Please help!
I have been having problems with connecting to the main camera. With several different ROMs I'm having this issue. jaydub's official PACMAN, Jedi SOA, etc. One person in a thread told me to google "camera won't load t889" and look for a link to xda. Well I have searched google and xda for that and many different other phrases to try and find the file I have to save to my sdcard from a TW ROM or stock in-order to get my camera working on other ROMs again. I love the phone and screen size. I enjoy using the camera to capture moments of my kids, but it has been a major problem as of late. PLLLLEASSEEEE help.
Post link to thread, or google link, or something please. Maybe even the file I need to copy. If this is taken care of in another thread I apologize for I couldn't find it. Please post it's link if that's the case.

Have you tried a third-party app like Camera JB+?
Yes I have, no luck

I have a similar issue on AOSP ROMs. Like every other day, my phone will be unable to connect to camera, a simple reboot fixes it, go figure.

No fix from reboots for me

sorry guys, since i couldn't post my problem on the development section, i posted my question here.
I am running CyanogenMod 10 Nightlies 4.1.2. I noticed the photos i take with the stock camera app cannot be seen. The photos seem to be fine when i use a third party app (Pudding camera).
Is this a known issue? i am just asking around to confirm if its a problem with the ROM and not an outcome of my stupidity. Otherwise its a brilliant ROM. thanx.

No, it's not a known problem, at least I don't have it.
They don't appear at all in the gallery app?
Go to application manager (rough translation)
Clear data from these apps:
Gallery
Media storage
Then reboot and you should be fine.
thank you

You should really stop making threads for every question you have. Its not cool.
1.) There are two aokp threads. You didn't even specify which one.
2.) You could have asked this question in either one of those threads.
3.) You could've just followed XDA Rules and searched either one of those threads for it.
4.) You shouldn't make others to the legwork for you. This can easily be taken care of by yourself. Download one of the Roms and get the apk you want. Its that simple.
5.) Or just simply flash the ROM and gapps again. Takes less than a minute to do.

I guess I could do 5 the thing is when I did it with 4.2 standalone for some reason it just drained and triggered my wakelocks. A lot of people are missing gallery apk off the ota. I dont want to repeat the same mistake on 4.1.2. I will try to dig it out of one of your previous releases, but I can't seem to find a link for that. You just post a direct download. A lot of developers take you to a site to select the download version you want.

You can actually do all of the things i suggested. They are actually part of the rules here on XDA, especially for a resgistered user such as yourself. I think your misunderstood of what your issue is. The camera app in my roms haven't changed in months. Its the same camera in all versions. So it doesn't matter which release you download dude. And no. Not a lot of people are missing anything from the OTA. You're the only one.
Hello to all,
Im new to the forums and rooting, so I am still learning, please bear with me.
I have SEARCHED this for days and days, and still have no answer. Please don't flame, if you know where to find the answer please direct me to a link

My dad has a SGH- T989 (Tmobile Galaxy S2).
His issues:
1) phone didn't receive calls all the time
2) when factory camera app opens all images were fuzzy or staticy
3) images of static when taken didn't save.... random icon app shows up in gallery
4) If you used Skype - camera was fine
SO I knew it couldn't be the camera itself.... so i decided to root the phone and update firmware/software and see what happens
I used CWM, then Jedi Mind tricks V6
phone seems fixed, camera screen seems fixed (no more fuzzy), but..... when you take a pic the image is a generic icon still. See pic I took with my GS4 attached.
any idea whats going on?
I have read that 4.2.x may have this issue.... should I try a different ROM?
Thanks for any direction

Try a ROM that is 4.1.x. I had a similar problem where a lot of my pictures didn't show up, so I switched to a different ROM and it seemed to have worked. I'm on Infamous right now, and it works fine. Or you can try JediJelly, which is similar to JMT, but is updated and works rather well.

Hi guys,
Every time my Sprint S3 power cycles, I lose the functionality to use PhotoSphere. I have no idea why. I've tried different recovery options, fixing permissions...nothing.
It explains why all of a sudden .zip that previously had worked for me stopped working, and why now I'm able to do it with the APK file.
Honestly, I'm OK with re-installing that APK every time I want to use PhotoSphere, but there's got to be a better fix than that! Any suggestions, ideas, avenues to explore &c would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Do you mind sharing the APK that you used to get Photosphere?
The one or two that I've tried both have the functionality, but the "window" where I'm supposed to see the image being photosphered stays blank. I'm hoping I need a newer/better APK.
Thanks.

I can try - but I was pretty sure I posted a link to the thread in which its posted in your very photosphere thread asking for it - so check there if this doesn't work (my posting a link anyway). But here you go:

Ahh... that was you that provided the link. Thanks for the help.
I did try using that APK, but like I said... for some reason the camera image never displays in the box. I see the box and the blue circle... just no image. I dont get it. I dont have problems with any other camera app.
Thanks anyways. Good luck finding a fix for your issues.
Hi everyone.
Yesterday i got my new OnePlus 7T. After a while I saw one post about gcam here on xda. There was 6.2 gcam, 7.2 gcam and one xml file that was marked as 6.2. I tried installing 7.2 and ran it without installing xml file before as i thought that was for 6.2 and 7.2 would have it inside.
So i run gcam 7.2 and while zooming camera became completely green or even red (only in the part you can see the image not the app). Closed it, opened stock camera just to see if it still worked but now even the stock camera is making that green screen.
Reboot etc. now when i open instagram and try to shoot a selfie with a filter, it completely freezes the camera until i close ig. I can only see camera working again when i open it again.
Anybody can help? Do i need to ask for a replacement for it since it arrived yesterday?
Seriously? Not a single ****ing one that can help me? This is not the forum i used to know, xda just want money now isn't it? **** off

I’ve to some ideas, but if you’re going to be an asshole, you can sort it yourself.
Sure I will

Maybe you should go into the gcam thread and ask for the help there don't you think? Me personally I don't take pictures like that and if I would I'll just use the stock camera so I obviously ain't no help, I can't speak for everyone else.
