As of right now i can install any Rom from the T999 that does not require the new boot loader upgrade but i get a status 7 when i try to install the newer roms is there any boot loader for the T999L that supports the Roms

How would i do that
There are lines in the with in the roms.zip
meta-inf>com>google>android>updater-script>
assert(getprop("ro.bootloader") =="t999.......) and the three other bootloaders it checks for.
I'm guessing you can remove these lines and rezip and it will flash, but I am not going to do so, and don't plan on trying... I can remove those lines and rezip it for you to try and flash and see how it goes. I would put 20$ down that it won't harm the phone but not 600 (new) or 180 (insurance) lol.
Until someone else tries i will wait
I edit lines in there when roms fail to install cause they are specific to att, just incase anyone else really wants it, just post and let me know. I'm off til Thursday so I have time at some point each day to do so. if anyone with more knowledge wants to confirm let me know, so that there is more comfort to this.
If you could edit it out that would be nice and upload the new package that would be nice

Ohhhhh not possible yet. And if I remove those and it installs fine, you may still run into errors cause the CM team asks for people to be on the latest bootloaders to have it run no issues.
I'm sure your phone will be apart of the CM/AOSP builds soon enough.
Well I do have RC2 on it right now
That was before all the changes. My personal favorite

How did you install this? Did you edit the updater-script or did it just flash over?
I'm using TWRP on a T999L and am looking to go custom ROM with CM10.1, but am trying to find more info. I know that I can always go back since @DocHoliday77 & @MotoDefier got the stock ROM all squared away: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2308514

First of all a huge thanks to Team Sextape for the MC2 release. Thanks to Calkulin for use of the install script. Thanks to Chainfire for SuperSU.
Flash this to get Deodexed/Odexed stock MC2 with latest root (SuperSU), su binary and Busybox 1.20.2. These Do Not include a kernel or any other firmware.
All of the zips wipe cache and dalvik for you so no need to do that separately.
I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone. You do this at your own risk.
I DON'T HAVE THIS PHONE SO PLEASE MAKE A NANDROID FIRST
This is a Jelly Bean Rom. As I stated earlier it does not include a kernel. So if you are coming from a Rom that isn't Jelly Bean you need to first install a Touchwiz based safe Jelly Bean kernel. So copy the Jelly Bean kernel to your phone. Boot into your recovery. Flash the Jelly Bean kernel and then flash this Rom. Or if you are using Odin just Odin the Jelly Bean kernel and install the Rom.

But thank you for all your hard work. We all really appreciate it.

OK thanks for pointing the error out. Download this updater-script.zip and open it up. Take the updater-script out of it and put it into the Rom zip. Location META-INF/com/google/android/. Try to install and it should work. Let me know good or bad please. If it works I will fix and reupload the full zip.

Changing the updater-script allowed me to flash this rom successfully. I looked in 'about phone' to see if anything was changed there but it looked the same. However, I know it installed properly because I was able to flash the MC2 Hotspot mod. Thanks for all your superior work on this even though you do not have a note 2. :fingers-crossed:

I am on MA7 and rooted stock, do I simply flash this, and if stock an I Deodexed, or Odexed ?? I know one is for themeing I assume, and if there will be a new release soon again from what I read, should I simply wait.

What your coming from wouldn't matter much. Stock is Odexed and Deodexed is mainly for theming and Mods. You can switch back and forth at any time. Remember that this doesn't include the firmware so you would want to install those separately if you choose to use the Rom. I am uploading new versions to fix the install error so I would wait for that. Also people have said there are some bugs in MC2. So that is up to you on whether you want to give it a try or not.

Hello,
Just thought I would post this for you T999v users out there.
It's the 4.3 update now available on kies.
Proceed with caution like us with the T999. You'll have to deal with Knox and root issues in sure.
Not sure what the differences are between the T999 and the T999v update if any besides the corresponding files needed for that phone.
Anyways, here's the Samsung link

Nice. Come on Samsung, let's keep this rolling. My T999L still hasn't been updated to 4.3.
FYI, you can use Mobile Odin to flash only the modem and then use one of the T-mobile roms. This way you can bypass Knox.
Just load the file in mobile odin. Then tap all the partitions except for the modem and select clear to ensure they don't get flashed

is 4.3 modem different from 4.2.2?
i dont understand why there was no need of flashing modem when moving from a 4.2.2 custom rom to a 4.3 one?

T999V 4.3 Rom!
For any who are interested, here is a deodexed, Knox Free 4.3 Rom built from Wind's MK5 firmware! I am fairly certain that all the Canadian carriers roms will be very closely related, and anyone can flash this if they so choose. It should work on the T999 and T999L as well, provided you have the correct modem for your model. Anyway, I hope some of you find it useful!
Warning: I currently do not have a phone and so I cannot test this. I am confident it will work as expected, but I make no guarantees. Flash at your own risk!
If you do try this Rom out, please let me know if WiFi is working or not. If not, flashing the AT&T kernel should fix this. Also, let me know if you have updated to 4.3 by flashing the OTA or official firmware.
Enjoy!

Could you elaborate? Do you mean it was bootlooping? If so at what point would it shut down and loop? What modems and kernels did you try?
same here Doc i flashed the file then flashed the mk4 modem in twrp. everything showed successful but it keeps boot looping.

Okay, Heres the thing. I was on TW Stock 4.3 Debloated Odex v1.0. I wanted to try something different plus the TW was getting old, so I wanted to go to a CM based ROM. I tried to flash Liquids ROM and it didnt go through. Ive tried Task's ROM and that didnt work. I want to try and flash the bootloaders but Im scared to brick my phone can someone give me some advice?
I personally have tried everything I know to flash something other than TW on my phone since I got it, with no luck finding anything that will flash and it never made any difference when I was on 4.1.1 or now that I am on 4.3, I really like my SIII but the lack of freedom enforced by Samsung and the carriers has turned me totally against Samsung, my next phone will be a Nexus 5, I am even having trouble with the TW roms I make with now with Android Kitchen, maybe someone else will be able to explain and why nothing, I can find that's being developed for I747M, in the 8 months I had this phone have not been able to find 1 working rom that will flash on the I747M, I am not in Canada though I am in Mexico

What bootloader do you have?
If I am not mistaken you have to update the bootloader to do it
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I assume you have the canadian samsung s3 i747m.
I had this problem as well but I managed to do some digging and fix the problem. The problem was that the developers forgot to add I747MVLUEMK5 as a bootloader in the "updater-script". The updater script is responsible to make sure you don't flash the wrong rom with the wrong samsung model. Since i747mvluemk5 was not added, the phone failed the inspection. To solve this, add the bootloader "I747MVLUEMK5" into the d2att cyanogenmod zip file. Basically, this is what you do:
1) Download the d2att stable 10.2 cyanogenmod
2) unzip the d2att stable 10.2 cyanogenmod
3)And then open META-INF>com>google>android>updater-script
4)Once you found updater-script, open it with notepad
5)Then you must add this bootloader script since it is missing: || getprop("ro.bootloader") == "I747MVLUEMK5"
6)Obviously, don't just copy exactly like mine, but make sure I747MVLUEMK5 is there. Not sure, but i think you can delete one of the bootloaders such as I747MUMBLL1 and replace it with I747MVLUEMK5 instead.
7)after you made your change of the updater-script, rezip the files and flash it.

Thanks to everyone working on the OTA, such as Savoca and Autoprime checking the OTA status.
The ZVA update has a lot of good and some bad things. I've "tinkered" with Samsung OTAs before and gotten them to flash but there was always a problem with Sprint's Chameleon implementation on Samsung that caused things not to behave the same when flashing the modified zip.
Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case with LG. :good:
So here are two ZIPs for your use. Use at your discretion and as usual, I give my standard disclaimer: Your phone, your flash, your responsibility.. not mine.
Link to ZIPs:

Why two versions? Both skip recovery and revert aboot image so that Loki can still work.
But during first set of tests I received an assert error on magazines.odex.
If you get this try the second one, in which I removed that assert and update.
If you get a build.prop assert error on the second you'll want to try and find yourself a stock version and flash again.
For me I had to do the TOT again to get it to work.
Now the other bits of information:
1) Both remove the device assert because TWRP doesn't use that model ID. So make sure you only use this on the SPRINT model.
2) I do recommend taking a backup before as I had some funky results after the update. One time system disappeared... another time took especially long to restart. After doing a second time it does seem to be working properly. So may not hurt to back up right after flashing the zip so that you have a good copy of ZVA to work off of.
3) You can stay rooted and you do not need to re-root afterwards. The first time I got a prompt from SuperSU to update the su binary, but not the second time. In either case root was not checked during OTA so you don't need to mess with it.
Any questions feel free to let me know. Again thanks to all and enjoy!
(Added 10:50 CST)
I want to also caution one thing at the moment. Those wanting to keep using AOSP ROMs should not flash ZVA at the moment.
At the moment it's causing a boot loop and several of us are trying to figure out what the cause is.
Awesome! Testing this now, I'll post my own results too.

One other precaution because it seems a person just bricked testing radio packages...
Don't be a hero. If it's acting up, go back to recovery and restore a backup or flash the ZV8 TOT.
Updates are cool and everyone wants it, but it's not worth bricking over.

Only question I can come up with is should folks be on stock rooted ODEX rom before doing this or is ANY rooted ODEX/DEODEX rom ok? If you don't know one way or the other, what where you on when you did it?
I am "assuming" by the stock statement you meant stock odex rom but figured I'd ask just to make it crystal clear for all. As we've seen in the last 24hr, crystal clear is very much needed.

yes stock rom with twrp
Flashed from stock rom with TWRP 2.6.3.3 using testupdate.zip with no issues. Did not need to use update 2.
If someone that has NOT ran this yet could, please post or PM me their build.prop from the stock + TWRP rom before doing the update?
Thanks:good::good:

One other precaution because it seems a person just bricked testing radio packages...
Don't be a hero. If it's acting up, go back to recovery and restore a backup or flash the ZV8 TOT.
Updates are cool and everyone wants it, but it's not worth bricking over.

Hello s3 users i just upgraded to this phone and it came with 4.1.2 so i rooted it of course and next thing you know my 3yr old somehow updated phone to 4.3:crying::confused i still have root but if i uninstall knox security will it jack my phone up or brick it also is the bootloader locked or not on this model just need clarfication.or do i just use xda member cLogic instructions and reroot and remove knox..
I'm not too sure but if I recall correctly this doesn't stop you from rooting. Anyone else care to chime in with your expertise? @DocHoliday77
Edit : upon reading the thread by cLogic I'm sure this works. It sounds logical, and his method makes sense and others have posted in the thread. Make sure you follow the instructions properly.

Bootloader is not locked, and the easiest way to get rid of knox imo is to flash the root66 firmware. There are flashable scripts out there that do so as well, but ive never used em so I dont know how thorough they are.

No need to use any removal method if your going to flash a rom. Afaik all roms already have it removed. But if you want to remain on your current build but remove knox, yes flash the removal as per instructions where you find it. (I think theres one in AT&T forums that might be easier to find).

Root T999 (variants) on android 4.3 AND remove knox
:good:
Forgot about that one! Thanks! It is old though so as I said before I dont know if itd be a complete removal on NC2 firmware. It should be fine, but no guarantees.

ok..so i uninstalled with knox removal zip.Im running 4.3 ota rooted twrp 2.6.3 can i install any t999 rom or only 4.3+ up because i seen somewhere on here you cant install older builds because the bootloader on 4.3 dont play well with older builds
You can flash older roms just fine. As for if they'd be better or worse on 4.3 firmware I'm not sure. Should be ok though, depending on how old you want to go. The further back, the more likely it is you might see some issues, but not many have done this so I can't say for sure.

Thanks:good:..One more thing,ok im running stock 4.3 rooted build uvuenc2 t999 twrp recovery 2.5.0.0 i read that i cant restore backup with twrp do i overwrite twrp with cwm to backup or what also while backing up in twrp do i backup boot, cache or just system,data,etc..
System - rom
Boot - kernel
Data - (apps, settings, etc)
I use twrp 2.7.0.0 and have no issues. Haven't used cwm in several years. Yours is very old though. If you dont update it it will probably give you problems.

CM still hasnt bothered to update their updater-scripts to include the latest firmware builds. You will have to manually edit the script and either delete ALL "assert" lines, or add your firmware build to it.

Well i also tried to flash a different rom using twrp 2.7.0 t999 4.3 and got the same error??and also where could i find a good editing script tried 7zip but it came with malware so had to delete.I really like cm and want to try.
Use Notepad++ for editing the script. Get it here: http://notepad-plus-plus.org/
Get 7-zip from here: http://7-zip.org
Not sure where you got yours if it says its malware. I've been using it for years with zero issues and believe it can be trusted. Just extract the contents of the rom, find the updater-script in the meta-inf folder tree and edit with notepad++. Also delete the signatures if they are present (3 files in the meta-inf folder). Some roms have them, some dont. CM probably does.
There are many roms out there that have not been updated to include the latest firmware builds. You more than likely got another one like it.
