I'm having trouble with S Voice. Every time I try to use it it say no network connection. I'm know I a have network connection because I'm either on wifi or LTE. I've tried clearing the data in applications manager and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas as how I can fix it?

Did you download the leak S4 s-voice because thats where most of the network connection problem came from but if its the regular s-voice that came with your phone maybe you can uninstall updates for it.
Yeah I did install the s4 leak a few weeks before the md4 update. Should I still uninstall the updates?

Hello everyone I bought galaxy nexus week ago really loving the phone but when im on 3g when downloading app from market gives me error 403? What Is that mean? And I can download with wifi but not 3g. Any solutions?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
might be network issue or even block. or try clearing market cache. or possibly just waiting it out if it's network issue.
The phone is with bell but I'm using it with mobilicity make any difference?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
i doubt that would make the difference. the network issues i meant were congestion, mobilicity blocking the download through their network or possibly google server congestion. i say just clear your cache, try again and if no worky, try later. if it still doesn't work ask again.

Just go to settings - more - mobile networks - apn
Then delete the proxy in mowap and reboot.

i had no problem for the 2+ years i was tethering and using it as my home internet. then one day a few months ago, i got the same message from tmobile. point is, it only takes one time. it has nothing to do with jelly bean or ics, or gingerbread. now i pay $15 a month to tether and use it as my home internet.
Alright, thanks. I hope that is not the case.
Does anyone else have any other experience after switching to jelly bean? Anyone replicate this problem or have an app that works?

Also, I have tried wireless tethering, which is based on same open source software.
It says it started tethering with errors and to check the log, which then says that the log doesn't exist and it can't open it. Same error with opengarden tethering.

my epic 4G has a wifi tether app ( the yallow one ) anyway when i use it to connect my Google Nexus 7" tablet before i update to 4.1.1 it works but after i updated to the latest jelly bean my nexus wont even find the signal anymore,
BTW i tried SVTP WiFi Hotspot and USB Tether - Lite it works but is it safe or does the carrier detect that , thanks
I am on Verizon, and I had a lot of issues when I first moved to jb on 4.1. Originally I used wireless tether app, as I used it on every other version I had. It would not work. I even tried using barnacle from the party site, and same thing.
I finally switched to 4.1.1, and just used the built in tether, and it has been working fine for about 3 weeks now. I never got a message about being to call tech support, but then again this is Verizon and I am not sure who your provider is.
It might be like someone said above about them knowing you are using it, and you need to call to set it up. If that is the case, that sucks.

Yup seems like jb broke the app, I can tether with the native app but on Sprint that knocks you off wimax and only leaves you with 3g. I can confirm its a jb thing because its working fine on my wife's evo that is still on 2.3 also worked fine on ICS. Like others it seems to start up fine but my tabblet won't pick it up.
something clever goes here...
After alot of hit and misses I finally got internet access using pdanet, foxfi, and enabling bluetooth network access. It's not the best but it was wiresless and free.

If that doesn't work disable then re-enable WiFi.

Going to CM10 from stock requires a complete wipe before flashing, so it would not have mattered which ROM you used before this one. The baseband that is controlled by the stock ROM does not affect WiFi, those drivers are managed by the new ROM and it's kernel.
For the OP, have you tried telling your phone to forget your current network and then setting it up all over again?

If that doesn't work, and I do kind of doubt that it will, you can try clearing the data and cache for the play store.
Settings > Apps > Swipe over to "All" > Google Play Store. Clear Data, then open the App again.
Shouldn't matter one but.

Yesterday i recieved the notification that 4.1.2 was ready for install on my stock yakju galaxy nexus. After the install i noticed i could no longer tether (that same day i had tethered my xoom over wifi pre update). Today i tried to tether with wifi, usb, and bluetooth and not one of them will work. I've reset the computers/tablets, i've reset the phone, and i'm 100% stock with no root.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? my googling has turned up with nil.
I'm debating doing a factory reset, but would prefer not to if anyone has some suggestions i can try. Does anyone have a suggestion?

I had the same problem. However, FoxFi just updated their app to work with 4.1.2. I also got the FoxFi addon. Not sure if the add makes the difference or not.

i'm curious, what frequencies does your provider use? mine is 850/1900 HSPA. i think. My theory is that it's only broken for some frequencies, which could be valueable debug info for the google people
My carrier uses 850/1900 3G bands. My issue is my tablet sees the connection and connects but the wifi icon never goes blue so it never gets internet.

LS,
Last week I had a Samsung Expert @ Best Buy to upgrade my I-747 to Android 4.3. The phone is working perfect since then, even the battery drain is NOT an issue, in fact I noticed that battery last longer now. Even the good performance so far, I have 2 issues:
Each time my S3 connects to wifi, I get a notification of 2 particular files DOWNLOAD COMPLETE however these PDF files were donwloaded months ago. I clear the notification area, but when I switch from 4G to wifi or visa versa, I get the notifications back.
I'm unable to activate hotspot
Any ideas how to solve this...?
Try clearing the cache of download manager.....that usually fixes those problems.....as for the WiFi thing you may need to be rooted and use a third party hotspot app
Sent from my ATT Samsung Galaxy SIII using TapaTalk
@CrazyMonkey: Clearing the Download Manager helped solve the issue; I didn't think about that :cyclops: :good:
As for the hotspot, the stock "Tethering and portable hotspot" never worked, so I downloaded a widget from Sharp Communications (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sharp_eu.ste.wifihotspot) and hotspot worked with no problem.
Since the upgrade to 4.3, when I turn on the widget, I get the same error as the stock is giving me "Mobile data is not available or invalid SIM".

Well carriers try to get every penny they can from you....I don't know about the s3 as mine is not in active service....but on most phones tethering needs to be bought from a carrier unless you root the device
