[Q] myONEv RC9.5 - question/ bug - HTC One V

I have a question, for user of the rom specified in the subject, as I am a new user on this forum, and I am unable to post on development forums.
Do any of you experience random freezes on incomming calls? Is it a common bug, or maybe reflashing should make it dissapear?
I have installed Sense 5 Lockscreen, and one sense 5 theme from the thread, also AOSP like recent app style.
@edit
I forgot to mention, it's lite version of rom.

Was on this ROM for about 2 months..the problem u mention happens but not often...if it happens to u quite often you should try reflashing the ROM with a full wipe...also such problems happen (if,maybe but i am not sure) if u restore data using recovery..
So this is just a minor bug ..
Good luck..

Hello!
In this rom works usb otg? I would like to connect keyboard

[Q] Desire Z [ROM] [Oct 18] Desire HD Sense v1.2 issues and themes

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1307330&page=9
^I am using the rom above and I have only got around 60-80 ram(they said that they have 100 mb= =)
BTW, are there any themes or skins for this rom? I've tried installing this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884888 and this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1028813 (I mean the apk) and none of them showed up in the skins list, I've tried rebooting and still nothing SOSAD
can anyone tell me,pls?
P.S:I am from hong kong and my desire z is also bought in hong kong, I wonder if there are any differences
The rom you flashed is not for the Desire Z. It is a Desire HD rom (different phone all together) and I'm not entirely sure how you even got it to boot. Anyway try flashing a rom that is for the Desire Z/G2, you can find them here on XDA in the G2/Desire Z development forums or you can download Rom Manager from android market and download them through that app

My apologies, you're right. Well the problem is still similar being a port of a rom without a keyboard and for a different phone there is gonna be broken features, so I would suggest maybe a rom built from a DZ/G2 source. Again, sorry about that, I hadn't had my coffee before I read your post. Good luck
Sent from my Bulletproof G2
Well there aren't any broken features now,and it is in fact brilliant and I like its sound output very much. I have also solved the ram issue now
What I want the most is some themes pls
Sent from my HTC Desire Z using XDA App
Well aside from using something like ADW Ex, Launcher Pro or Go Launcher and downloading a theme for whichever one you like, you could always go to UOT Kitchen (Google it) and bake up your own personal theme that's flashable in recovery. I'm sure there are other ways to theme your rom up too, like editing xml's, but those are pretty involved.
If you want to be able to easily customize everything about your rom, perhaps try one of the many miui.us builds floating around for the Desire Z. I've been on tun4fish's Bulletproof Miui build for a month now and I love it.
Sent from my Bulletproof G2
Well, I've tried bulletproof before and it's not bad,but I found that I am addicted to the sense roms.
Secondly, I already know how to use UOT centuries ago, so I want a rosie theme actually

most original-like rom

hello to all friends here.
I've been using this brilliant phone for 14 months and I'm still satisfied with it's performance. Tried many roms, with the help of xda pals.
Still using ARHD 7.0.2.
Most of the users know that there are some issues like video camera (none of the suggested solutions can fix my problem) and internet tethering with this rom.
Each custom rom has a different flaw for me.
The reason why I'm using custom rom is just recording my calls.
Only with a rooted DHD you are able to record your calls.(Thanks to HTC policies lol)
Let's keep the long story short; I'm looking for the most "original-like" ROM (no elimination of the functions), simple and just rooted the original like rom.
Can you make a suggestion for me?
Thanks in advance for your kind replies.
Regards
Well bub, this sort of question has been asked several times resulting with the same basic answers.
Do a search and see what suits you since it is subjective to the user. Read the op, flash, see what you like and need.

Dear friend,
I know how to use the seach feature of the forum.
Unfortunately, when I searched there is no exact answer.
If you wish I can send you the screen shot of the search results.
If you have a solution, please let me know.
Regards
Any solution friends?

Take a look in the development subforum. I recall seeing there the original roms for rooted devices (they don't unroot your phone if you flash them).
For me the best original like rom still is ARHD, if you like sense 3.0 it is 6.3.3, and if sense 3.5 it will be ARHD 7.0.4.
I never had any problem with this rom, yes I have read that some users had problems with camera and they got it fixed with Rcmix tweaks installed. This is only for 7.0.x users.
I'm still using 7.0.4 however it also have little flaws.
I could not solve HD recording problem in video camera. First I tried to flash tweaks by gerc, it caused bootloop and was like a nightmare. Then clean installed the rom again (with superwipe and other wiping options) and tried to flash 7.0.0 camera app, no success still fc...
Also there is a problem with USB cable internet tethering. No solution at all.
These two problems seem little but when you need those functions it really bothers.

I might be wrong but this is what i think
The 1st link you posted is managed by the CM developers, the second link is Tripndroid who based his/her/their rom on the base of the CM developers rom. Basically adding and removing tweaks that this person/team likes and dislikes
If your considering rooting and installing a custom rom. I can recommend the 1st link been using their roms for more than a month now and it's very good rom. If there is anything about sense that you like and will miss try the Sense roms. (Viper and ARHD) are the two major ones that i looked into, before settling on CM10.

hi there just adding to the above post. the first rom is developed with an ultimate goal of becoming the official CM rom, and is ready for everyday use soo far from my experience. The second one is Tripndroid, and he adds his own tweaks as far as i know. however i havent used his ROM yet to know for sure.

Hi there, I am running the ROM from the first post and it's brilliant. I have tried the second one and found it had quite a few bugs and was not nearly as finished as the first ROM. I am busy downloading alpha 5 now to try and am sure it will be just as great as the rest of his updates have been.
Thought I would give my info based on user experience of both ROMs. Also depends on what you looking for; quick ROM or fancy looking, awesome features or a stripped out version.
Well thanks guys, i think i'll go for the TeamNDVRu when i receive my phone, but still waiting september to see if it's worth it or not.
And what about the known issues ?
- Occasional soft-reboots with GPS On + Facebook ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=2184 )
- WiFi direct doesnt work
- MHL output is rotated incorrectly to portrait in horizontal mode (but workaround added since alpha 8 for hw decoded videos/youtube. Use bsplayer from playstore, almost all videos play with it in correct rotation in hwoverlay)
- No FM radio app in ROM. But Spirit FM works from market (it's commercial!)
- USB storage copies slower than normal
- Some paid apps loses settings/acconts due to this android jellybean problem: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=34880 Solution is to backup with Titanium Backup and restore to internal memory, not to sd

Some of them will only occur if you have special need for something. (e.g. wifi direct)
Some of them don't occur for everyone. (facebook+gps reboot)
None of them are really a huge concern if you are willing to try jelly bean. And for most of them there is a workaround, fix given in the text you quoted. I have a jelly bean rom installed and I have to say that I don't really feel any negative impact by those known bugs/issues. But do note, that most of these ROMs are not as stable as the 4.0.4 ROMs like ViperX.
I have been using tbaldens ROM and it has been quite good. The ones by trip I have found to be a bit unstable.

[Q] Turn ARC/S Rom to PRO Rom

Hey there...
I read trough the forum but havn't found anything that matches this topic... so i hope u can help me.
I just wanted to know how to turn an ARC/S rom into a PRO rom.
When i look at some multi-device roms, the differences between the devices are very small...
And i already managed to get an ACR/S rom boot and some kind of working on the Pro...
only thing doesn't work: the keyboard and the touchscreen (touch is working but not properly).
so: how do i make an almost "clean" port from an ARC/S Rom to my Pro?
PS: i hope my english is good enough to understand my problem xD
how to port a rom
Thank you... but that was not, what i wanted...
I know how to port roms...
i just wanted to know which files (modules etc) i have to copy/replace to make a pro rom out of an arc rom...
there must be a way, cause many roms are build for arc/s and then just some files are added so it becomes a pro rom...
The way you showed me means, that i already have a base rom which is working. But i want to use the arc rom itself.
thank you...

Then you should know which files you need, as you don't, perhaps some more reading of what's already available will help.
i already had some success.
but there is one thing, that is getting on my nerves... even if almost everything seems to work two things dont...
the mms.apk is crashing every time i try to launch it and the hardware keyboard isn't recognized correct.
means the SW-keyboard doesnt pop up because the system always thinks, the keyboard is out but is rotating the sreen correctly as i move the phone.
the problem with the keyboard is already known from the Slim Bean 3.10 Pro Rom. and i dont know where to find the correct things to change that.

[Q] Sense vs Original ROMS, stability

Hello, I'm currently on a Sense ROM (Revolution HD 15), I didn't had any problems so far but I want to upgrade to a newer ROM version.
How an original ROM is comparing to a Sense ROM in terms of stability? I'm using NOVA Launcher so I didn't really care about Sense UI.
what do you mean with original rom...do you mean pure android like CM or AOSP rom? there is also already revolution hd 20.1 out...try it out it's really fine

I mean AOSP, there are some nice apps that work only on 4.2
I don't really have much time to try ROMs that's why I asked. :good:

which apps do you mean work only with 4.2.2? and no one can say which is the best because you have to see it yourself because not for everyone kernel and rom are working the same...therefore if you have time try it

In my own experience, Sense ROMs have better battery life. Lots of Mods are available and we have great roms over there which are fast, stable and bug free.
But AOSP Roms come with lots of goodies. Especially PA Roms with lots of customization (Nice UI manipulations there). You will be able to feel the essence of Android. 4.2.2 is super fast and super smooth.
You may check it for your self, it's really hard to say in words! Everyone should try it once. Trust me!

I wanted to try DashClock Widget
I think I'll try latest version of Android Revolution.
From what I read I need to upgrade HBOOT. Can someone point me to a simple to follow step-by-step? (also I only have Windows 8 installed)
I don't know if it's me or installing a new ROM is so much harder than on Galaxy S.
Also I did a nandroid backup and I wanted to copy the back-up on my PC. I connected the phone via USB, and the clockworkmod folder was empty, I had to uploaded on Dropbox from my phone to be able to save it on PC.
