Is there a way to just change the app drawer icon on the stock launcher? I don't really want to replace my launcher, just the little icon that has the 6 dots with a circle around it.

Hey guys do you know if there is an app coming out that displays the number of unread notifications on the app icon, for jelly bean?

Try GO Launcher EX with the GO Launcher EX Notification plugin.
Both Nova & Apex have the feature, might only be with the paid version though.

This is what I was going to suggest, I know with Nova you have to download a "plug-in" app for the function.
Well I tried go launcher and I didn't like it, I will look into nova, I am considering developing it my self as I am a programmer so we will see how this works out first

Personally I'm using Nova Launcher (free).
I hope you can develop it as good if not better as Nova Prime (paid) and make it available for FREE
I will see, next week I'm ordering my laptop so gotta wait for that to arrive

So I'm going to build my own indicator, because just for notifications you shouldn't have to pay and the two options (nova and apex) are a little laggy on my phone :/

Bit of a noob questions, is it possible to change the Settings Screen Icons to look more like the Galaxy S3 Settings Screen, the Nexus 4 icons a very mono, want coloured icons.
I guess I would have to root the Nexus 4?
Thanks
If your rooted, just apply a theme u can download from play store. There's actually a theme called Touchwiz which is exactly what you are looking for

No problem. Pls use the thanks button

You can also apply icon themes through a third party launcher like nova or apex without the need for rooting.

Does anyone know of a mod i could apply that sets a little 1 in the corner of the icon, like HTC sense or go launcher has. Really miss that feature from HTC and am so over adding a desperate launcher.

i know AOKP has this option in their rom control settings if you consider flashing another rom.

He said he wants icon count like go launcher.
..
I have no idea why you would want a mod that does something that a launcher can already do.
I cant imagine there would be a mod for it either. Its like trying to find a mod that makes the power button turn the screen on and off.

I want it for the aesthetics. I am happy with my theme and home screen. Don't want another launcher. I compromised with lock screen notifications. I find this even better cuz now i don't even have to unlock my phone to know whats up when I've been away from my phone for a bit.

Yeah the xda app removes the transparency layer.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
In your browser, click the icon picture. Save the icons from the popup picture viewer. Long press the icon and save. It keeps transparency.
i noticed the phone icon edges was not pretty. Here is a pretty a version. I was bored so I re-created it in ps (vector). If you need a bigger size or better quality, PM me. xda image uploader is not friendly with png.
Very coooooool

Droid-Life just posted some KitKat icons/wallpaper/UCCW widget.
Here's the link:

I didn't test this, because I am on MIUI, and I have no backup. Can anyone test this vrtheme out and tell me if phone and app drawer are properly replaced with 4.4 icons and kit kat wallpaper is added to the stock wallpapers?
You have to be in stock launcher
Thanks!! If it works I will create another thread so everybody can see it Waiting your answers!!!
Looks good, I may give these a go over Nox for a few days and see how I like them.
Looks nice
It looks pretty cool thanks :good:
