Im using cyantux(the newest version) but my player is really quiet, tried with other music players but the same. I saw there is something like Raccoon optimizer but i dont know how to use it. So if someone could help me?
Im writing here because i dont have enough posts to ask in the original thread.
Racoon Audio is an alternate to default DSP manager. 1st ensure that u have DSP/Racoon Audio. If u don't see it's icon in App Drawer, then to use it, u must use a player that supports invoking DSP/Racoon Audio effects(Cm7 player is the best choice). Moreover, the Compression (1st option in DSP/Racoon Audio) works only if u open DSP/Racoon Audio from within the player options itself...
A bit typical but the info is legal to my consent.
Hope this helps...!!!

Hi there,
I have Samsung I9000, updated recently to Froyo and wanted to use Flash Player (latest updated version) to listen to some internet radio stations available only in flash player version (hrt.hr/streams). So far so good, but....
when I want to switch to some other app - the player stops working. In other words, as long as I want to listen to a flash player radio stream - I can not use my phone for anything else (like reading a book or...).
Any idea how to make flash player work in background?
Thanks for any /all help.
Pavana
Got the same problem here..
haven't found a solution yet.
But it's not only a flash problem.
You can open media from the browser using the Android Video Player,
but when you want to go back to the site, check your messages or w/e
the video has to stream all over again/doesn't continue when you leave the window.
+1
same here..
I'm not an expert here but think the problem is how android os works.
when u switch app (in focus) all other apps are paused.
Unless the app is made not to pause (like music player)
So don't think there is a way really.
I love the stock music player that came with my galaxy s because of it's ability to play music in 5.1 ch.
However, I have now flashed the latest MIUI to my sgs but the music player is not able to play music in 5.1 ch, so I was wondering if anyone of you guys know an app that can do this?
Thanks
5.1ch is just a sound effect. You can get it on any player app with basic tweaks to the equalizer settings.

Ah, I see. Does anyone have any tips on how to achieve this with an eq?
Sent from my Computer using My Keyboard
With 5.1ch people usually mean that instead of stereo (which is 2 channels, left + right) you have 4 additional channels (Center + Back left + Back Right + LFE or Bass (.1))
Your phone only has one speaker so I'm not sure how you want to achieve this.
The audio output is only capable of sending out stereo as well.
A source file with multi-channel audio is usually in *.vob format (DVD video format) but I know of no player that will show this on Android (except for the Archos Gen8 stock video player).
Audio only files would typically be in *.wav or *.ac3 format but same here, I know of no player that will play these multi-channel streams.
Perhaps I misunderstood your question?

The stock galaxy s music player was able to simulate 5.1 ch (when headphones were plugged in) which provided a very nice boost in sound quality. What I'm looking for is either a port of that music player to MIUI or another music player that is able to do the same thing (or some eq settings that does it would also be fine).

I have yet to find one that actually installs on my phone
That option is a load of bull XD.When you listen you only have 2 speakers assuming you are using earplugs which makes 2.0 the highest you can achieve. You shouldn't bother about it... just a stupid tweak that imho makes the sound sound worse...
your comment is a load of bull.. no offence here. But the guy is asking for something dont tell him if its bad or not. He likes it other people like it some dont like it you find it bull. But he doesnt comment you on that does he?
----
And yes i find the sound nice to. And like other people said there are ways to get this trough EQ settings but so far i havnt got it the same as the stock player one

All I was saying that the option is stupid and it's fake it doesnt provide 5.1ch surround sound and I thought he was thinking that and I was helping his out of his dream (read his 3rd post... this is the case here..). If this is the case my comment is valuable if this isn't well.. he'll just do nothing with the information... It's a win anyway, he has nothing to lose, playing around with a EQ is way better ;/. Install voodoo sound tbh if you want a good musical experience...

The 5.1ch option was not stupid, even though it was fake. It made the sound much clearer and better on all headphones I used.
Will look into voodoo sound, thanks for the tip.
I had 5.1 available when I was using a gingerbread version I got from here. Now I can't seem to find one Pretty sure it was Calkulon or something along those lines. It was way better sound (with headphones) in my opinion, so I'm trying to find a current version that will deliver that "fake" surround
Epic touch 4g sprint running 4.1.2
On a side note, I got Jellybean using a vid a watched from QBking77 on youtube, and he references you guys alot.
There are some bugs with Jelly Bean... For instance my mic cuts out when I hold the phone to my face and the screen goes off. Bluetooth headset... NOT A CHANCE lol. On speakerphone i can talk just fine. Headset, works great too. Sometimes I have to pull the battery because the screen dims. But for the most part, it works great.
While browsing through the the default music player I checked on various sound enhancements of my One X, it had the beats and usual presets, but then I noticed that it does not have HTC enhancer (I believe it is called SRS on other phones like on my Desire HD and HD7).
Whats funny is that this preset is present on the default video player (along with the beats preset).
I actually prefer this preset compared to the beats or any other preset and I was wondering if it was possible to enable it on the default audio player or any other 3rd party audio player (currently using Ubermusic).
Headphones
To use the sound presets you have to be using headphones, it should then appear in the settings but probbably only in stock music/video apps. Although once changed should effect every app!
Yeah, I am aware that would be the way to do it, but my question is how to get the HTC SRS enhancer on the default audio player (or any other player) as it is available in the default video player (Why put it in the video player in the first place?).
Im assuming HTC thought people wanted the beats preset over anything else when listening to audio. I would have wanted the choice on using the SRS one as I feel the sound is more clean and surround.

you may need to edit an .apk file in the system and the framework.jar. I know the file is srs_trumedia_51.cfg in /system/ect/soundimage.
It would be awesome if someone did make it work for music.

ty for linking my thread
BassMod is nice but currently only works for the included music app doesn't work with stock but does work well and has the srs thingy bobber.
DSPManager works with both headphones/speakers and with any app, but you don't get srs.
i would try both i'm currently using BassMod to test out.

then you would need to mod the stock music app, it used to have a "htc enhancement" but that seems to be removed.

The code to enable the HTC Enhancer is either in the HtcSoundEnhancerSetting.apk or HtcMusic.apk however I suck at finding things
gonna wait until someone can find the right codes
It really is frustrating that it is available on video players but not on music players. I'll take what I can get, whether it be a music player, equalizer manager or modified apk. It seems I'm not the only one who misses the punch SRS does.
why the game called "agent dash" its music fx is screwed up on CM9?

1. Latest CM9?
2. Which kernel?
3. Any Mods/Tweaks?
4. Background apps?
Edit: Out of curiosity, I installed Agent Dash. Indeedy, the Sound FX and Music are mangled beyond all recognition. Since (1) my ROM is Pristine, and (2) other games have no problems with sound, I deduce that the problem is with the game itself.
I've sent a support ticket to the game's publisher, and they explained that it's 'a known problem' with CM9, and they're working hard to find a solution, possibly in the next 1 or 2 updates. In the meantime, they recommend to 'lower the volume' because some players seem to have fixed the problem by doing so.
so i was right
thank you Pepoluan for your marvelous help and support
Love this device, but there's two things left on my list of things to update/modify which I'm stuck on.
I rooted the device
went through the Xposed catalog
updated to KitKat
downloaded a bunch of apps like Dropbox, Google Drive, Coursera, emulators, games, synced all my e-mail/social accounts, etc. etc.
bought the Samsung OTG adapter to connect a 1TB external HDD (Game of Thrones Seasons 1 - 3!)
Later I plan on getting a controller and keyboard for games and productivity.
So the basis for this entire post;
The last 2 things I'm trying to get on my tablet is flash and Viper4Android.
My GSIII on PacRom (4.3) has flash enabled using an older version of Dolphin Browser (allows me to watch full episodes of the Colbert Report/Daily Show on Comedy Central). Also, Viper4Android works flawlessly.
I can't seem to find a solution for my Note 2014 tho.
My main questions are does anybody here know how to enable flash and install Viper4Android on the Note 2014?
What I've tried so far;
trying to enable Flash
-downloaded Dolphin/Boat/other flash enabled browsers after dl'ing the recommended files from Adobe's official website
-use the old version of Dolphin the same way my phone has it
trying to install Viper4Android
-install to System/apps then another suggestion to install from System/priv-apps (all permissions set as suggested)
-followed a few guides that talked about editing build.prop (found a solution for the Note 3, however, the lines required for me to edit weren't there on the Note 2014)
Mainly I don't expect my tablet to turn into an amazing sound system, but one of my minor gripes is that it's speakers are somewhat quiet. If V4A doesn't work for us, is there a sound hack to increase how loud we can set the volume (especially for movie watching, even MX Player's 200% sound increase is a little lacking for me)
Thanks! regardless even if there's no known solutions yet.
Here's your answer for flash, don't know about that other thing your asking....

Hit thanks if it helps.... Enjoy.
For V4A, extract the audio_effects zip and place the audio_effects.conf file in system/etc folder and set permissions. Enjoy!

This kind of works! Thanks! With one caveat however, I played a few songs using PlayerPro (bought the full version and is my preferred player) the stock Samsung Music Player, and Google Music Player; but it doesn't seem to fully function. Driver Status says Processing: No.
So I set the FX Compatibly Mode from Normal --> Compatible and selected Force Enable V4A.
Retested the three players on my tablet, and the Google Music Player has an audible difference. I tested this by putting the reverb to some ridiculous setting, and the Google Player was obviously audibly different, while Player Pro and the stock music app were the same. Can't check Driver Status in Compatibility Mode however, but it was clear GMP works with V4A while the other 2 did not.
So now, the problem changes from getting V4A to work (because it does with Google's music app!) to getting it to work with PlayerPro and universally across apps in general. Curious if there's anyway to do this? Im hoping to find a way to get V4A to work with MXPlayer and PlayerPro as well!

Make sure you delete or freeze MusicFX from your system. This will ensure that V4A is the default system sound equalizer. And of course make sure it's installed as a priv-app.
