me overnight...
Is there a contact we should be reporting this to, rather than mumping about it on a thread?
I'm going to flag an admin as I'm facing the same issue with Firefox
I've tried to recreate this (on Chrome/Firefox) but wasn't able to recreate any problem.
Make sure to check off the "Remember me" - this sets a cookie which should remember you after you close and reopen the browser. Otherwise you may be "logged out" after 15 minutes or when you close the browser, which is the session length.
Are you guys running any plugins that might be impacting this?

I get it as well but only when I use chrome. My default FF never did it unless I was using the new theme layout. As longer as I used one of the older theme's it never happens.

Maybe try deleting all your xda cookies and then logging in again. Could be a case of file corruption.
Chrome 28.0.1500.29 beta-m here.
After deleting browser cache and cookies I haven't been able to auto-login the forum anymore. Moreover I am unable to change the skin (it doesn't happen anything!) and I am unable to hide the menu on the right of the thread.
Thank you!
I am facing auto login even I close my chrome
you settings have some wrong
It's been a while since I posted (I usually read more than post), and I had to turn off a few things I normally keep on to protect my web browsing. I was wondering if there was a specific list of settings to manipulate to make XDA work properly.
Today, I had to disable uBlock Origin to be able to post. I had to allow scripts from several domains to be able to post and search the forum. It wasn't exactly obvious what I needed, and for the forum search you have to allow cloudflare before you can allow the search provider.
I can't recall a time I've had to disable uBlock before I could interact with a webform either.
Is there a list of minimum scripting and ad domains?
How are ad networks' scripts/ads related to be able to post?
Reading the forum works fine with no scripting allowed, and ad blocking turned on. I block scripts and malware to prevent malvertising and malware infections.
Same issue with me today. Looks like XDA is using a new login form/method and now I can't login easily like I used to.
I'm using UBlock Origin with Vivaldi. If I delete ALL cookies and try to login, the login process doesn't complete successfully. If I turn off UBlock Origin for XDA-Developers OR I whitelist the site, I still can't login. If I do that and delete all cookies, still can't login. The ONLY fix is to disable Ublock Origin completely, delete all cookies, then I can login OK.
So it looks like XDA has some sort of script that detects if adblockers are in use. Even if you whitelist the site in the adblocker, you can't seem to login properly. I also have anti-adblock killer userscripts and extra integrations with Ublock Origin and I guess neither of those are doing its thing on XDA.
