Email signature size limit - LG Optimus G Pro

Has anyone run into the email signature size limit?
Even better, does anyone know a way to increase the email signature size limit?
Thx.

That thought had crossed my mind.
Any recommendations?
I used K9-Mail several years ago, but the latest version still looks to be lacking threaded conversations.

The HTC sense mail client on my rezound has me spoiled. None of the email clients I tried has the desired mix of features.
Suggestions anyone?

[Q] modded email apk

Has anyone hacked the email apk to bypass exchange security?
+1 for this...
The stock email app will not let me connect to my exchange server. It says that the device does not support the security policy required by my exchange server. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Dumb question...you tried Enhanced Email?
Someone post it up please. The email.apk

Any help would be fantastic. Thanks.
+1 for this.
I could connect to my works exchange with cm7 but not on stock.
Enhanced email works but it has major issues with ics. It FC when auto-sync is turned on. So I either get work emails or Gmail.

+1 could really need this!
Did you try to select "SSL/TLS Accept all certificates" in Security type ?
Alright guys I have unpacked those files and they are slightly different compared to the gingerbread email application which is based of the Seven application.
Will see what I can do.

Would it be possible if we use CM9 Email source?
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_packages_apps_Email/tree/ics
Based from it, we just need to modify the isActive function to return true under SecurityPolicy.java? Am I right?

I recently added my work email to my phone. Since then I have received emails with attachments that I am unable to download because the file size is too large. Is there a fix for this? Maybe a setting somewhere that I'm missing? :banghead:

Are you using ActiveSync (Exchange) or are you using POP/IMAP?
If you are Using ActiveSync, are they pushing out policies to your phone? If so, they may have a limit on the size of the attachments that you can open from the phone.
I'm using exchange but there were no policy push to the phone.

Try downloading from the website if they have one instead of the app.
There is a setting on the email app that limits the max size email it will download. Change it to "all".

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8 with work email (exchange activesync) when I try to open larger PDF file say 12mb I get an error message that says "Unable to download. File size too large". This is not a compromise for me as I constantly was PDF with work and a lot of them can be quite large. I switched from iPhone 7 hate to admit but it had no problem opening these PDF's. Also, I have tried just about every other popular email app with no luck. PLEASE HELP so I don't have to switch back to iPhone.

Is there any way to install HTC Mail app on Nexus ?

So, is there any way we can install the HTC mail app on our Galaxy Nexus ? I love that mail client and i would use it on my nexus also.
I guess it requires htc sense framework, so most probably no.
If this is not possible, what is the best mail client ? The default one is horrible
K9 was a really popular one last time I needed an alternative to stock

Mail clients on Android are pretty terrible. You've either got the choice of equally bad open source clients like K-9, or ad-ridden clients like Aqua Mail or Maildroid that require a payment to get the pro version.
I stick to the default mail client because it works fine for me despite being kinda crappy.
Everything is crap. Only the HTC one was ok for me... Isnt there any way to port it ?

What's wrong with the nexus default? I use both accounts and constantly get mail almost every minute on of them. Gmail is the one pissed about, its slow and unreliable most times.

The HTC one has some excellent features which you just don't get on the defaut client, like the ability to see all emails from all folders and all accounts in one pot.. That would be the main selling point for me!, is there a paid for client that can do that?

I have been using Touchdown to access my official mails (exchange server). Feature wise I think this is the best mail client on android but UI can be better.

Thanks Zepius but this doesn't let you view all emails from all selected folders, it only combines the inboxes from two or more accounts.

REQUEST - SecMms.apk replacement?

I'm sick of using Samsung's built in message app. It's max mms file size limitation and mms slideshow viewer are as irritating as can be.
I have tried GO SMSPro and looked into Handcent SMS, but both apps seem to be bloated with unnecessary "features" such as theming, and stores. I just want a basic stock(ish) experience. I have downloaded Cyanogen mod and Xperia mms apps and attempted to rename, replace and set permissions to no avail. It seems as if android doesn't recognize them at all.
I finally did find the stock android messaging app in a thread dedicated to the Note 2, but it seems a little... too basic for my tastes.
Any help would be appreciated.

Which carrier are you on? Because if it's att you are limited to 600kb. You could set the mms file limit size to 1 gig if you wanted but you are still limited by what the network will allow to pass through.. I haven't found a way to bypass the network limitations either pal

I feel the same way you do, I've tried so many but nothing to my liking. The Cyanogenmod mms.apk is the best but when I installed that over the stock one everything worked but it would crash trying to send a pic.
I've found one that isn't too bad, it's clean, small and fast. Try out Textra, you might like it.

Gmail 5.0 anyone?

Has anyone upgraded (via the store) to Gmail 5.0? It's supposed to be rolling out now, I haven't got it yet. But I'm excited to be able to run exchange and Gmail through a single client.
I got it!! Looks amazing its like Inbox but without all the extra BS

It is great, I love it. I never got to use Inbox because my "gmail" is actually my domain with Google apps so I don't really know how inbox is. This new update to gmail is fabulous, looks great, works amazingly well. Love it. Can't way until most apps are utilizing material design...

You only need an invite for Inbox. I really like the GMail update, but Inbox is a new paradigm that matches the way I wanted to use Gmail...so for me I prefer it.

No BJ here from it but I do like it and the new layout thus far.
I am still on 4.9. :/
The new Gmail does support exchange right?
I got an Inbox invite today. Downloaded it, and no exchange support. So I'm not sure I'm going to give it a lot of time for now.
Not really a huge Inbox fan. I love that Gmail added exchange supprt, but the way you switch account is cumbersome.

I'd like to know how this is done as well. I side loaded Gmail 5 and I still only see option to add a Pop/Imap mailbox. I haven't seen any reference to Exchange.

Yea, after I posted I did some searching and found it.
If anyone has a invite to spare I'd like one. ...just saying, pm me and I'll give you email Tia
Only real issue now is (maybe I'm just missing it) that I don't see a "combined" inbox with all accounts lumped together like Samsung' email client does.

Yup. that is my biggest issue as well. I hope they update it soon. It's a big phone to be crawling up to the top of the screen in order to select a different account. A combined inbox would be ideal, but i would settle with all the accounts listed in the pull out menu rather than just the current box.
