[Q] Wi-Fi Calling On AOKP

I have AOKP build 40 it works great BUT the only thing missing is Wifi Calling,

Will never happen unless there is some crazy kinda super dev team (which there is not) that will be able to build an apk that will be able to intertwined it into everything that is cm/aokp to give us all that bliss type of feature without using tw tmobile .. In the before times when it was just an apk that everyone rushed to port over maybe, but now...... That's gonna be a hellava no!

Serious question. Will this never happen because AOKP ROMS are built from scratch source code?

Thank you guys I think I might have to go back to Darkside V7 because i dont have service at work and i can use the wifi there. :good:

And because afaik, only tmo supports it. And since aokp is world wide.... yea not happening

Ya, pretty much the only option. My house is in a dead spot, a block away from full service with fast speeds. So I'm stuck with only being able to use roms with wifi calling myself. :|

Cm9 5 November

I gt a big problem wif the wifi on cm9 5 November.... I realize tht every time I turn my screen on.... The wifi is gone.... And I onli can receive notification when I am using my phone ... Anyone can Hlp me Plz? Anyway thx to jellaxy to release this rom.... Damn nice and smoothhhh

I post in gio section obviously I am using galaxy gio ~solved with the wifi patch~

By the Way, is the Wifi patch for the new cm9 only? Im running the new cm10, and never had any reboots or bluescreens. I wonder if I should apply the wifipatch anyway.

i dono.... but i think the bluescreen bug is jz for the cm9 and i know nth about cm10 coz i am running cm9 and that is jz AWESOME!!!!!!

What's up with my WiFi?

Hey guys' hoping someone has an answer..... I'm with wind mobile in Canada on the gnex yakjuux galaxy nexus, I did the hack to change it to a yakjux and install jellybean 4.2.1 which I am currently still on.... I am having problems with my WiFi however and I have tried different radios and ROMs but I still get same issue...
I turn on WiFi and connect
I have strong WiFi for a good 5-10 minutes' then my WiFi stops working
Eventually the WiFi symbol grays out as well as my cell connection, so they are both gray
I reboot and they are back to normal
On jop40d overdrive 2.4, baseband i9250xxlh

Are youbhaving any issues with other devices disconnecting from the WiFi? Or is it only your Galaxy Nexus?

Flash stock yakju 4.2.1 official factory images.
It mostly will solve the problem.
4.2 is currently buggy.

Having the exact same issue described in OP, agree this 4.2 has a lot of bugs. I already tried a factory reset

there is an issue with 4.2 and wifi, its quite widely known apparently, but then there are tons of people here who haven't a single problem at all.

I checked the Google link and edited my router settings to aes WPA only... They seem to think that will help... So I'll try and post back if it drops... Thanks
Edit : same issues and I am using a Cisco router

This is just silly... This is supposed to be a highbred sought after phone because of updates and hardware producer... And there are threads upon threads of WiFi issues.. I got my phone and went straight to 4.2.1 does any one know if ICS and earlier jb builds had same problems... And whether it is sw or hw related..?
Edit : this may sound stupid on my behalf, but I rebooted router... I haven't had any drops at all yet...

I tried many tricks without any success ... I wonder if it is related to the internet speed especially that while using my phone at work (extreme high speed connection) I have no problems at all - But at home with a regular high speed connection I have all the problems : can't open the play store stucked on loading, very slow browsing, network timed out ...etc.
Does anyone tried with a higher speed internet connection ? ... what speed are you getting on your phone when all these problems occured...

My wifi has similar issues. It will work for a random amount of time, then it actually kills my router (D-Link DIR615), requiring a power cycle of the router to get ANY internet working on ANY device...

That's my home network... I am on the xxlh1 radio.... Wow I've never had it work so well, I switch to aes, rebooted router and its been golden ever since... What type of router? I got so mad when my cell provider (wind) blamed router, but it was the problem after all... Everything else connected except nexus..

Stuck on 2G

Hi Guys, i have a problem with my Xperia S data connectivity.. Not sure if its the phone (hardware), firmware, or the network, so I was hoping you guys could help me..
Here's da problem, even with proper APN settings, the phone only shows an 'E' at the top..
Whereas there was previously an 'H', prior to flashing the Jelly Bean update..
If I try to put Network Mode on WCDMA only, the network drops dead..
If i try to manually register to the 3G network in Service Providers, itonly connect to the 2G, not the 3G..
Hope you guys can be of assisstance!! Thanks in advance..

Just forget official jb for now,wait for update,not a hardware problem though

Was running this bone stock and it lagged hard. Installed Tiberius kernel, and its as smooth as my galaxy s3. Charging issue was also solved. Thanks.

Alright I can do that when I get home from work tonight ....I have straight talk so I can't check WiFi calling ...and won't be able to check Bluetooth either sorry ..but yeah I'll check whatever else comes to mind.will report back tonight :beer:

Wifi calling and bluetooth should be fine. Ive tested those .. what I was wondering about was.. did all the system and preload apps show up and are functional. Likely they are but just thought since you're letting it go that a double check would be a good thing.

Yes you can but you will need to read more on the rotation fix.

Does anyone know how to get wifi calling working? I have the newest sim card (TM9177) and have activated and setup my 911 address. I know wifi calling works because it did work when I was on GB and ICS.
Now on Jellybean (this rom and the stock rom) I can't get it to work. Wifi Calling is stuck on "enabling"
