Are you not running a TWiz ROM or CM or AOKP?

Running carbon right now. If I knew there were other ROMs that had dialer code functionality I'd have ran one of those.

There are no 4.2.2 roms with dialer codes that is a Samsung touch wiz thing .... there are dialer codes in aosp for use on Galaxy nexus etc but don't think they get into cm carbon etc

What I have been looking for is a way to swap .Prl files without swapping ROMs (I have to roll it back for the old Samsung generic 16 digit pass to work for CDMA tools to work).
Thank you.

Sort Contacts with N7105

I'm currently running firmware ZHALJ4 and for some reason I don't have a sort contact names option in the settings menu in the contacts app.
Am I missing something?

same here!! I didn't noticed this until 2 days ago my friend who just got a GS3 asked me how to sort contact list by last name...
then i went to a phone shop and checked 4 galaxy phones (note II LTE, GS 3 LTE, GS 3 and Note 1 LTE). none of them can sort contacts by last name (the GS3 is on ICS and others are on JB)
I installed of of the new ROM's at the sort by surname function is available again.

You can flash newer firmware using Odin without rooting. This solved it for me.

No, just Korean LTE
Pretty easy to do the edits. Smali isn't too bad to read, picked it up in minutes.
Now if I could get one of the pros to school me on why a simple little edit on systemui.apk is causing me fits. But that's another thread.

So what do I type into the dialer? I'm used to Sprint diagnostics for the nexus and I just got my note. I've tried to type in debug, etc but there seems to be no way to do that. I am on Macks Rom though.

I would check with the ROM dev you are running. It's not my place to fix and/or support something they undid due to very heavy modding.

I just have one question flashing this allows you to put custom prl ie like verizion? Are am I missing something completely. I guess what im saying is how does improve the functionality of the phone.

I flashed the LK8 and every time the phone booted I was getting the activation screen even tho I was fully activated. I flashed back to LJ1 and still was getting activation screen on every boot. Could this lock have caused the issue? Sprint replaced the phone!

Can ATT devs port your wonderful roms to tmo note 2?

If only I know how to port,
You guys have so many options to choose from, we only have like 3 or 4 to choose from and they are all TW
Hoping the wondering devs here can port like aosp, aokp, cm10, 10.1. Or even miui
It will be greatly appreciated!!
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
It would probably be better to ask your devs to port those roms. Since they know what files would be needed.

Hey studying up on this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018411 may be a good place to start. Naturally since this is a att forum the files to be inserted would come from an att ROM but I don't see why it wouldn't work if you substituted T-Mobile files in place of the att replacement ones wouldn't work. It will open up a bunch of tw based ROMs but it'll give ya a good learning experience for one day working in aosp if your interested in it. Hopefully some more people interject on this because I think it would be beneficial to all of our forums to get this solid.

cooking a rom / theming ports etc take time and we all have lives outside of xda. patience is rewarded

In most cases your modem is not effected by flashing our roms. You only flash a modem if you loose your data connection. Im not sure about kernels but I dont think that would effect anything either. Not on tmo so can't say fir sure.
Sent from my GT-N7105 using xda premium
People with TMo have been flashing CleanROM just fine. I can't speak for the other ROMs, but I'm pretty sure they're all on the same base...which isn't even an AT&T base
Ya I'm on clean Rom

There is a rom in the Verizon section called Jelly'Beans' rom that is a aosp skinned Samsung rom that is compatible with the At&t Note 2
I too having been wanting this for too long, There is Jelly Bean's for Verizon and NoWizASOPmod for Sprint but nothing for i317 AT&T. I am trying to use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069850 post for trying to port a ROM from CDMA to GSM without any luck. I love the look and feel of ASOP but love the touchwiz features.

I'm actually in the process of making a rom just like this for our phone, it's based off the latest n7105 firmware and uses faux's kernel. The system is about where I want it to be in size and speed, just need to get all the themeing completed and make sure all aosp apps run smoothly before I post to this forum :fingers-crossed:
If you scroll all the eay down and click on lte builds he has a beta build that he thinks will work on our Att notw 2

[ROM][4.3] OmniROM [PRE-ALPHA][UNOFFICIAL]

This is the pre-alpha thread of OmniROM for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (l900). More information can be found here.
This build is very bare bones at the moment. Don't let flashing this now turn you down from trying it again in the future, a lot of changes are coming soon. I would still consider this much more of a tester than a daily driver unless bare bones is your style. The rom is very smooth and fast though probably for that very same reason.

What doesn't work:
You tell me!
Installation method:
Wipe all if coming from another rom
Flash OmniROM
Flash GApps
Reboot
This rom does not come with root by default. Flash SuperSU in recovery if you want root!
Flash at your own risk! No one else is responsible if your device bursts into flames
To try out multiwindow, go to recents and long press an app. Click add to split view and repeat to add another app. Keep in mind its still buggy at the moment
Have fun and enjoy!
First
And I just flashed this. Liking it so far. I have been on TW for a while. May have to switch.

You can always use the xposted framework to add that back.
And the rom is cool right now but pretty lacking in settings.
Will this be moving to the development thread? Where should we watch for updates and report bugs?

How do you flash an AT&T rom on a sprint phone? I'm assuming there are differences between the same rom on different devices
Just found this ROM and I'm going to try it out but I wanted to ask if it's still being develop on.
What it do Slick Rick going try this I've seen other omni roms well into development not asking for an update just curious of the progression of the rom. So far so good looking forward to more to come.
